  1. If a Pokémon only learns a move via TM or TR in SWSH, it needs to also have the Relearn Flag for that move. Open the Relearn Flags menu and apply those flags. It may be possible to get around this via HOME's move relearner/learning the move in a different game, but PKHeX is still in the process of accounting for all of the HOME 3.0.0 interactions, so some legitimate Pokémon may appear illegal if they have traits that are only possible through HOME 3.0.0 interactions.
  2. That is garbage data as a result of PKHeX reading what it believes "should be" pokemon data in the Poké Pelago storage slots. You'll also find that sometimes after putting a Pokémon into the Poké Pelago, or daycare, or fusing then unfusing Pokémon, that the box report/verify all PKM options will show "clones" of your Pokémon in those slots, because the game sometimes doesn't entirely clear the data from those slots even after the Pokémon has moved out of them.
  3. There are, some readers don't fit with the cart shell intact.
  4. Personally, for the features and price, I recommend the https://www.epilogue.co/product/gb-operator if you wanted to purchase a cart reader, as it also has a built in cart legitimacy checker (to check for bootleg games), and a built in emulator. I bought mine when they were up for pre-order, haven't regretted it. The only downside is it can't flash new game ROMs onto flashcarts/blank carts, but most users don't need that feature, and you don't have to take your game cart's shell apart to plug it into the reader.
  5. If it originates from Gens 3 through 7 (SM/USUM) and Virtual Console, it's easiest to generate them in Gen 7, and then send through Bank and HOME to ensure HOME has the correct data. If it originates in GO, and is LGPE compatible, generate it in LGPE, then send to HOME. (If it isn't LGPE compatible, there's no game you can generate it in where HOME will have 100% correct data for it, and you cannot inject directly into HOME or GO, as both are server-side games that cannot be manipulated.) If it originates from SWSH, generate it in SWSH, then send to HOME. If it originates from BDSP, generate it in BDSP, then send to HOME. If it originates from Legends: Arceus, generate it in Legends: Arceus, then send to HOME. If it originates from Scarlet or Violet, generate it in Scarlet or Violet, then send to HOME. If it's a HOME gift you directly redeem in HOME, there's no way to generate these where they appear 100% legal in HOME, since HOME itself is doing the generation. TLDR, if you want HOME to have the correct data to ensure it appears 100% legal, it has to enter HOME from the "game HOME expects it to enter from for the first time".
  6. If it doesn't have any data showing it's been traded, and it's still currently in X, how do you expect it to have obtained any ORAS ribbons? Make sure to set data that would imply it's been traded, like a latest not-OT handler name and language (and memories/3DS locations, etc.) Also, yes, if you're making it in X, then it obviously can't have any Gen 7 ribbons, because Gen 6 didn't have Gen 7 backward transfers.

  8. As of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Gamefreak/TPCi/Nintendo have shown they have the capacity to validate savefiles that connect online, linking them to a specific Nintendo account. What this meant in Legends: Arceus is that publicly uploaded savefiles would block anyone else who attempted to use them online, (aside from the original Nintendo account associated with the savefile), from accessing any online features. While we haven't yet had any reports of the same blocks occurring in Scarlet or Violet yet, we are operating under the assumption that they still have the capacity to validate savefiles, which means they may pose a ban risk for both the original uploader, and anyone using said publicly uploaded save. We are currently removing any Scarlet or Violet save that anyone attempts to upload. Any uploaded will be removed with notice. Additionally, all savefiles uploaded in the future are being screened and approved manually by staff, before appearing publicly. What you can upload, (as these don't appear to pose a similar risk): Save blocks that don't contain identifying information, (such as clothing blocks) .pk9 files containing individual Pokémon & .zip files containing multiple .pk9 files pcdata.bin files containing full box data For your sake, as well as others' sake, please don't upload Scarlet or Violet savefiles. 9. There is a general Colo/XD RNG method, but some pokemon in Colo and XD have specific RNG methods. In Pokefinder, selecting the Colo or XD method will show a second dropdown called "Shadow" that you can pick specific mons from. If it's not on that list, it uses the general Colo/XD method.
  10. Honestly, it would be faster to simply start a new savefile and edit in a level 100 Pokémon (make sure to match the trainer name, trainer gender, both IDs so it obeys you) into the party, and speedrun the first 3 gyms. You could even load the ROM and savefile into an emulator to assist with speeding things up, since emulators can run at any speed you want. Recreating the savefile solely in PKHeX by manually editing flags and values would take longer than actually legitimately playing up to that point, even cheat free.
  11. This post is from 2019, the QR code injection method was patched, (if I remember correctly), unless you already have a hacked 3DS.
  12. The trainer name and ID values are not tied in any way, but there are some TID and SID combinations that cannot exist in certain games, but aside from those cases, they can be random. If in doubt, use an RNG calculator for the game you're altering the IDs of, and make sure that it's a combination that's possible to obtain, or just start a new savefile and copy the IDs you get from that.
  13. This is a known issue and a temporary one. HT memories change every time the pokemon enters a new savefile/is traded, so it will eventually resolve itself.
  14. I can't replicate this. Keep in mind that the pokemon has to be in a box/party slot to be affected by batch editor commands, it doesn't affect the currently loaded pokemon in the viewer on the left.
  15. The one you obtained from the bot appears to be from Larrybudd's bot, which I assume is running a fork of Sysbot.NET that matches the trainer information to the player requesting a Pokémon. Select a different Sysbot.NET host on a different discord server that does not use that fork/doesn't have an auto-OT matching feature.
  16. Your best option would be to load this file into an emulator again, load the game, make a save state, change the emulator settings to the correct savefile type and size, load the save state and then manually save ingame to generate a proper size/format savefile.
  17. If possible, another great feature would be if it supported looking at the PID in Gen 3 through 5, and the EC in Gen 6 through 8 savefiles (excluding LGPE and Legends: Arceus) to look for Dunsparce with the correct value in past-gen titles, since the calculation to determine whether it evolves into 3 Segment would be the same in those titles. With how the RNG works and various shiny hunting/RNG abuse methods, there's some cases in past-gen titles with much better odds/better access to Dunsparce with 3 Segment PID/ECs. Would make for easy searching for which Dunsparce to move up when HOME support for SV arrives.
  18. Yes, you do need a Switch running custom firmware to edit your own savefile. You can see if your switch is old enough to be modded without a hardmod here: https://ismyswitchpatched.com/ If it's patched, it requires a hardmod, a modchip physically installed inside. If unpatched, see this guide: https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/user_guide/sysnand/sd_preparation/ And these guides for managing your savefile: https://projectpokemon.org/home/tutorials/save-editing/managing-switch-saves/ If it IS patched and you can't/don't want to install a modchip, you may want to find a server with a Sysbot, an automated bot that can trade you Pokémon you make in PKHeX or from a Showdown/Smogon set. A public list of servers can be found here in the "sysbot-servers" channel: https://discord.gg/pkhex
  19. There is no "Hall of Fame" in Scarlet and Violet, and the ribbon is applied when you beat the Elite 4, and any time you challenge the Academy Ace Tournament.
  20. Custom firmware is required to access any Switch savefile. They are not stored on your SD card in a usable format unless extracted properly via a savefile manager homebrew app, or extracted from the nand internally.
  21. I don't believe there's a full tutorial here, but we do have a basic one pinned in our discord help channel: https://discord.gg/66PzPgD https://discord.com/channels/343093766477053953/367479180398428170/1093948772926631980
  22. They should only know that move by level-up if they're level 52 or above, otherwise it has to be an Egg move. None of the clones you mentioned are high enough level to have learned it via levelup, so if their details don't match up to one hatched from an egg, they cannot possibly learn the move. TLDR, They either have to be level 52+, or have hatched from an egg to know Hydro Pump.
