  1. Pokegen functions as a party/box to AR code program. That being said, you should always make sure you save the Pokemon you have edited on one of the side boxes FIRST. PokeGen only saves the .pkm files as they have been last saved on the side boxes, NOT as they have been last edited. And yes, I have, too, noticed the blank information when I load the file first.
  2. Oh okay! Is there any way to check a .pkm file through legality/legimacy of a Gen V Pokemon now? Has the Legality Checker been updated for Gen V?
  3. But it says in PokeGen that if you leave the PID box blank, it will always leave an "illegal" Pokemon. How do you make sure it's legal, then?
  4. Thank you so much! How did you manage to, btw, create a legal Pokemon like that so fast? In Gen 4, I remember I had to ask people with quad-core processors to generate the PIDs to match my specifications.
  5. Um, sorry, Recover is also a level-up move that may be learned at level 17 by both Jellicent and Frillish. May you create one that is not an egg Pokemon? Sorry, I want a Pokemon that meet my requirements. I hope I don't cause too much frustration by my nick-pickiness!
  6. Hi there! I just came fresh from Gen 4 and, now that I just got Black version, realized that the PID/IV process is a tad different. I've heard its a bit easier to generate PIDs, but I've had no luck on PokeGen. Anyhow, at the moment, I'll request a shiny Jellicent that can pass as legal. Please post as a .pkm file. Thanks so much! Hopefully it won't be too much of a bother, especially with the legality part.
  7. Sure... I'll use these: TID: 50399 SID: 29386 I never specified I wanted an Adamant nature (hehe). I actually want a Bold nature. Yes, 30 < IVs. Any gender is fine. Btw, Vlad, how in the world do you generate these? Do you have a supercomputer in your house to make rainbow tables? I'm just curious, after reading a bit of this: http://www.smogon.com/dp/articles/pid_iv_creation
  8. Heh, I want to bring this topic back up since I also have concerns with legal PIDs for shinies. Kazumi, I'm curious, how did you generate so many legal PIDs? Did you utilize the same method Sabresite used? Also, after browsing through Smogon's PRNG research and "abuse" thread, I'm beginning to question whether or not the catch date should be changed to suit the legality of the Pokemon. Please correct me on this if I'm wrong, since I barely have the time to read through the entire article. Personally, I'm just finding ways to make a PID for a shiny Rotom for use in competitive WiFi battles (and for showing off). However, I want to guarantee that the Rotom is absolutely legal, to avoid speculation during battles.
  9. That's why I thought it preferable to be a sub-group, since although it's a Pokemon role, it's not a major one. It's your preference, but I thought it'd be nice for new players to recognize them, regardless of their mention.
  10. Spin blocker, anti-spinner, hehe. There are a lot more good spin blockers than just Dusknoir, Destati. =)
  11. There's a "common rules of battling" thread up. Oh, and Wonder Guard Spiritomb!
  12. They can't argue against you, it's legit. There are some already known PIDs that generate perfect IVs, just different natures. I believe if the Nintendo guys notice that all large portion of your Pokemon's IVs are completely perfect, it's obviously skeptical. However, some guys manage to breed extremely near-perfect Pokemon and trade them at some sites, notably Smogon.
  13. I don't think there's any definite rules for "single free battles". Do you mean Standard play or Ubers, since they're both "single free battles"?
  14. Should mention "Anti-Spinners" somewhat as a subgroup. Maybe. O_o
  15. Just to clarify, when I said location, I believe I meant "Type" (i.e. Normal GBA, Ultra Rare GBA, Normal D/P, etc.). Will this sort of specification lead to more time in processing the PID? (Wow, a Quad Core, too much money!) Again, I may still be wrong with the "type" being a part of the PID. Correct me again if I'm wrong; I ran through the PID<->IV generator and it gave that "type" information along with the PID.
  16. I think it can go to natures and "location" too. Correct me if I'm wrong. I just want to know if this is possible since Pokemod could be so awesome as to edit nearly anything to make a Pokemon legal.
  17. Erm, not necessarily. The metagame nowadays is mainly focused on speed, perfect for the offensive player. I know there's some articles around on the web on what offensive teams are capable of. Anyhow, just do some research, look around. Are some Pokemon combinations ideal? Could they fend off a Salamence? Could it outspeed "this threat"? Destroy your opponent along with Stealth Rock? Block Stealth Rock itself? Consider everything! You will make a decent team if you just think about the basics such as typing and threat countering. It's obviously ignorant and unintelligent to group a random bunch of Pokemon together and call it a team.
  18. Just identify the wide variety of threats in the OU environment. It's a tough task, but it's worth it. Then, you can develop a rather decent (or superb!) team.
  19. Will it be also possible to generate a legit PID from a set of given IVs, shininess, nature, and capture location (Normal D/P, Normal GBA, etc)? ...and perhaps much faster than the IV -> PID generator by SCV (no offense SCV)? Yeah, I'm kinda asking a lot O_O I really dislike the restrictions in Pokesav's PID generator. =/
