answered Glitches when editing Soul Silver ROM
CrystalLink replied to butts's topic in ROM - NDS Discussion & Help
Probably an issue with the ROM you got. Also make sure you're using the most updated version of SDSME. -
How do you edit affection in PKHeX?
CrystalLink replied to CrystalLink's topic in Saves - Editing Help
Got it, found a compiled version with the issue fixed. Thanks. -
This tutorial will show how to properly import an edited save file into Sun/Moon First off, you will need the following tools: A .CIA installer PKHeX SaveDataFiler 1. Download SaveDataFiler (it should be a .CIA file), and put it on the root of your SD Card. 2. Put your SD Card into your 3DS and load up your .CIA installer. 3. Install the .CIA 4. Once installed, launch SaveDataFiler. 5. Hover over the Title ID for Sun/Moon and press R+X to remove the Secure Value. 6. Press Y to create a backup of your save data. 7. Once your have created a backup of your save, insert your SD Card back into your computer. You should now have a folder on the root of your SD Card called "filer". 8. Open the folder, and navigate the the "main" file. 9. Edit it however you like in PKHeX 10. Save it and overwrite the "main" file with the one you just edited. 11. Now put your SD Card back into your 3DS, and open up SaveDataFiler. 12. Hover over the Title ID for Sun/Moon and remove the Secure Value again. 13. Now goto the SD section, you should notice a new folder has been created with the name as (ID) (Tile ID), Hover over it and import your save. 14. Remove the Secure Value once more. 15. Your save should now work. Edit: 12/20/16 Apparently you can use JKSM to remove the SecureValue automatically. so either tool works I guess, just be sure your using the latest version of JKSM. If you have any questions or comments, please let me know .

You need to install SaveDataFiler. Once installed, hover over you the Title ID for Moon, And press R+X. The Secure Value should now be removed. Next, press Y to create a Save Data Backup. Now go to your sd card, You should now have a folder on the root of it called "filer". Open it and goto the "main" file. Edit however you want in PKHeX. Once edited, save it in the same location. Now go back into SaveDataFiler, and remove the Secure Value again, then, goto the SD section and import your save file. Remove the Secure Value again, an now your save should work.

I was wondering how to make a Pokemon appear as not traded. Whenever I go to change the OT to my name, it always switchs back to Not OT. (I am editing my Moon Save) How do I do this? Edit: Just had to make the TID and SID match the one I had, but when I change the affection, it doesn't save, even after clicking save. How would I go about fixing this?

I have a question about Pokemon Sun, should I cancel my pre-order and expect a .cia to be uploaded on the day of release, or should i just order it?

This tutorial will show how to replace textures in a .BMD0 file (Vs. Scenes, Fly sprites, etc.) First off, download the following programs: NitroExplorer2 Tinke (latest version) Mario Kart DS Editor Some kind of image editing software For this tutorial, I will be replacing Vs. Scenes. Step 1. Open NitroExplorer2 and navigate to a/1/6/6, extract the NARC. Step 2. Open the NARC with Tinke. Step 3. Find the file that you want to edit, the Vs. Scenes are usually start around the 80th file. Step 4. View the file and extract it (be sure when extracting the file you put .nsbmd at the end of what ever you named it). Step 5. Open Mario Kart DS Editor. Step 6. Goto Tools>Nitro Explorer>NSBMD ==> NSBMD + NSBTX Step 7. Select the file you extracted, and save the new .nsbmd, and the .nsbtx Step 8. You should now have a .nsbtx file, Open it in Mario Kart DS Editor. Step 9. Textures should appear, the top part contains the images, and the bottom part contains the palettes for the images. Step 10. Select the palette, then the image, and extract it as .png Step 11. Edit it however you like, color limit doesn't matter. Step 12. Save the image, then go back to Mario Kart DS Editor and replace the image. Step 13. Save the .nsbtx, and goto Tools>Nitro Explorer> NSBMD + NSBTX ==> NSBMD. Step 14. Rename the new NSBMD file to (name).BMD0 Step 15. Replace a Vs. Scene with the one you just edited. Step 16. Pack the NARC and re-insert it. Your .BMD0 should be working properly. If you have any questions, or comments, let me know .

pk3DS: Pokémon 3DS ROM Editor and Randomizer
CrystalLink replied to Kaphotics's topic in ROM - 3DS Research and Development
I'm also trying to compile pk3DS with SharpDevelop but I get this error message: The OutputPath property is not set for project 'pk3DS.csproj'. Please check to make sure that you have specified a valid combination of Configuration and Platform for this project. Configuration='Debug' Platform='AnyCPU'. This error may also appear if some other project is trying to follow a project-to-project reference to this project, this project has been unloaded or is not included in the solution, and the referencing project does not build using the same or an equivalent Configuration or Platform. How do i fix this? -
Will KSMT be able to edit trainer Pokemon, trainer classes, etc.

Iv'e made a list of some scripts in SDSME format for use with SDSME: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?50505-SDSME-scripting-information-(HGSS) I update it whenever I find new scripts. -
Hi. I decided to make this because i haven't seen any scripts listed for SDSME, they are all for PPRE. (Ctrl+F is your friend) Basic commands: Miscellaneous commands: Movements: (Movement 0x(ID) - Movement is the type of movement, ID is the number of times the movement is used. Overworld ID'S (Credit to Drayano) Pokemon selection screen (still needs some working on): I will be updating this whenever i find new scripts so check back often! If you have any questions or comments feel free to ask. Use this site for Dec to Hex or Hex to Dec conversion: http://www.binaryhexconverter.com/hex-to-decimal-converter

CrystalLink replied to butts's topic in ROM - NDS Discussion & Help
Well if neither PPTXT or SDSME is working for you i guess your best option would be to use DS Text Editor. -
answered Best text editor for HG/SS?
CrystalLink replied to butts's topic in ROM - NDS Discussion & Help
SDSME would be your best option, but since that isn't working for you i would recommend something like PPTXT. Also if you don't know the NARC file location for the game's text, refer to the HGSS File System: http://www.projectpokemon.org/wiki/HGSS_File_System -
Iv'e been having this issue when i add to my script "ApplyMovement 0x(OW ID) Movement_#(Movement ID)" no movement is applied, even though the Overworld ID is correct. Here is my script: PlayFanfare 0x5DC LockAll FacePlayer Message 0x1 WaitButton CloseMessageOnKeyPress ApplyMovement 0x9 Movement_#1 WaitMovement ReleaseAll End Iv'e also tried using PPRE, but that doesn't seem to change anything. I'm currently using SDSME 1.8.1 If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know .

answered HG/SS Pokepic DS error
CrystalLink replied to JonJon's topic in ROM - NDS Discussion & Help
Iv'e had this problem also. Sometimes it fixes itself if you make the first color in the palette the background color, but even still, you might get that error message. By the way, if your asking where to find the Pokemon sprites, they are in a/0/0/4 -
Im trying to replace lance's front sprite animation with a static animation, but I have no idea how to do it. Ive tried replacing the RNAN and RECN with ones that are assigned to a trainer who's front sprite doesn't have an animation, but that didn't seem to do anything. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know.

I assumed you could just use Tinke but apparently that's not the case. I have to use PokeDSPic Platinum. Whenever i goto import my image, i get an error saying "PNG has to be 8bpp indexed! This image will probably not work.", And then the image appears corrupted. I don't know what im doing wrong. The image I am using is 13 colors plus transparency color, and the dimension is 160x80. If anybody could help me fix this problem, or better yet, tell me another program that is easier to use, please tell me. Thanks

It seems like you are exporting the wrong file. The backsprite should be right below the file you exported- 12 replies

answered Help editing D/P/P Trainer back sprites
CrystalLink replied to Lousey Lotad's topic in ROM - NDS Discussion & Help
Yes it works on HGSS. To use it, select "unscramble" and select a scrambled sprite, A window should open prompting you to save. Save it and then edit it how you like, but it must be 16 colors or less. When your finished editing it select "Scramble" and select the sprite that you edited and should be scrambled. It should ask you to save so save it and it should be scrambled. If your getting an error saying that the image is not 64x800 you need to open Tinke and goto the sprite you exported and change the width to 64 and height to 800.- 12 replies
