  1. Interesting. I feel like it must have been that way in the original then. I'm not sure what I could have done to make that the case. It would make sense since the earlier areas were really weak so it would have been convenient to skip them unless you were raising a really low level pokemon from like a pokespot or something.
  2. I haven't noticed that before. Are you sure? I wonder if anyone else has encountered the same situation. I can't think of any reason why that would happen.
  3. Yeah, I'll reduce them in the next update. Glad you like it! 1. The NPC names I did indeed consider. From the perspective of somehow who already knows the game and is used to them as they were, it seems troublesome for them to change. However from the perspective of someone who is new to the game or someone who just generally found them silly, it makes sense to have new names. Not just in pokemon, but life in general, I think one should never keep something the way it is simply because they're used to it that way. Always strive to be better, even if it means adjusting a little. That's just my philosophy though. Of course anyone is welcome to change things as they see fit when the hack tools come out. 2. Yes, I do know about the shadow monitor actually. Now that I think about it, it should be easy to solve. In theory at least. Obviously it was a low priority because it doesn't affect the game play too much. I do indeed. I was going to make a guide eventually. I'll just write up some code to extract all the data and turn it into a text file. This will include all the level up moves and stats and such. I will also be doing the same for the original pokemon data since documentation on colo/XD is notoriously either lacking or egregious. The ground work was already done just by the process of making the hack. I was mainly just waiting for the game to be more stable. A lot is still subject to change based on feedback from the community. If you're still curious then this spoiler contains a list of every obtainable pokemon in the game, in the genIII pokedex order (differs slightly from national dex order after 251). This includes pokemon from pokespots and trades, as well as evolutions of any of those pokemon. So essentially any pokemon you can own at any point in the game. Again, subject to change. That would be an accident. It has been noted and will be fixed in the next update.
  4. Level 45, or if you've evolved it you can go to the move relearner at mt. battle and relearn it for 5 pokecoupons (it says 1000 but it's really 5)
  5. Oh well thanks! Don't worry I'm systematically working my way though all the text files so I'll find them all in the end .
  6. Yeah there will still be a few inconsistencies like that from time to time. I'll be slowly editing them out but since they don't really affect the game they won't be an immediate priority.
  7. There are 3 at each pokespot like in the original. The third one has a 10% chance .
  8. Hmm I'll probably just reduce the levels then. Thanks . Yes the patches should always be applied to a clean ISO. Make sure you keep a spare before patching.
  9. Ah I thought so, just checking that I didn't miss something. In general I had to break a lot of things to add a lot of things. To make an omelette you have to break a few eggs as the adage goes. A lot of things won't work as they used to or as they might be expected to so they've been removed from the game.
  10. Wow a lot to get through: 1. Have no idea what happened with nuzzle, I'll have to look into it. 2. I wasn't aware of the missing description, will fix it in the next update 3. The prof.pine text errors have been corrected in the recently uploaded update. the dan/danny error will be corrected in the next update 4. Yeah it was a hard choice with how to level the pokespots. They were all pitifully weak in but I wanted a few stronger options. They're harder to catch when they're overlevelled so you may struggle to catch them in the first place. Did you manage to catch any of them at that point? I may make it even harder or just elect to descrease their levels. We'll see. 5. Hidden power is independent of IVs now. The types and damage are hard coded for convenience. (60 power being to be in line with gen 6 of course)
  11. Yeah I removed trace from the game as a result. Did you get trace in game or through some alternate means? Huge power isn't a new ability btw, is that the one you meant?
  12. The original post has been updated with v0.9.1 which addresses the issues which have been raised so far. It's completely compatible with your current saves so you can just switch straight over to the new version. Make sure you apply the patch to a clean rom once again. I also added a change log to the post to detail the changes.
  13. No it isn't supposed to happen. I thought zangoose should always be OHKO'd but I guess it's a roll? I'll ev it to always OHKO. Yeah the shadow moves are stronger than in . At the hexagon brothers in you face moves like shadow wave which is a 40 base power spread move. with the 25% power reduction due to being a spread move it is effectively a 30 base power move. Also the pokemon you face just have better stats. It can be a little bit of a challenge but once you snag one or two of them it should be simple enough. I haven't heard of the Ishiiruka build. I'm excited to try it out. If you mean the text coming out of the box, I saw that too but I reckon it's because of forcing the game to run in a wider screen. The description is the exact same as it is in the original game so there's no other reason for it not to fit.
  14. Thanks for the kind words! I have more ideas for future versions in terms of the general story and characters.
  15. Ah I see! well I'm glad you managed to sort it out
  16. You probably pressed x or y by accident. When you press x/y the selection circle turns yellow and then you can move the pokemon quickly without the menu. It's just how the game is programmed. Hmm, I edited the script so that any pokemon can be renamed regardless of original trainer. I must have made a slight error. It will be fixed in the next update which I'll aim to release tomorrow with a few other bug fixes.
  17. I'm pretty sure it was a coincidence. It hasn't happened to me in 2 play throughs. There is a 4% chance of this happening so while rare, it's not impossible. Compare this to around a 6% chance of getting a critical hit.
  18. They're actually only 10%. It took me a little while to get all 3 so I guess you just got really lucky! I wanted to make them hard to catch without being impossible since the pokespot system can be time consuming so there are 3 factors involved. The encounter percentage, the steps required for them to eat a pokesnack and their catch rate. I decided to increase their catch rates just a little because it would be a shame to finally find one and then run out of pokeballs. However I made them eat pokesnacks quite quickly (pokesnacks are also a lot more expensive now) and as I mentioned they only have a 10% chance of being encountered. I hope you enjoy it. I would definitely choose nintendon't if you have a wii or wii u available. Dolphin might work okay if you have a really really good computer but probably won't be perfect still. Nintendon't runs flawlessly.
  19. No I took them out on purpose because they're broken. A lot of moves have been removed or changed so the sims don't work anymore. Like moves having their base power reduced in line with gen 6 means that a move that was meant to OHKO in a battle sim might not OHKO anymore making them impossible to complete. Some of them had win conditions which required specific moves that are no longer in the game. This is even worse in battle bingo which only has one move per pokemon. I know exactly how to edit them and have started working on them so don't worry they'll be great again. Plus it will be nice having new challenges to figure out from scratch. I'm interested to see what I can come up with using the new mechanics Good idea, I'll add it to the main post and in the download notes for the next version.
  20. indeed! https://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?48804-Pokemon-XG-NeXt-Gen
  21. someone else was complaining about the same thinng. Apparently using a different story patching software worked?
