  1. I figured as much. lol I beat the later parts of the game using the Meltdown trick. You entire party spams Meltdown with all but one of them equipped with Flame Shields and the remaining one with the Paladin Shield so you absorb Meltdown, and damage the enemy. When I grinded, I equipped Magic boosting Espers, which made Meltdown ridiculously powerful with all my characters, not to mention the fact I was at Level 99. Add the Gem Box relic ("Soul of Thamasa" in some releases), I was able to usually do 9000+ damage to every enemy and heal 9000+ HP to every party member FIVE TIMES in one round of attacking. lol Ah, I love it when my characters become ridiculously over-powered. ~STBE EDIT: darklord, buy Final Fantasy IV for the DS and play it. You'll be hooked to the series instantly. 'Nuff said. ~STBE
  2. I can understand how overwhelming the Augment system can be. I honestly was confused with it until about my third or so playthrough that I was able to use them and distribute them correctly. lol On the topic of FF6, I would REALLY welcome a difficultly boost if it was remade. I've only played through it ONCE and beat it very easily without using a single Esper in-battle (I still equipped them for Stat boosts and gaining Magic, but never summoned them in a battle). I also didn't use a single status buff or glitch to help me (Protect, Shell, Invis, the X-Zone trick, etc.). Even though I'll most likely level grind in the Dinosaur Forest (like I did in the SNES version before the final dungeon) to get all of my characters to Level 99 and teach them all the game's Magic, I would still like a difficulty boost to make the game more enjoyable. ~STBE
  3. I never really understood why people praise FF4 DS's difficulty. I had my Battle Speed set on 1 and the ATB system set on Active and it was still easy. I guess people didn't use the Augment system correctly? I found Augments to be fairly "broken", making the game very easy. An example is Rosa with Dualcast and Omnicasting. I'm able to cast Blink and Haste on all my party in just ONE TURN. You have no idea how easy that made Behemoth fights (and fights in general) throughout the game. I'm all up for a difficulty boost, but I hope they don't add something to make up for it. Maybe they could add a couple new "bonus" Espers in FF6 3DS, but that's it. I'm not sure how they would make up for a difficulty boost in FF5 3DS, but a semi-difficult game would be well liked in my eyes. ~STBE
  4. We all know Square Enix created remakes of Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV for the DS. In my own opinion, I think they were better than the originals, with my only disappointment being that the Onion Knight class in FF3 DS wasn't the default job. (Although, it did gain the ability to cast all White and Black Magic, so I guess it wasn't all that bad.) Anyways, since FF4 DS, a lot of fans have been waiting for a FF5 DS and FF6 DS. Suddenly, a thought crossed my mind. Since Nintendo revealed the 3DS, Square Enix would (without a doubt) be remaking FF5 and FF6 on the 3DS... If they plan to remake them anyways. Now for the main question... Would you buy Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy VI if Square Enix would remake them on the 3DS? Don't be afraid to discuss how epic these games would be on the 3DS. lol ~STBE
  5. Master Ball? I'm afraid I have no idea what you're talking about. lol Back in the day, I used my Master Ball on the Version Mascot (or in Generation I's and it's remake's sake, Mewtwo). I don't anymore, however. Now I just keep it as a little gift from a NPC. It just made capturing too easy, IMO. Same with all the other Balls. Now, I just use regular Poké Balls and Premier Balls ONLY. It's quite a challenge, but I succeeded in capturing all the Legendaries in HG/SS (including Roamers) with only Poké Balls and Premier Balls. Same goes for all the Wilds I wanted to catch (excluding the Bug Catching Contest, of course). So basically all the Balls, besides the original Poké Ball, are completely unnecessary. ~STBE
  6. It's Kamehameha. Not whatever you said. lol ~STBE
  7. Can't I love them all equally? lol I honestly just play whatever series I'm in the mood for. ~STBE
  8. While a Wii HD could be interesting, I'm quite happy with my normal Wii with a component cable. And most of you forgot one important detail. Most of Nintendo's games are cartoonish. Why the hell would it matter if the Wii was in HD? It would be the same cartoonish graphics with somewhat smoother renderings. Nothing more. Until all of you have played Super Smash Bros. Brawl on a Wii with a component cable, none of you will understand why a Wii HD is not needed. ~STBE
  9. Well, FE9 and FE10 are alright. The stories aren't as good as FE6 and FE7, IMO, but FE10 was a bitch difficulty-wise. And if you don't play FE9 first, you won't understand parts of FE10's story... All that aside, they are still good games (as expected from Fire Emblem), but don't be expecting something better than FE6 and FE7. It's your call to get Path of Radiance for your brother. I say go ahead if you can't find another copy of FE7. lol ~STBE
  10. Hector/Lyndis works for me. lol Canon or not, I like the fact that FE7's Lords are "reunited" with Roy/Lilina. And really? FE4 and FE5 are harder than Radiant Dawn? lol Btw, good luck with hacking FE1 on the GBA. ~STBE
  11. I'm one of the people that like their character's personality. Not their stats (which is why I usually ignore tiers and whatnot). wraith89, nice list of why Eliwood/Ninian is canon. lol IIRC, in the manga adaption, Eliwood/Ninian is outright stated as canon. And I usually pair Hector with Lyndis so that way when I pair Roy with Lilina, the 3 Lords from FE7 are all "reunited" again (in a sense). BTW... ...Amirite? lol ~STBE EDIT: At the moment, I haven't played FE4 and FE5. I will soon when I get some more free time. They sound... Darker than the other titles. lol And I completely agree on the FE1 VS FE11 thing. I remember "Famicom Marth" had sooo much more personality than "Pretty-boy Marth". "Famicom Marth" was somewhat childish and curious while "Pretty-boy Marth" is serious and rather dull compared to the former. Let's hope FE12 stays true to FE3's personalities and whatnot when it comes stateside. ~STBE
  12. lol Fire Emblems 6 and 7 were great as well. Roy is one of my favorite FE characters. And I love that I got Eliwood to marry Ninian at the end of FE7 because... ...Which entertains me for some reason. Maybe because it's awesome? lol ~STBE
  13. No no. I completely understand. lol Sometimes challenges are a good thing. Can't forget about Ike and the Black Knight either. ~STBE
  14. Which Fire Emblem game do you think is the best? ~STBE
  15. Kingdom Hearts II. The gameplay was just so much smoother than the other titles, making it much more enjoyable. Kingdom Hearts (I) would be next. The story and gameplay is duller than KH2, but still enjoyable. It was also much more difficult than KH2 (Expert Mode VS Proud Mode, anyways). KH: Chain of Memories and KH: Re:Chain of Memories are pretty much the same game, but I would have to say the original GBA version was better because of the more simplistic control scheme. Haven't played KH: 358/2 Days yet. The battle system looks similar to KH1 and KH2, but I'm worried about the control layout, though, since the PS2's controller had more buttons to map (unlike the DS). Like I said at first, Kingdom Hearts II wins as the best KH game in my book. ~STBE
  16. Works perfectly! Thank you! Is there any harmful side effects I should be aware of? ~STBE
  17. Listen. I don't wanna read 50+ pages so... Can someone make a code for the US HeartGold Version that gives me a 105 win streak in the Battle Tower (Single Battle mode)? I tried using the one hit KO code to get through the Battle Tower easily, but my game has frozen in the middle of battle before, making me have to start ALL OVER AGAIN (for the third time, I might add). Anyone willing to make/find/test such a code would be greatly appreciated. ~STBE
  18. Okay. So the 46 is DE, 85 is 18, and 86 is 04, correct? ~STBE
  19. Hello. I just got a new laptop and was wondering which browser I should download. I'm a long time user of IE, but I've heard great things about Fire Fox. Which would you recommend? ~STBE
  20. What would the 85 value be for the Dragon's Den ExtremeSpeed Dratini be? ~STBE
  21. Thanks. So my values would be: 46h: 90 85h: 18 86h: 04 Correct? ~STBE P.S. Off topic, but what are the hometowns for HG and SS?
  22. What would the 85h value be if I bought an Eevee at the Celadon Game Corner in HG/SS? ~STBE
  23. I highly doubt there will be a Crystal remake. Look at FR and LG. They never got a WaterBlue or LightningYellow. I believed everyone meant a third game to go along side Black and White (like how Platinum is to D/P). ~STBE
  24. I like how all of you are complaining about all this crap. It doesn't matter if it's on the DS or DSi or 3DS or if the graphics haven't improved much. We are all going to buy it just because it's Pokémon. Just be happy that we're even getting a new pair of games. ~STBE
