  1. My NDS adapter isn't recognizing my Platinum retail cart at all (game works fine). Any ideas? The firmware version I'm using with it is 3.03. Other hardware I have: DSLite (only for a few more days) ARDSi 1GB microSD I can probably rip the sav using the ARDSi backup function, but in terms of getting it back onto the retail cart...my main console is a 3DS, I could probably just get the 3DS AR, but would like to avoid getting any new hardware right now.
  2. The issue with one of them was a PID problem that was my fault; my Backup Adapter had a (literal) meltdown and I have to get the replacement before I can test various fixes.
  3. I'm using the default Pokeball/max money codes on a retail cart, and booting the game with the codes enabled just gives a white screen/freeze. ARDsi with any other game: works fine, although slightly slow Game alone: works fine ARDsi with Plat, no codes: white screens I reset my AR just in case and reloaded the codes, but the problem persists. Is the issue with the codes or my AR? (seems unusual that it only does this with one game)
  4. Everything checks out with the .pkm file (proper shiny PID and Shiny box checked), but a save file that I insert it into results in a nonshiny. I'm no longer using Pokesav to insert them. I have some free time tomorrow so will go through various steps and see what happens. The Ditto was ripped from an old (hacked) save file, while the Umbreon was created in Pokegen.
  5. This should be the correct link for AppLocale: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=13209 This might also be useful (language packs for Win7 that don't require the DVD): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/languages ...Japanese is only available for the Ultimate or Enterprise editions of Win7 it seems (WTF).
  6. When I used Pokesav to insert the dogs/Celebi into my Black game, I then had to go in and manually edit the names/OT for them to show up (their sprites were in my PC box, but the name/OT was garbage). I'll have to do some more research into what I did to fix the caching issue (that is if I can recreate it in the first place). EDIT: I was also using PMGE, and had forgotten to uncheck the "make backup copy of save file"; I'm pretty sure that's what caused it.
  7. Right now I'm using Pokesav; I do have Pokegen as well though. Normally I use PS just to edit items, but had a brainfart and used it for the pkm as well.
  8. Shiny pokemon generation seems to work for a while. After writing them to a save a couple times (I haven't kept track of how many times a given pkm can be imported to a save file before this happens), they're no longer shiny and I need to 'reset' them. Is this an actual bug or am I doing something wrong? Here are the two I most recently tried to import to SS; they came over as shinies in Black no problem. Shiny Ditto..pkm ShinyUmbreon..pkm
  9. Welcome! (I love your avatar BTW). There's a Pokegen forum (if you haven't found it already).
  10. I was also trying to import the event dogs and event Celebi using Pokesav, and the name and OT showed up as garbage in the game (Fateful Encounter flag was still set, so I would probably be able to fix the names/IDs manually). My Black game was also loading a cached version for awhile; I can't remember exactly what I did to fix it but it involved deleting the .bak file that Pokesav created, then re-ripping the sav.
  11. Not so much a bug as I was able to fix it, but I couldn't have two shiny pokemon in the same PC box (not sure why it happened). Originally, I had put a shiny Ditto as well as a shiny Umbreon in the same box (I think it was box 2). First load of that save, Umbreon was shiny but Ditto wasn't (both had legit shiny PIDs). Check the save file on my computer, re-download and try again. Shiny Ditto/nomal Umbreon. Rinse, repeat. Now both were normal. I put the shiny Umbreon in an empty box and it worked. As I said, not a bug per se but just odd.
  12. Heya moltres! I have aspergers too and used to also restart my games when I got frustrated; I managed to blow away some good saves that way and had to resort to AR codes to restore them. Now I just back up my saves at a certain point (I finally got a NDS Backup Adapter) so I can restore it if I need to. I still use AR every once in awhile though
  13. Not with the new GSID on my game card; the "Wake Up" option doesn't even appear on my old account. The game can't/won't connect to that one. I still have access to the old sync ID, so if there was a way for me to temporarily change it on the card long enough to wake up/retrieve that Pokemon...
  14. Is there a code for Black that lets you encounter/catch Gen 4 and below Pokemon before the battle with N?
  15. So my existing Black game save got corrupted and I had to start anew...and got a new Game Sync ID. The one I had previously registered is now invalid. That account has a Yamask asleep; Support can't reset my GSID until that Pokemon is woken up. Except I can't wake it up with the new GSID. ETA: Solved, sort of. I set up a new GL account, but will continue trying to get into my old one.
  16. I just tried backing up my SS save using ARDSi; after naming the save file it errored out. I'll post the error when I can get it to recognize the game card again.
  17. It only shows up in Device Manager as "unknown device". I've signed the 64-bit drivers using the override program and am running Windows in Test Mode, each file had an additional radio button under Properties that said "This file has come from another computer and might have been blocked to protect your computer [thank you M$ for deciding what I want to install ]. Unblock Y/N" (Y). I thought that would fix it, but no go. I use Comodo antivirus and it's been disabled from the start. ETA: Go figure, it installed perfectly on my Vista laptop (interestingly, my antivirus was enabled throughout and it never made a peep)...I guess I have to keep that OS around just to use the adapter at least until I figure this one out.
  18. Yup, I'm using the 64-bit drivers and have signed the files using the driver signature override program. The driver folder is unzipped on my desktop. Where it fails is having to force Windows to see the drivers through Device Manager (it doesn't even detect the adapter as a USB device, everything else plugged into the port functions fine and the adapter is receiving power); it's telling me that the drivers don't exist in the folder.
  19. It is in test mode now and I thought I signed the correct files, but I'll check again (Windows is telling me that none of the files in the directory are setup files).
  20. My main computer is a 64-bit AMD rig with Win7 Home Premium 64-bit, if that helps. The software will launch, but all the buttons are grayed out and the computer doesn't seem to be detecting the adapter itself (it's not finding the setup files I point Windows to either). I've tried what EMS suggests including the driver signature override program and nothing seems to work.
  21. The file I'm sending is the *.pkm file. EDIT: Now I have the Celebi for some odd reason... ETA again: I don't know what I did, but it worked (SMR2010 Jirachi went through while GAMESTP didn't?). [GAMESTP] Pichu..pkm [GAMESTP] Celebi..pkm [GAMESTP] Jirachi..pkm
  22. So I'm trying to send the event Jirachi, Celebi, and Pichu to my US copy of SoulSilver (I had them, a friend started a new game and blew my save away). I'm using the .pkm files from pkmndb.com (I have the .pgt and .pcd files from here but for some reason I'm unable to open them and export ARDSi codes using pokesav). IR-GTS is set up and working. I've received pokes from my game fine, but when I go to send them, the program errors out with "filename must end in .pkm or .3gpkm"...they are .pkm files. Anyone have any idea what's going on?
  23. It won't run from a compressed folder, did you fully unzip the program into a new folder?
  24. I recently tried an AR code for the Rally pokewalker course. It worked, but now that deliveryman is stuck and I can't get any other codes to work (the only code that I have active now is to get the event Jirachi/Pichu/Arceus, the deliveryman keeps trying to give me the Rally map). Is there any way to clear it without restarting my game? I have a NDS Backup Adapter arriving soon (I hope) so if there's a way via that I can do it. Although I'd really like to know where the glitch in the code was... ETA: Solved. After claiming the course I had to delete the code from my ARDSi, and for some reason that cleared it.
