    I always "safely remove hardware" with everything I plug into the computer. Besides, the files I added are still there when I connect the card back to the computer again. EDIT: Could someone just post all the files I need to run the acekard here, so I can be sure I have everything I need?

    Okay, I downloaded the link you gave me, but there was no __aio folder, just the AKAIO.1.5.rar file. I went to an older version (AKAIO 1.4.1) and downloaded that. It was a folder, and I found the __aio folder there. Now that I have the ___aio folder and the akmenu4.nds on my sd card, I still get the error message "System File is Missing."

    Okay, that works! Thanks! I have one more question now, though. Whenever I drag my Darkrai pkm onto the Legality Checker, it says "Type: Rare GBA (A-B-D-F)" Is this correct? Darkrai should not be "GBA", should it? EDIT: Also, when I drag my registeel pkm onto the Legality Checker, it says "Type: Unknown GBA type." Is there something wrong with the registeel for the type to be "unknown" ? Shiny Darkrai.pkm Shiny Registeel.pkm

    In order to check the legality of a pokemon you received via trading, you need to extract the game's sav file to the computer. You can't extract the sav file from the game with just the AR. You need a flash cart to extract the sav. I don't know much about flash carts. I do have an acekard 2i, but I'm having trouble and I'm still waiting for help on that.

    Hmmm, I though something was wrong. I thought maybe I was just being impatient. I dragged a pkm onto the legality checker, and left it for nearly 30 mins, and finally shut it down because nothing was happening. Do you have any idea what I could be doing wrong? Is there a key I need to type to start the process, or something like that? Thanks for the reply!

    Hi there, I have a couple questions about the legality checker. Firstly, how long does it usually take to check the pkms? Is there a key I need to type to start the process? Secondly, if my pkm passes the legality checker, does that mean it is a perfectly legal pokemon that is usable in competitive battling, like PBR or wifi? Thanks for your time! I'm really excited to learn all of this.

    I don't know what it means; I was hoping you could tell me. ^^' The Micro SD card should have everything it needs. I can't imagine that any of the files got corrupted, but it's a possibility, I guess. What else am I missing? EDIT: Arrgh... I can't think of anything else to do. I've downloaded both the official and unofficial firmware versions, and still nothing. What is this "system file" that I'm missing!?! Maybe it isn't working because I have multiple firmwares on the same micro sd card?

    Hmmm, I have regular Action Replay; I've never seen the ARDSi. I don't know how different the two are. Have you opened up the xml in notepad to make sure everything is in order?

    Hi there, I've been trying to work with my acekard recently, but I'm having a bit of trouble. When I start the system up, I get an error message that reads "System File not found." Any idea what the problem is? What am I doing wrong? I've never gotten this message before. Also, I've been able to extract the save file from my diamond game, but I'm not sure how to get the edited save file back onto the game. Help with that would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks!

    <p><p><p><p><p>What do I do from here? If I can't have both the game and the acekard in my dsi at once, then how do I access the ROM? How do I access any of the features of the acekard?</p></p></p></p></p>

    <p><p><p><p><p>I'm so close to successfully extracting the ROM, but I just don't know where to go from here. If you could just point me in the right direction, and give me the first steps I need to take, then I'd greatly appreciate it.</p></p></p></p></p>

    <p><p><p><p><p>Maybe I could just learn how to extract a game's Save file first, and then I can learn how to extract the ROM after that? </p></p></p></p></p>

    Well, I'd really rather not break any laws... I just want help using my acekard 2i to extract the ROM of my diamond game. I need to know what an "ini" file is. I need to know what an "FTP server" is. I just need instrucions for the acekard since it didn't come witth any. I'm kinda just learning as I go. ~Emeraldragon I need to know exactly what I can do with this acekard, Right now, all I want to do is extract the save file from my diamond so I can use it with pokesav. Once I learn how to do that, then learning the rest of the features should come with time and experimenting. If anyone can outline exactly what I have to do to extract my diamond's save file, that would be great. Once I've done that successfully, I'll try to extract the ROM for PPRE. I'll probably need help with that, but let's just stick with the SAV files for now. Is there anyone out there who can detail exactly what I need to do to extract the SAV file from my game? After it's extracted an on the MicroSD card, I can handle it. I need help getting the SAV from the game onto the MicroSD card. Any help is greatly appreciated. ~Emeraldragon Anyone? Can anyone help me out? I'm not in a HUGE hurry, but I would like to get started so I can get good and knowledgable about this...

    What if I don't mind dealing with the wifi? Is the wifi just a big, long, pain in the you-know-where? If I HAVE to buy something else then I will, as long as it costs under 5-10 USD.

    Okay, that link helps alot. I have one more problem, though. I downloaded both the wifi version and the 3-in-1 version. Do you need to buy some other device to use the 3-in-1 version? I'd rather not have to buy any more stuff if I can avoid it, as I don't have much money and I don't have a "steady" flow of income... :wink::redface: When I try to use the wifi version, it simply says that it is connecting to find FTP server. After a few seconds, it reads the following error message: "Can't connect with the FTP server. Confirm the setting of the ini file." What do I do now? What's an "ini" file? What's the "FTP" server? Thanks for your help; I'm slowing learning everything I need for ROM hacking! ~Emeraldragon

    Okay, I've downloaded PPRE. I have pokesav. I also have something called dslazy. I've recently bought and received the Acekard 2i, along with a Micro SDHC card and a MicroSD USB port. What do I do now? I'm very new to all of this, so please be patient with me. Let's start with extracting the save file of my game, say pokemon diamond. Where does it come from? How do I access it? What do I need to download onto my SD card? Where does the ROM come from? How do I access that? If you could give me a quick step-by-step guide on how to get a newbie started with all of this, that'd be great. Thanks in advance for any help you give me!     Thanks so much for your reply! SCV also recommended Acekard 2. I do have a DSi, but I have a few problems: While reading reveiws for the Acekard 2i, I found that nintendo regularly updates the DSi firmware, and a likely update will be a block for devices such as the Acekard 2i. Will I need to worry about this becoming useless in the near future? I also have regular DS lites that I can use. If the Acekard 2i becomes blocked on the DSi, will I still be able to use it with the DS lite? I also read about another flash cart, Supercard DSonei. Apparently, it has an updateable core, meaning it can overcome any blocks nintendo may attempt to enact. Would this be a better option for me? I do want something that will simply allow me to get save files and ROM files onto my computer. I don't need anything expensive and fancy. Thanks for your time, I really appreciate it! ~Emeraldragon

    Hmmm, I've never reallly thought about this... If I sat down and thought about it, I really could think of a few that I hate. Off the top of my head, I'd say female wobbuffet. Seriously, wobbuffet is hideous when it wears lipstick. Ugh... I'll think about it some more...

    I've looked for something like that. I use AR for pokesav, but I really have been wanting to get the flash cart. The problem is, I don't know where to find one. I've looked in Best Buy, and GameStop, but neither have it. Am I looking in the wrong places? Thanks a ton for your help, I really do appreciate it! EDIT: Oh, and which flash cart would you reccommend? Which is the best? I need one that will let me dump the ROM onto my computer, right? Is that all I need it to do? I don't have much money, so one that costs under $100-$50 would be great.

    Where does the ROM come from, though? How do I access the ROM? Do I have to hook the game up to my computer?
