This event is posted as an English event. After injecting in to an English Black save and obtaining it with the deliveryman, PkHeX report it as illegal.

I'm under the impression it's because it's flagged as Japanese, yet it's name is in English.

    image.png

Both are the exact same Mewtwo, except one has it's name in English, and other in Japanese.
(Obviously, the Legal one is the Japanese one; Both were flagged received as JPN btw)

Additionally, I just created another Mewtwo, with it's Nickname in English, and also flagged as received in English.
    It appears legal.

TLDR; the error you're entering is because you mismatched the language byte and nickname. Working as intended.

Thank you for the Update on the website!

One thing I would Like to add is have you thought about making a quick folder or a spot to access all events that has been collected and organized? Sometimes it is hard to find what events we are looking for.  This is just a though an idea.

    1. The folder idea, containing all the events, exists on our events gallery GitHub: https://github.com/projectpokemon/EventsGallery

    2. We have a search option on site, if you wanna search a particular species. Our gallery allows for more detailed views.

  3. This line is on the official site:
" ※ Pokemon information brought to "GO Park" changes from when it was in "Pokemon GO". "

Logically, that sentences makes sense, since it's CP changes,
but it could apply to moves too.

    link: https://www.pokemon.co.jp/ex/pika_vee/pokemongo/181109_01.html

Don't transfer any Legacy Moves Pokemon when you obtain the game.
(BTW, I'm supposed to do the transfers, cause I'm uploading a mega save with all the mons in GO Park)

In any case, I'm gonna test it with a regular mon, to see what moves are obtained.

  4. Note: My time is all based on AEDT, undergoing DST at time of writing.

07-Nov-2018 04:29am - Kirzi noticed Pikachu events were uploaded onto the server. [apparently they were uploaded on the 6th]
07-Nov-2018 04:48am - I noticed they weren't on the server (they were removed)
08-Nov-2018 03:25pm - Kirzi noticed that the bulk of events went back onto the server.
08-Nov-2018 04:53pm - Kirzi tweeted about noticing that some French Cards were in English.
08-Nov-2018 07:15pm - Having a conversation with Sabresite and Rochi, and Sabresite mentioned that Ultra Sun Kalos, Unova, Alola FRE cards were in ENG
09-Nov-2018 09:31pm - Pokemon official HK Facebook made a post announcing the distribution.
09-Nov-2018 09:32pm - Pokemon official TW Facebook made a post announcing the distribution.
09-Nov-2018 10:32pm - Rochi made a news post and tweeted at us (that's how I learnt the event was live)
09-Nov-2018 11:38pm - I noticed the FRE error cards were still online, and I subsequently did the physical redemption to prove it.
10-Nov-2018 02:40am - Joe tweeted that the pokemon.com/us reported on the common codes for the event.

At this point (10-Nov-2018 4:28am) the cards have not been fixed. They've been on the server for over 12 hours at this point.
From the earliest point that I know of that the distribution been running (Pokemon HK post), it's been slightly under 8 hours.

    To be specific:
US region 3DS, Ultra Sun only, playing on French Language: Users receives the ENG card instead.

edit: In case the facebook post goes missing. (I also dumped the link into WaybackMachine)

    Spoiler

  5. Hoenn, SInnoh, Unova, Kalos and Alola caps were distributed to celebrate the upcoming Let's Go Pikachu release.
This event is for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon only.

In my next post, I'll detail the timeline for this event (cause I want to document the screw-up)

The only thing I tried clicking on is going to the Pokedex tab, going to modify, and clicking caught all.

    POKEMON PL.0.sav

Try this save. I copied my (bare) Pokedex into your save, and it works just fine on my PKHeX.
    POKEMON PL.0.sav
(then again, I didn't have a problem when I opened your save, so who knows)

What version of PKHeX are you using?

    An unhandled exception has occurred.
You can continue running PKHeX, but please report this error.
And when I tried scrolling through it in game, it freezes when I reach Chansey. Not sure what to do. I'm using Platinum version for this.

did you use cheat codes or something, that ended up messing with what you have.
    Also, upload the save file.

  8. Hey @Sans before I begin addressing any issue, I'll say for future reference, upload the images straight to here
(as opposed to using imgur). also, it'll probably be better to just upload the files. This way, we can see what was or wasn't missed.

it says that the ORAS Contest Master Ribbons are missing even though they are present on the Pokemon's description

I'm wondering if it was trying to match to gen 3 ribbons instead or something.
Also, what is the affection level of your Pokemon?

I think the other stuff you pointed out are interesting, and needs to be reviewed by @Kaphotics

  9. Previously, the devs had SM demo play around with, to know whether the saves were further encrypted (beyond using 3DS in-house encryption technology).

However, in this scenario, there is no public demo to work on. As much as other Switch saves would be useful for analysis, we won’t know if GameFreak will pull another memecrypt (lol), so it’s a waiting game for everyone.

Such programs aren’t magic, wait patiently.

while I expect it to work soon after release, that just my guess, and not the dev’s word.

    lets all wait, shall we?

    182 DPPtHGSS - Oblivia Deoxys (Attack) (ENG).wc4

    and

    053 HGSS - Anniversary Mew (ENG).wc4

Are those two mystery gifts (wonder-cards) from GitHub legal for the European English cart version of HeartGold?

Sometimes there are different versions for the UK cart. example: 009 DP - Movie Darkrai (UK) (ENG).wc4 and 010 DP - Movie Darkrai (ENG).wc4

    thanks in advance

    053 HGSS - Anniversary Mew (ENG).wc4

    182 DPPtHGSS - Oblivia Deoxys (Attack) (ENG).wc4

    They’re legal.

    Pretty sure that:
Anniversay Mew was extracted from ongoing WiFi gift (at the time) that didn’t have such a difference,
And the Deoxys was distributed by a Ranger game, so once again no such difference.

In any case, the reason you listed for the differences in those 2 wonder cards would be “region”, but that’s not exactly it; the answer is “release dates”.

Those Darkrai have different Trainer ID, because event staff typically like to the make Trainer IDs coincide with the beginning of the event. Thus they are differences because those regions have different release dates (maybe movie licensing gotten the movie at different time for different countries?)

In any case, linking it back to your question: that Mew was released worldwide (except Japan and Korea), so I doubt think such an issue exist for the English one.

as for Deoxys, it’s from a Ranger cart, so it’s also technically “released Worldwide except J/K”, so no such issue too.

Any RSE Hall of Fame editors?

    Don't think so.
On bulbapedia, the Hall of Fame records were stored on 0x01C000, and it's not the standard pkm size format:
    image.png

Following that information, IF you have Hex editing knowledge, could probably just edit it from there,
then use PKHeX to fix the checksums

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then you probably shouldn't attempt it.
(so just take it as "No")
