  1. Well this would be me and my band, I'm on the right.
  2. I've been looking around for you dude and I can't find anything that would help with adding to the pokedex, just the aforementioned removal of pokemon already present in the the dex. I'm also not sure about how you're going to do it in any case as I think I've read that there is an assigned amount of memory to each aspect (the maps and 'dex) so it might be difficult to get passed that. However don't give up, wait for someone more informed to post or go see if there's any tutorials lying around deep within the pokecommunity forum ... Or try in the IRC. Sorry I couldn't be more help .
  3. Ok then this sounds like a cool story, but is this for GBA or DS, and are you making it alone. I mean I can't help but if you're looking for people to help you might want to advertise that too . Also you mention 5 regions ... how are you doing that lol? and does that go to say there will be forty gyms ?

  5. You may need this - http://gba.mywebcommunity.org/ And follow this tutorial too - - make sure to read the description.I hope that helps.

  7. Haha probably a good idea. I'm heading off now though so you can help me with it tomorrow if you're online... Too many scary things in OU for my liking
  8. Introoo Yet Another Revamp Firstly thank you to shogun for pointing me in the right direction with some pokes and suggesting things ... really helped If any of you know me you'll know that I actually almost despise OU... however I was getting a bit bored of seeing the same thing in UU over and over again so thought I'd try OU out. And well... I'm sad to say that I'm actually quite enjoying it haha. I threw almost all of my prejudice away in making this team so there are a fair few purely standard sets on fairly standard pokemon, but I hope I didn't go too generic. The aim of this team is to hit hard when need be whilst being able go on the defensive when it starts to kick off . I've also tried to add some synergy too... but I suck at that so there might be some holes... but hell if it was perfect I wouldn't be here asking for help . Anyway enough digression, here's the team - in small form first of course . [iCON]461[/iCON] [iCON]130[/iCON] [iCON]135[/iCON] [iCON]392[/iCON] [iCON]241[/iCON] [iCON]242[/iCON] Lead [HGSSSPRITE]461[/HGSSSPRITE] Occam (Weavile) (M) @ Focus Sash Ability: Pressure EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Fake Out - Counter - Taunt - Ice Shard The strategy is the same as last time if you saw this thread before the revamp. Fake out for some free damage, Taunt to stop entry hazards, and counter to remove the threat - so long as it is physically based. I have found that aerodactyl is a pain ... what with all its speed so it usually falls to a fake out followed by two ice shards (no damage to me done), then the next pokemon (which is usually physical due to the ice typing) falls to counter instead. Win win --- Physical Sweeper [HGSSSPRITE]130[/HGSSSPRITE] Xuanlong (Gyarados) (M) @ Wacan Berry Ability: Intimidate EVs: 252 Atk/50 Def/208 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Dragon Dance - Waterfall - Earthquake - Ice Fang Not much to say about gyarados, other than he's very good . The Ev's given are merely for bulk. There was 12 in HP so that life orb damage left me on 1 HP after 10 attacks. however I've opted for a wacan berry (credit to Mewtwo Ex for suggesting it ) as I was having starmie troubles and thunderbiolt troubles in general. This now means that I can Point blank Ddance in the face of an unboosted electric attack should the time warrant for it, and OHKO back earthquake. Ice fang over stone edge so latias isn't as problematic. --- Special Sweeper [HGSSSPRITE]135[/HGSSSPRITE] Blackwater (Jolteon) (M) @ Expert Belt Ability: Volt Absorb EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Thunderbolt - Hidden Power [ice] - Shadow Ball - Charge Beam Jolteon is the second part of my offencive trio. Jolteon provides a good way of getting out of thunderbolts dodge (should the incoming thunderbolt be boosted against gyarados) and making it somewhat advantageous due to volt absorb. In other words great synergy . The idea is simple here, switch into an electric attack or something that will have to switch out, or a weakened special poke (as Jolteon has quite cool special defence), revenge/kill it or use charge beam, get the plus one and go to town. Some teams aren't prepared for a jolteon so I can occasionally get 2 - 4 guys down before he falls (expecially if blissey has been eliminated). Hidden power ice is the HP of choice as there's a lot of gliscor floating about (pun not intended, but on reflection kept anyway) and it's always nice to see a salamence fall in one hit + swampert usually frequent as leads and get killed by weavile. --- Mixed Sweeper [HGSSSPRITE]392[/HGSSSPRITE] Zhu-Rong (Infernape) (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Blaze EVs: 64 Atk/252 Spd/192 SAtk Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef) - Close Combat - Nasty Plot - Fire Blast - Grass Knot And here's Infernape, completing my offencive trio. Was never a fan of Infernape but frankly dragonite wasn't doing me any favours and I hate salamence. In any case I now really do like infernape, he does exactly what I wanted dragonite to do and does it better . The idea is again to switch in to something that doesnt like him, and use nasty plot, when blissey comes in, I punch it in the face... and then set about kicking everything holy out of everything else with boosted fire blasts. Grass knot is for bulky waters that over wise wall me . --- For every Salamence, Scizor and Lucario that ripped through your best team [HGSSSPRITE]241[/HGSSSPRITE] Fat Man (Miltank) (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Scrappy EVs: 252 HP/136 Def/120 SDef Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Curse - Heal Bell - Milk Drink - Body Slam Don't scoff at Fat Man... That scoffing will get you swept very quickly... well slowly but in a timely manner . Believe it or not Miltank is the best physical wall I've ever had the pleasure of having on my team. The idea is to switch into scizors bullet punch or super power, and then use milk drink until his attack is at a manageable level, then curse alot, drink some milk and sweep with +6 Attack and + 6 Defence. Though I can't actually switch into salamence, there's not a lot he can do when I'm at 100% either. Gengar does provide some problems as he can get the OHKO on me at times, but if not he follows the same trend as all his other high powered brethren. --- Special Wall [HGSSSPRITE]242[/HGSSSPRITE] Wild Bill (Blissey) (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Natural Cure EVs: 24 HP/252 Def/232 SDef Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk) - Aromatherapy - Seismic Toss - Softboiled - Toxic Blissey is blissey ... she does what she does . She walls special hits and does it well . --- Rate as you see fit, hopefully this team is better than the last one. Thanks for reading . I also think I have a slight gengar proble so if there's any plausible way to help me out in that area then please do so. Anyone that gets the theme behind the nickname gets ... a cyber Cookier?
  9. That's understandable I kind of hate using standard teams too, but it's always best to play off of your pokemon of choice's strengths rather than weakness. If you want ramparados I'd suggest not making it a trickroom variant, but instead slap on a choice scarf and give it, head smash - earthquake - pirsuit - zen headbutt. Replace gallades thunderbolt for thunderpunch. To play off of his stronger attack. You'll have to use someone else instead of garchomp I suggest either dragonite or salamence, as they can both play mix sets and you seem to favour those - plus neither of those are band from standard play.
  10. Yeah I suppose that makes more sense, it's just really cool if it works properly (for instance pory/blissey/_Other normal/dark type_ switch ins expecting the shadow sneak or other ghost type attack). But your choice will find more use for the more prevalent heatran and weavile.
  11. Electivire is really cool with good prediction due to its ability. However in looking at your team his coverage and place on your team really isn't all that great, as there are many pokes with exactly the same coverage as him (for instance starmie running boltbeam, swampert running earthquake etc) . Though I fully expect there to be pokemon that share certain moves, it's kind of odd when most of your team will be doing all of the jobs that he will be meant to be doing. So, I think you should keep it physical as you have a nice mixture of special attackers as is. I think dusknoir, lucario or heracross could all be awesome choices. Dusknoir would make good to stop swamperts rocks being spun away, while at the same time covering blissey's fighting weakness. Lucario would provide you a nice grass resist for swampert and starmie, as would heracross; and they will all provide solid attacking options and keep the fighting coverage that electivire provided. Thogh of course you gain another fire weak pokemon if you chose either lucario or heracross [sPRITE]477[/sPRITE] Dusknoir (M) @ Choice Band Ability: Pressure EVs: 252HP/ 252 ATK/ 4 Def Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Focus Punch - Shadow Sneak/sucker punch - Trick - Fire Punch/earthquake This set would be cool as not many people would expect a choice band variant, so you get the surprise factor. Focus punch is for when you switch into someone who will be forced to switch out, getting a hefty hit on the incoming poke. Shadow Sneak and sucker punch are to make up for his poor speed, possibly getting a revenge KO on a weakened foe, you either go for more power and less reliability or less power and more reliability. Trick will cripple spinners and utility pokes alike and fire punch is for weavile who threatens gliscor while earthquake is there for the heatran that threatens shaymin. [sPRITE]448[/sPRITE] Lucario (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Inner Focus EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Extremespeed - Close Combat - Crunch This is a standard lucario set, not really as much of a team player as dusknoir but packs one hell of a punch after a few swords dances. Extremespeed is again for his lacking speed and gives him a good chance to maybe get a chance for a revenge kill, close combat gets stab and crunch forms perfect coverage with it. It can also OHKO a predicted gengar. (for instance switch into a blissey and use crunch instead for teh incoming rotom/gengar used to block close combat) [sPRITE]214[/sPRITE] Heracross (M) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Guts EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Megahorn - Night Slash - Close Combat - Stone Edge Heracross is much the same as lucario instead hitting grass types and dragons alike. You could also employ the same technique as with lucario and predict a ghost and get a possible OHKO with nightslash's high crit' rate. Anyway that's just my thoughts, do with them what you will. Sorry if it's a bit long lol. EDIT: Just saw that you're thinking about going for skarmory, if so, definitely go with dusknoir.
  12. Hey at the moment there is just that form of pokesav. What you have to do is tinker with the hex values running down the right hand side and set the location to far away place. I'll just go and grab a guide for you to read through, back in a sec! http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?218-~Guide-to-44h-45h-46h-47h-and-85h-Values~ http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?5532-List-of-46h-and-47h-values-of-HG-SS-locations Both useful. Sorry Dahon I didn't realise that .. may as well reiterate it as I've got nothing better to do lol.
  13. Hey, Welcome to the site hope you enjoy it here. Just saw your thread, I'm no good at all that editing business - tried it once nearly destroyed my computer so never again . Anyway, good luck
  14. been busy at work for the past couple hours though haven't advanced very far at all lol. Got my next badge so happy days. Just caught Pinsir that I said I would ... Though I came second in the contest which I have to say I'm majorly pissed at . Grown him 2 levels in the past 30 - 45 mins ... kinda slow but I'm looking to bulk my 'dex up. (caught 33 so far )... so he's grown levels merely because of the experience he's grown when he accidently kills the poke' he's trying to weaken. Misdreavus - 25 Quilava - 24 Noctowl - 25 Pinsir - 15 Paras - 7 Probably gunna go en route to mahogany now and get my train on over there - must get a surfer, probably get the Bibarel now then too. Ohhh then I can get the moon stone from Tojo(sp?) falls maybe get me a Nidoking. There is still a moon stone in there isn't there? Goddd got a lot of ideas in my head now Oh Joy ...it's 1:20 Am, might just go bed actually lol.
  15. Ahhh XiON, cool idea I only thought of using that to get me my Misdreavus (who by the way looks awesome following me ). Thanks man.
  16. Ok, so far I have three badges and I'm just about to go get me a Sudowoodo . Been spending loads of time on training, not so much EV training as in game I don't see much of a need and it's just effort lol... no pun intended there. I have a team of three (well four) so far (I like to get a new pokemon before every gym and whoop the gym with my new pokemon ). Quilava (22) - Quick attack - Smokescreen - Flame wheel - Ember Misdreavus (bred and sent via my little brothers pearl version - 23) - Shadow Ball - Destiny Bond - Psybeam - Confuse Ray Noctowl (22) - Hypnosis - Peck - Confusion - reflect and a paras to cut and smash things for me The plan was to kill whitney with Noctowl... Alas that wasn't to be so Misdreavus had to finish the job. Contemplating on whether or not I should have Sudowoodo as part of the team or not. Also thinking of getting me a Pinsir too seeing as I'm in the area. Just wondering what you guys do HM slave wise. I tend to train my team while I'm travelling and constantly revolve between having one in the box 5 in team and 1 HM slave in team. Is there a better method of doing this? It's not a problem atm as I don't have the full 6 in team yet.
  17. You can't get hidden power grass with special attack at 31 I'm afraid. Here's a good guide to follow, and you'll understand why you can't get a special attack 31 + hidden power grass. http://www.serebii.net/games/hidden-power.shtml Best you can do is - HP - 31 Atk - 30 Def - 31 SpAtk - 30 SpDef - 31 Speed - 31
  18. Edits in: Bold Chimchar (M) Lvl: 100 Nature: Timid (+Speed, - Attack Item: Focus Sash - I have the ability to atleast withstand one round without getting KO'ed. IVs: 31 EV'd: 6 HP / 252 Sp.Attack / 252 Speed Moveset: Flamethrower/Fire Blast Vacuumwave Hidden Power Electric Nasty Plot As Chimchar has nasty plot you can sacrifice the +nature and instead take the +speed nature so you can get the jump on goldeen, remoraid and Carvana (dunno if they are used much or not but they are both strong counters who otherwise out speed you), similarly hidden power electric after a nasty plot or so should OHKO the aforementioned Pokes. So again you sacrifice the initial base power for so much more when factoring in the nasty plot boosts . You could also run fire blast, if a max HP chinchou switches into a +2 fire blast (52.5% - 62.1%) and then takes a +2 Vaccum wave (23.7% - 28%) after SR damage (12.5%) there's the possibility that you can Ko it before you take any damage, where as you lose that with flamethrower. And it's the same story for a max HP staryu, though you don't need SR damage for staryu. Staryu also outspeeds you, but again, if it switches into a boosted fire blast and then vaccum wave it won't have a chance to damage you.
  19. Hey, Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but it seemed apt, feel free to move it into the correct place if I have gotten it wrong . I've always wondered how to go about converting a (J) action replay code into a (U) code... Simply because I hate Cut and Strength and as so wanted to convert the (J) walk through walls code to (U). Alas I have no idea how to do this... is it even possible? Thanks anyway P.s I been searching everywhere to no avail so as a last resort I made this thread.
  20. Hehe, Caught mine the same way, he was on like 60% hp so I was happy Hardest for me to catch was probably Scyther in RGBY safari zone. Or chansey ... Pain in the ass they were.
  21. Bright Bulbs & Sharp Tools - Fair to Midland ♫ Lord, heaven knows I got one short damn fuse, so come sit down a spell while I light up the room ♫
  22. Ok I don't play OU all that much so I can only really point out obvious things, if you want technical in depth bamf ideas you'll have to wait But straight away I know I don't like the look of frenzy plant on Venusaur. This is for two reasons. A) If skarmory or forretress is switched in, or any other pokemon that resists it switches into it, you have given that pokemon a turn to set up when whilst you charge - Similalry, unlike porygonZ, it doesn't have the pure ruthless power of STAB adapt base 130Spatk hyper beam lol. B) You already have a hyper beam, and even that on is a bit risky, don't go giving the opposition two turns to set up. Also I don't think Togekiss will be out-speeding many things with no speed EV investment, can't be assed to do an EV spread atm - might do later. But without any speed you won't be flinching many people. So for Venusaur I recommend you slap on Leaf storm and throw all Atk EV's into SpAtk. This way you have more power than frenzy plant and you don't lose a turn. However if you don't like the stat drop, you could keep the atk EV's and throw on Powerwhip or Earthquake, Earthquake on those that resists your stab giga drain. Mind you Skarmory will always wall you, so make sure you eliminate Skarm first. (or you could remedy this by throwing on HP fire with all in SpAtk - but then you'll have Blissey troubles so it's about lesser of the two evils really) Edit: Just saw your Articuno - you won't be able to use it as OHKO moves are banned from competitive play.
  23. Thanks for the rate Yeah it's a good rate you touched all bases . Taunters and similar trickers are usually out-sped by a scarfed hypnosis, and if it doesn't hit (dependant on the lead) I got something that can take him out, also frosslass hates scarfed psychics, psychic on the taunt and then out-speed it for the kill. And, because they don't see the trick first turn I can send it out against something like milotic (who doesn't mind the sleep most times) and scarf it, rendering it almost redundant. But yes, I might change mean look, after psychological value it literally does nothing. I was thinking of maybe going for thunder wave over mean look - I can then screw three pokemon in rapid succession. Similarly, for the times when ambipom comes out or a hypnosis misses, memento or healing wish could come in super handy late game. But the usual switch after Gardevoir is usually weezing or celfable, either way I'm going to be getting a Dance in and then the softboil on the switch. I really have been feeling that grass weakness as of late, It usually takes an ice beam and a couple earth powers before the grass goes away .. and by then I've lost two pokes so I'm definitely going to try out Flareon. The question is though ... Do I wanna toxic stall, or do I wanna support the team. I guess I'll just try it all out, haha. Haze on the weezing is definitely needed as I have a bit of a blaziken problem, and if I can get in on the first go, haze as he agilities I'm usually fine. Similarly bulk up wrath doesnt enjoy his sub being broken then getting hazed for his troubles. Tbh I really want explosion on weezing ... but the moves just aren't there, and for what he does do, he does it well. I have been contemplating Politoed for a bit now, but never had the time to try it out. I think bounce could really come in handy for more paralysis, and at the loss of physical defence I would gain a loss of flying and psychic weakness. I have tried out a belly drum Azumarill, but it just lacks in speed, I know aqua jet covers that, but up against venasaur, weezing, lanturn, raikou - the many killers in UU the frailness just doesnt cut it, especially as I'll be forced to switch or be OHKO by a leafstorm . Thanks for the rate and suggestions *Edit Though I don't think Politoed was a serious rec', your mentioning of it made me try it, and it is amazing 2HKO from bounce on rhyperior, and the fast bounce means that grass types can't break my sub .
  24. To display what's capable of this team.
