Destati Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Quick question. I was curious if the PID/IV algorithm mumbo jumbo applies to Pokemon who have been hatched. Every time I run them through the legality checker it just says "Hatched" so I assume everything's fine when I use the Generate button instead.
Zowayix Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 The algorithm "mumbo jumbo" does not apply to hatched pokemon, so everything is fine when using Generate. Hatched pokemon do not have any relationship between PID and IVs.
Delta Blast Burn Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 (edited) Well Actually (Theoretically)At Least 1 IV Must Match But WTF lol Edited April 17, 2009 by Delta Blast Burn
Poryhack Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Well Actually At Least 1 Must MatchBut WTF lol What is this supposed to mean...? Zowayix is right, don't make false claims or I'll infract you.
Destati Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 I don't even know what he's saying either.
Delta Blast Burn Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I Read It Somewhere In The Old Forum I Think It Was Sabresite Who Said It, But If I'm Wrong I Sincerely Apologize. :(:(
Destati Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 Well You're Wrong And You Should Get Your Facts Straight. You Should Also Stop Talking Like This Its Really Irritating
Destati Posted April 17, 2009 Author Posted April 17, 2009 Using capital letters at the start of every word. Thats not how people normally write
Torte de Lini Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Let's not get picky how someone writes. If it bothers you that much, ignore his posts or go elsewhere. The rules do not specify a certain manner of typing (it's expected that it is legible however, lulz). Let me attach a question, is the PID/IV used for Pal Park pokemon too?
Sabresite Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Lets clarify everyone. PID is generated randomly. IVs are generated randomly and independent of the PID. Up to 3 IVs (randomly) are transferred from one of the parents (either one) to the baby.
Jiggy-Ninja Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 What he said was that al least one IV must match one of the parent's IVs, but since there is no possible way to verify what a Pokemon's parents were, it's not relevant.
KazoWAR Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 since when an egg is made it already has its PID but no ivs, and every time it hatches it has total random Ivs, that mean it dosent need at least one.
