XY- Unused Static Abomasnow and Scatterbug Encounter

Hi,

so according to TCRF there are 2 unused Static Encounter in XY: a Scatterbug and a Abomasnow.

 

Speaking about a way to get it with @BlackShark I thaught we can use the same method as I did for GS Unused Venomoth slot.

But for that we need first to know where those 2 unused encounters are located.

 

What to do?

Modify a Static Encounter in XY with PK3DS and check the differences with an HexEditor.

Look around if there is the Scatterbug and Abomasnow slot and then swap them with Mewtwo for example.

 

Any volunteer?

I tried to do this but with my Gateway O3DS I failed using PK3DS.

 

I'll do some researches too in order to know more about those 2 Pokemon.

Oh I totally forgot that one. If I'm correct it was uploaded yet bu @BlackShark.

Will swap Mewtwo and Abomasnow slot first hoping it'll work.

I'm not sure if it's the case, but looks like a possible preset first encounter for Santalune Forest. That, or it might have been meant to appear at Route 2 before being changed for the Pidgey.

Do you guys remember your first random encounter in Santalune Forest? I have yet to properly play XY, so I have nothing to say about it.

That's a thing?

is that the only thing that will appear, before the catching tutorial?

Wow. I learn new things every day. So that Pidgeot I have been using on my first playthrough was exactly that, a fixed encounter. I did notice that i always encountered a Pidgey first. Cool info mate!

(I just want to show off. She is from Route 2, Level 3 with Keen Eyes. Modest natured unfortunately, personality is "hates to lose" and I had to resort to Air Slash and Return throughout the game. Return was surprisingly decently strong, even off a - Atk nature with base 80, STAB really hurts. Before I got the VS Seeker, some Japanese people challenged me through the PSS while I was still gathering badges. I got surprised with a Mega Mawile lead, but this Pidgeot got the guy to surrender because of Featherdance + Roost + Air Slash flinch spam. Level 62 Air Slash sucks, and so does Level 38 Wing Attack, but whatever. I wish I had the VS Recorder then. All those fun times... sigh. 

I long suspected there would be a special based Mega for it, so I bred a bunch of Timid Pidgeys and sent them off Miracle Trade. Imagine the shock when I realised a Mega Pidgeot actually DID come out! There it is, all my memories from 2013.)

After some tests I can say that it meant to appear at route2 before being changed for pidgey.

Edit: Abomasnow encounter definitively is the one from Frost Cavern.

 

Still no rom hacker or luma user to help us, please?

It seems like I made a mistake..........there's no Weavile.
In pk3ds it's right below Abomasnow in that species dropdown. Maybe I accidently scrolled it down, ooops sorry. xD

I'm wondering what the last 4 bytes are used for. I thought it might be some sort of assignement so the game knows which map it belongs to, because it's zero for the unused Scatterbug. But where's Abomasnow assigned to then?
