On our Marshadow page,
We have an image, which is:


(1) Indicates that Nickname Default, Save Lang
 -> Nickname Default means it's not nicknamed
 -> Nickname save lang means this Pokemon language tag will follow your game save language.
(2) Indicates that Games All Regions: SM
 -> Games All Regions means it's not region locked. Any Region 3DS can receive it
 -> Games SM means can only be received by Sun and Moon

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to enter next weekend's online competition, No Holds Barred, and I want to use Marshadow with its Z-Move. I've been reading a lot on this site about its legality (this thread, the region and language guide and the Gen 7 evens legality table) and I think it would be legal if I inject the wc7 and use it since its a Local Wireless and Region Free event.

Nevertheless, I'm not 100% sure if it is like that (mainly because English is not my first language, I'm sorry), and that's why I'd like to ask.

I read this and started wondering if an specific item aka Marshadium Z can be flagged as illegal:

You already mentioned the fact that it's region free.
I don't know what else to tell you.

I mean, who knows what other weird security and tracking feature PGL has?
Maybe the no holds barred is to bait hackers into a sense of false security and ban everyone?

 

In any case. It's a region free event, meaning it can be imported. If you didn't do anything weird with your save, it's probably safe.
We can't ever be 100% sure.

They said held item is Marshadium Z. I think that's a mistake.
No Pokemon was distributed "Holding" the Z crystal so far.
(tho, they have been bundled together)

They probably thought it'd be easier to say it's holding the Marshadium Z than to say you'll be handed the crystal along with the Marshadow.

(They could just say "comes with Marshadium Z", though.)

I almost forgot about this event going on, but I managed to nab a code from EB Games today even though I have no use for it.

For those who aren't aware, the 9th (the day it officially started for NA) was the Thanksgiving holiday for Canada, thus retailers like it were closed.

Strangely enough I forgot about this event as Game UK had some issues with codes at the start of the event. I managed to grab a code last night.

The event runs for quite a long time here in the UK, until November 16th 2017.
