Bournest
Hey everyone is it really that all legit mews must have a certificate or was just the one on 1998 that came with the certificate. PS does anyone have one? is it like a diploma or what?
Rose[Idle]
Oh many that was so many years ago, I had a Mew Certificate from 1998 but I am sure I threw it away at some point. Me, My brother, and Sister all had one.. I think all it had was the Mew picture, its OT and its ID. Pretty useless, but I remember it looked shiny in the light. I was like 10 or 11 back then. EDIT: I am pretty sure this was it.

bear831
I have one of those! On my Red I also have 151 Pokemon all at level 100 without cheats! You have to much free time on your hands if you have them all at level 100 without cheating. I only got to 136 on my game without cheating and only 8 or so are level 100 not 151. Nirron
When I got my Mew they put a sticked on the back of the cartridge. Think it said "Mew Inside" or "Mew Owner" or something like that. If you guys want I could make a scan and post it here. Also got a T-shirt and some pictures from the Celebi Tour that took place in Belgium.. so many summers ago! I'm getting old.. Wonder if I still have this thing.. mine was in English or Dutch.. not sure! Just sad to know that I put all this effort in collecting these Pokémon and yet.. unable to trade them to my Platinum

Nirron
This is great work! Do you mind if I use these images in my Gen I & II event guide? Go ahead Sadly have no better pictures available to provide to you they are taken by myself 10 years ago when I was still young.. Also got some old magazines that talk about these events. Will scan them in and post them here soonish! Sadly one is in German.. maybe you can find a translator ^^' Cover http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/6931/celebi1.jpg First Page http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/129/celebi2.jpg Second Page http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/1274/celebi3.jpg Edit - Does anyone have any more info on that machine used to receive the Celebi? This is the same machine that gave me Mew in a later event.. technical information and how it looks in the inside ect.. http://i40.tinypic.com/2a9bcav.jpg Also something I totally forgot. I was one of the 64 of my country to get a Pokémon Gold Cartridge with 20 Celebi on it. I had to trade them to other players. Then send it back to Nintendo.. my reward a copy of Pokémon Crystal. Sadly nothing that makes it stand out from any other store bought Edited March 2, 2011 by Nirron

Nirron
Sorry for bumping up this old thread, but I still wonder of the internal parts of the "Mew machine" looks like. My guess is that these machine's were shipped back to Japan and maybe are sitting at the Nintendo HQ or were scrapped. Internal is propably just a Super Famicom board with a GameBoy Player 2 connected to something else?
Nirron
There is a way to replace the battery without losing the data
Twig
You can download the save then replace the battery and upload the save. I don't think the cable is sold any longer, but you might be able to find it second hand. We had a discussion about the distribution device a year or so ago, and we concluded it was most likely a super nintendo console with a modified super game boy cartridge. TotalTS
I've made a compilation of every Certificate I've found from Google, Reddit, Imgur, LiveJournal, and Ebay Archives. https://imgur.com/a/sgUbzFq Sorry for not giving credits to the OPs, but you can find some sources if you use Reverse Image Search.
