Cockatoo2
I just wanted to know if anyone is still here? It has been two weeks and haven't seen anyone around.
theskipster
Don't worry, the threads not dead (probably). For the most part, what's left is for comradesean to complete his tool, and perhaps finish lostaddict's tool as well. He's been pretty busy lately, so it could still be awhile until the tools are finished. Just be patient things will get done eventually.

Okay, I had not seen any activity in the last two weeks and was just wondering. Thanks for clearing that up. Also I have a question you may be able to answer. I have a v1.1 Pokemon Leaf Green and when I tried using comradesean's tool, it didn't give the wondercard or anything. Also when I tried reinserting my save onto my GBA cart, the whole save got corrupted. Is it not compatible with v1.1 saves?
theskipster
Really? I used v1.1 for Firered and it worked, but v1.0 did not. Are you sure that the save file originated from a v1.1 game? I noticed that even if I opened a save file from v1.0 in the v1.1 rom, then saved and tried to use it in the tool, it didn't work. P.S. I realized that was kind of confusing. Basically, for me, v1.1 save files worked, but I could not get v1.0 save files to work FOR FIRERED. I have not tested Leafgreen.

Yeah, I extracted my save file directly from the game cart and used his program to add the mystic ticket. But when I put it back on my game, I loaded it up and my save was gone. Luckily I had a backup of it, but yeah, my game cart is v1.1. Also I am going to start learning how to do what lostaddict and comradesean did and made a tool for wonder cards. I am going to try working through it just like they did, so that means I need to get a fresh save of my own Emerald game. Luckily I'm halfway through the game. How much do you understand of what they were doing to inject the wonder cards?
Giova
Is it normal that after i use the japanese tool to inject the old sea map and after caughting mew, the postman is still in the poke-market?

theskipster
Honestly, not much I kind of just do whatever I can to help out. For the most part I've only tested things out, given out general information to people who ask, and made a quick chart of what Takasan's tools do(though someone has now made an english translation of one of the tools). The best person to ask other than comradesean and lostaddict would probably be ajxpkm.

theskipster
I messed around with Takasan's tools, made a quick video showing that everything worked as it should on a cartridge rather than an emulator, and used comeradesean's tool on both Firered and Emerald. Made that chart of what Takasan's tools did (which I mentioned before) and other than that just tried to give out information to people who asked. I haven't tested out actual code and stuff for the programs, I have no idea how to do that stuff

Right now I am trying to finish my old Emerald game so I have a clean save I can use for my own testing. Then I will be able to start messing around with everything, and try to recreate what went on for myself. The more people we have working on it the better right? theskipster
Nothing much to show here, but I decided why not . Also, I made a tutorial on injection for a guy named BattleMoj, if you want I can send that to you in a PM. Iit was directed towards him specifically, so some parts wouldn't be relevant to you, and I think I talked kinda slow because the guy's first language wasn't English, but it shows how to extract the save file, inject the Wonder Card, and re-inject the save file into a cartridge. Shoot me a PM if you want to see it.
