Stu-Stu22 Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Such a rip-off of Tetris and Bejeweled, but still loads of fun
damio Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Bejeweled = Crap Tetris = Win Pokemon Puzzle League = ???
Stu-Stu22 Posted April 12, 2009 Author Posted April 12, 2009 An old N64 game. If I remember correctly, you just had to line 4 of the same energy blocks (same as the energy cards) to clear them, and you could play either 2D or 3D mode.
Fallen Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 Would've never wasted my money on it. It probably only made money because how huge the Pokemon craze was.
Varna Posted April 27, 2009 Posted April 27, 2009 This was actually a really good game, believe it or not. My cousins have it, and I still play it from time to time. There was also a similar incarnation of it on the GBC. Though honestly, Lorelei's Cloyster sounds like a pedo.
Zafur Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I have it. Can't remember how fun it was to play though. Too long ago.
Greencat Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I have it too. It's fun, but it's complicated when you can't move the cubes like in Bejeweled. =/
coreycubed Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 It's not a ripoff of any game. Puzzle League is an established series, first with Panel de Pon, then with the port to the US, Tetris Attack (SNES and GB) which was Yoshi & friends branded. Then came the Pokémon iterations for GBC and N64 (both very fun), the GBC version playing more like a SNES port (same story mode). Then a GBA and GCN release with no specific series branding (Nintendo) and finally a DS version with no branding. Puzzle League is probably one of my all-time favorite games, and if any of you have or can get a hold of the game for DS, I'd love to play over Nintendo WFC.
Doc Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 never heard of it, maybe thats a good thing, i hate all spin offs anyway
Psycho K Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 Yes. I love this game. I have it, Pokemon Puzzle Challange (GBA) and Planet Puzzle League. Panel de Pon is good stuff and I do see myself getting any future titles in the series. It's too bad Planet Puzzle League is so bland. In PPC, I liked using Giovanni and his Persian. It's too bad you could not use Puzzle League Gary. His Nidoqueen made awesome sounds. I'll play anyone in the DS one if he or she has it. I pretty much go for garbage battles over anything else.
HottSushiz Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 I have never heard of it. Although if it's anything like Tetris, i don't think i would like to play it. I'm still getting over the Tetris effect.
Espeon_LGS Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 i still have this game and it was fun it all starded with tetris attack for the snes i played it all the time with mij mom then i got pokemon puzzel league and finaly i got the gba puzzel league i sure spent a lot of time in these games (my fav puzzel game of all time)
Lotte Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Oh man, Pokemon Puzzle League is like.. my all-time favorite puzzle game ever~ <3 The N64 version, more so than the GBC one.. I still enjoy playing it from time to time. My boyfriend doesn't like playing against me 'cause I always beat him, though..
SwitzaHouse Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 That brings back memories. I used to play that all the time, after PKMN Snap, of course. I used to pick Koga, cause he is a ninja, and then Team Rocket, cause it's Team Rocket.
DeathWatch Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I really didn't enjoy this game that much either.
FreeSpirit Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 I have the N64 game of it and I really did like the game. Always liked solving the puzzles and the 3d mode was fun with other players. Though once you get piled on by a giant junk block in 3d you can chain that so easily cause it tends to lag/slow down making it easier to swap blocks and thinking of chains. I happen to have bought Puzzle League Express DSi Ware which brings back memories of the game.
Kaykitakis Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 It's is based on a clasic snes game called Panel de Pon. After this game came out in Japan only, a sequel was released worldwide: Tetris Attack.
theunreal Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 There are plenty on Ebay. If you have any pokemon go new staff I would buy
