Been a creeper since this thread started, thanks to google who send me mins after you created, been refreshing ever since. Great work so far, just maybe a little more clarity on what sections, are still available. Possibly by degree of difficulty. buuuuuuuuut.........

Great Work getting done! both text and pictures. Those pictures make me want to start up the jap version im sitting on. :( but alas i am not gifted in the linguistics.

Think i might set my gf on this she just majored in it so she might be able to help out, probably story area would be best for her. However open to suggestions on sections to sick her on.

Great Work for all you That are Translating and Categorizing, I Know you can feel the excitement is building!!!!!

Not to be mean or anything, but I think you're wasting your time with machine-translating. It seems that the goal of this project is QUALITY over speed, so the translating is probably best left up to those who know Japanese. It's not going to help anyone at all to read a sentence like "a.m. to speak to speak speak speak here Pokemonzu" vs Japanese that they can't read anyways.

Hey guys just dropping in for an update for those of you who are lurking and not checking the first post. I'm going to call it a night here soon cause I got an early class tomorrow but I should be back to it again afterwards, I have 3 other people helping me out with file 16 right now. njt is translating it, mattmagician and Karire are proof reading and localizing and finally I'm doing a second pass over their work as I format it back into the file.

You can check our progress on it at the git which I just updated at the following address: http://github.com/projectpokemon/Pokemon-Black-White-Translation-Files/blob/master/0000/0016.txt as you can see there is progress but we still got a lot to go!

This is the file I want to get done before a v1 release is ready (since all of it is battle text) but if Kazo feels like it's enough for a v1 I'll let him do a v1 release. Anyways thanks for hanging/lurking around!

P.S.

I'm liking the graphics some of you may want to contact Poryhack our resident graphics person for more info on how to edit those files.

Hey everybody, great work on the translation. When I did a google search, I wasn't expecting to find anything, but instead I found this wonderful website full of capable and eager translators working on the task. The news that v1, containing English battle text has me very excited.

I can't wait guys. You're all amazing.

I just made an account so that I could see the title images (and I was lurking)...

To be honest, something so in-depth is definitely worth waiting for, and I can see that you guys are doing an absolutely amazing job. I'm just offering the support from an ex-Japanese language person, because sadly due to my high school education my Japanese has degraded.

Keep up the fantastic work, guys!

Salam

you are doing nice job :grog:

but i want to ask, when the beta patch will be release?

I'm very interesting to try it:cool:

Not really known when its going to be released, shouldn't be too long though(would like to say a few days at the most for the v1 patch). This patch will basically attack names, pokemon names, item names, stuff like that but some other stuff may be thrown in as well...best to wait for a direct answer from Kaarosu.

Hello! I'm new here =)

Can someone explain to me exactly what I have to do when I want to translate from English into German?

Basically, you go to the git site listed on the first post, make a new fork of it for German translations and just work from there.

Nah, that seems correct. good job.

On that note, I think the completed files should be bolded or in flashing color or something on the first post. I've seen a LOT of re-translatios of files already done. :/

but good work none-the-less :D

Hey I'm new to this forum. This might sound like a stupid question, but I was just wondering how do I actually PATCH my rom so it has the translations? I downloaded the translated files but they're just text files. Is there some kind of software that I need to patch the rom, or do I have to edit its programing or something? Thanks a lot.

Uh, you're going to need to wait for someone (a.k.a. the leaders of this project) to re-insert the text files back into the ROM, and then create the patch, which you then download and use xdelta (presumably, unless it's IPS) to patch your ROM. Of course, if you know how to re-insert the files yourself without a patch (which I don't), then you wouldn't have to wait.

Done a few more, with the help of a friend ReignOfComputer (not on this forum). Could he be added to the credits too? :P (By the way, in the credits, WindSlayer please, not Windslayer >.<)
