  1. We all remember the Translation work our amazing team did, right? I was wondering if we can take all the english from an English version of the game and load it into the Kanji fileset of a Japanese version (setting up so we can swtich between a Japanese version and an English version on the fly!) I remember this being implimented with the translation patch. I figure it shouldnt be to hard to take the ALREADY translated files from an english game and plug them into a Japanese one where the Kanji tab's script would go. If anyone knows how to do this, or has a patch already, could it be mentioned please? I tend to break games when I open and edit the data Having a setup like this could mean also having a multilang patch for a number of combinations of languages. I think the biggest advantage would be being able to rename pokemon names (and even catching them) in Japanese and switching to the English script for storyline and such.:creep: Biggest disadvantage I see would be the namelength issue. catching pokemon in the english script would give them their perfectly normal english names, however renaming them would impose a character limit. the User's name too. (seeing as my English username is within the limits anyway, this isnt important) (In a simple summary: The japanese version has support for switching between Kana and Kanji scripts. Could we use an English version's files to replace either the Kana or Kanji scripts with english so we can switch between english and japanese anytime like we could in the translation project? (this time however, using the official translation))

  3. Going a touch further than that. let's not mention ROM's here... I'd hate to see such a project be pulled down. ^^ (look for Chase's post with the paypal button and donate to him!) (I would like to make a bold statement. The games are so much more fun to play without cheating. At least beat the game first :3 A rule to note with any pokemon game. Another thing to be careful of is Key Items. Getting certain ones before you should have them can make the game unplayable and any damages cannot be held to the program but the users :3 Cheers and have fun)
  4. Gray? That's creative. I'm sure he DIDN'T use google translate. (for a laugh, I suggest trying this ) E either has a gramatical translator or he simply speaks the language Also, woot V7! (I remember being here for V1, man, it seems like only a few weeks ago)
  5. (If all else fails, go back to older patches, Surely someone has backups of the older patches) And I'm doubting it messed with your save file, this is a ROM patch, and the only changes should have no affect on the sav, unless there's been a big problem. In which case, I'm sure the active team is working hard on it.
  6. To those using Acekard2i, try using AKAIO (the newest version, I'm not sure, but I think its 8?) That should fix things
  7. ...R4cce, download and use it to open your Usercheat file. scroll down to the pokemon white/black cheats and look to the side, there will be a game id and a little box with "...", click that and browse for the .nds of your game (probably on your sd card) click that file and the game id should change to whatever the current ID is. Save changes and make sure this updated usercheat is in the correct place... ^ open it and follow those directions, then click save. Put your card back into your DS AFTER doing that to change the cheat's ID to match your game (by following those steps) Boot your ds and the cheats tab should be avaliable now. (if the cheats are turned on but don't actually work, take this up with the cheats department as that isn't our problem and this thread isnt for such discussions) If The cheats tab wont show up (you cant see the cheats on your ds), please PM me what you're doing and all relevent details EDIT========== http://projectpokemon.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=2161&d=1259698832 get that, I made it last year for people doing this with HG and SS. It should be really useful to explain how to fix the cheats not showing up problem
  8. Again, sorry for multiple posts >.< the same thing works for Wood-R4, dstt and all the others, just follow the same steps and it should work, I've done this on an r4, acekard2i, M3zero and r4i-sdhc. This is the easiest way to fix up cheat files on ANY system (just open your cheat file. it may be usrcheat.dat, cheats.xml or whatever x.x again, sorry for multiple posts)
  9. google R4cce, download and use it to open your Usercheat file. scroll down to the pokemon white/black cheats and look to the side, there will be a game id and a little box with "...", click that and browse for the .nds of your game (probably on your sd card) click that file and the game id should change to whatever the current ID is. Save changes and make sure this updated usercheat is in the correct place and try then. (This seems to be a common problem, maybe someone should add this info to the help posts at the begining of the thread) Sorry if this is double posting, but I noticed a typo (it's fairly obscure and from v4 i think) The battle text for Giratina's signature attack (Shadow Force?) shows the battle text *Giratina burrowed it's way underground!* (or something, noticed it earlier today) I believe it should say *Giratina vanished instantly!*
  10. Chase-san, dont be so modest, That is definately blackmail! *would donate anyway but is poor ;A; * keep up the good work
  11. Oh wow... Three threads already? Hmm, I really havn't been keeping up on translating,(Or playing my game for that matter D: ) but It seems there were a lot of helpers, so I wasnt much missed... Anyway, I'd like to say good job with what's been done so far and I wish the best As I obviously wont be able to simply hop back in. Keep up the wonderful work, best of luck, ex-translator deishido (that was so touching, it's like breaking up ;A; but yeah, see everyone when the next gen comes out, maybe I'll be of some real help then )
