@ExNerved You can make dot files visible to Wine by running winecfg and enabling the option in the Drive section of the panel. I've added it to the OP, thanks for pointing that out!

Snarkanine started following [Pokemon Platinum] Save corrupt, PKSM information isn't mine.

Hi! I made an account to post here, so please bear with me. I am but a humble, Millennial fool. (人◕ω◕) I bought an authentic, used Pokemon Platinum cartridge, and the only issue it has is that I have to save twice for it to "stick." The first save attempt happens very quickly, even if it's "saving a lot of data," and doesn't actually register. The second save is appropriately paced, and will load up the next time I boot up the game. However: every time I boot up, it tells me that my save file is corrupted, and a previous save will be loaded. I was trying to troubleshoot and fiddle around to solve the problem. When I loaded the Game Save File via the PKSM software on my 3DS, it shows someone else's information. They have a bunch of boxes full of eggs holding items, and a couple of mons that PKSM couldn't verify. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is there a way to totally wipe the game and make it like a fresh cart, or did their hacks/cheats ruin the cart itself somehow? Up + Select + B, erasing the save file via TWLSaveTool, and trying to flash an emulator save to the cart didn't help. I've spent all day trying to problem-solve, but this seems well above me, if it's fixable at all. I tried looking at the hex things, too, but I'm very dumb, and couldn't wrap my head around any of that. I've attached the save file that I dumped from the cart using GodMode9. If there's something else I should do, or any other files I can grab for y'all, please let me know! POKEMON_PL_CPUE01_01.sav

Reading the Pokemon data of RSE Secret Base Trainers
WitchDianna replied to WitchDianna's topic in Saves - Editing Help
Some do appear in this Ruby's hall of fame actually: Swampert, Delcatty, and Kyogre (and out of those 3, Delcatty is the only one I physically have because it was transferred to Gale of Darkness before I lost the game itself: The data is slightly different though. Other than level, I don't know what else is different between the hall of fame mon and secret base mon. I know from memory that Swampert in particular has all the beauty contest ribbons and the artist ribbon and might've maxed its contest condition stat. But I can't read pokemon data very well, nor do I know how to find it within a rom or emulator exactly -

Quick update: I've made some architectural changes to the app, so now the first time you visit the page, it will run off the server using a persistent connection. The next time you visit, it will have silently downloaded an offline version, so it will run directly on your browser. The end result hopefully will be invisible to users, but it should mean that it starts a bit faster!

Reading the Pokemon data of RSE Secret Base Trainers
Frecksz replied to WitchDianna's topic in Saves - Editing Help
We’re both on similar missions :’) my Sapphire and Emerald files have both mixed records with each other, and a Ruby save file I no longer have. I just wanted to replace the battery and reset the RTC to battle myself but I saw the same video on the Blastoise rescue! I’ve done a lot of research since that video because I wanted to dive into the code of the game myself (nowhere near that yet, just about getting started! I haven’t coded anything since MySpace and tumblr layouts) the bulbapedia article mentioned in the video is here: https://m.bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Save_data_structure_(Generation_III) The HOF data does have the PID of the pokemon so if the ones you’re looking for have entered the hall of fame then you’re in luck. It won’t tell you too much else about the Pokemon though other than the level/species/OT. -

Hello @BlackShark and others, I've been wanting to create pokemon in PKheX to be able to use in PBR on dolphin. I followed your steps and edited the offset values. Loading my original PbrSaveData file (after encrypting) and trying to move about the boxes will give a fatal error. I also created a pokemon, and I cannot check storage in PBR. Undoubtably there was a error I made somewhere, but I followed your steps entirely. Sorry the bump. I'm really not sure what to do (also completely unfamiliar in this territory)

New PKHeX version broke both the Feebas and Mirage Island plugins. The app just crashes when it tries to load either of them. PKHeX_Error_Report 20240605031722.txt PKHeX_Error_Report 20240605032048.txt -
Just played through this. So much fun! If I could add only one thing, it would be nature mints or some other way to change the nature of already captured mons. I found a wonderful set of AR codes to change the natures of all newly generated trainer pokemon. I implemented it about halfway through my playthrough after getting a -spatk Suicune. Unfortunately, it is very tedious. I guess if I could see anything else, I'd want Protect and Helping Hand available from as early as Phenac. At least by Agate. Also, for some reason, I don't think thick fat properly triggered on fire type attacks aimed at tropius?

Reading the Pokemon data of RSE Secret Base Trainers
WitchDianna replied to WitchDianna's topic in Saves - Editing Help
Glad to know I'm not alone :'D that's the reason why I started this thread, I'm trying to get a mon or 2 back from KIMMY's base as I no longer have the original cartridge; this Ruby file has the last remaining records of them. I've tried the Roamer Glitch to try and catch them back, but they just turn into bad eggs, even when I set my name/ID/SID to the same data. There's a video that had someone getting a mon's data through the Hall of Fame, and was wondering if something similar could be done for secret bases. I remember some stuff such as nature, but if I just had the PID at least I think I could find the IVs in RING Reporter/PokeFinder and recreate them from scratch. The only loss would be the ribbons and contest stats. -

pkNX does not do anything special with its text entry fields. If the game does not render the characters you are trying to use, then they're not available in the font. - Last week

Game says save is corrupted (VC Crystal Version)
J4ckTheRippa posted a topic in Saves - Editing Help
This started occurring after I had accidentally removed my SD card while PKHeX was still open. I checked to see if I could still open the sav files before putting the SD back in my 3DS. I imported the save into the game using JKSM, and when I launch the game the error message states "Save data was corrupted and will be initialized." When I import the old data that wasn't modified, the game boots just fine. The problem now is that any changes I make give me this error message, where as before I was changing my save a ton without issues. It even happens on my Gold Version as well. I downloaded the latest version of PKHeX, tried in the dev build too, and I even went and bought a new SD card in an effort to resolve the issue, but I still cannot modify any saves and import them without the save being corrupted. Any help is appreciated. I searched on here using key words, so if there is a known fix for this I apologize for missing it. -
Or use a sysbot that doesn’t clear HOME trackers. I don’t know which one does that, but I know it exists.

How do I verify if a event pokemon was genned
ICanSnake replied to matternet's topic in Pokémon Legality
You can't. You can only be 100% certain that something is legitimate if you obtained it yourself, but you can make educated guesses and be less confident on legitimacy for someone else's Pokemon, even if it's someone you trust. You can ask for proof to show how they obtained it (a picture of their wondercard in the game with their username, or a video showing the process of redeeming) since you can't fake the card album on the Switch. Depending on what genned means to you, this doesn't prove that something wasn't cloned. Many traders trade cloned proofed events. If you are wanting uncloned, the best option would be to ask for the trading history of that specific Pokemon.
