Hey there! Foreword This Thread is for the Research about the 3rd Gen Mystery Gift System. For some reason, this part of research is nearly untouched, even there's a high demand about this, because there are still many mysteries about this feature. And I also think that many people would love to know everything about the Myster Gift feature and the Wonder Cards. They are the origin of every Wonder Card released in the future for the ongoing Generations and those to come. That's why I think they definitely deserve this attention. What needs to be done I want to collect all the informations about the officially released Wonder Cards we can get and I want to make it possible to reconstruct and inject Wonder Cards to our save files. This is not an easy task because a lot of websites went down over the years and now in 2015 it's hard to get save files with Wonder Cards. And as you may know, 3rd Gen Events are very rare. I want to study and analyze the anatomy of Wonder Cards and see how they work. Also I would like to know if we can find scripts related to the Mystery Gift System that were never used. Such as Egg Events, the Altering Cave Mystery ect. There's a high possibility that we could find hidden informations in the Rom. Informations, Save Files, Videos, Screenshots... Everything would be helpful! My personal hope is that we could make it possible to recreate legit (whatever this means) Wonder Cards + the Option to create custom Wonder Cards with 3rd Gen Tools like A-Save. It would be amazing to do this. I think this would be an highly appreciated feature and I will try my best to make this happen. All important informations will be added to this post. St. GIGA posted a topic in Saves Requests and FilesHello RNG'ers! Today, I have prepared a save file for those looking to RNG Japanese Emerald's Mew for me. It is a copy of the HaxAras ticket save, but with both ID numbers changed to a special set that makes the only timid 6iv flawless method 1 spread shiny after 176+ million frames. (Refer to my earlier posts and threads for my desired hex PID of 7942EF72, with TID 60510, and 31337.) Anyways, this save file is ready to catch mew when using frameskip 9/10, turbo mode, 1000%, and vblank patching (all from reddit and bond697) to speed the game up to the only flawless frame at 176,000,000+ frames, which, instead of 817 hours or 5 weeks, would, after skipping frames this way, would only take 23-24 hours to hit the frame on a fast PC. This allows Mew to be obtained. If HaxAras's save is unwanted due to cheating, just use Glitzer popping on InsaneNutter's Used Emerald Cart save to change both ID numbers before getting Mew if you abhor cheats. You can trade the Mew to an English RS with Pandora's box TID/NAME/SID/Gender manipulation to trick the name rater into allowing a legit 10 letter english Name before pal-parking without save flashing. Before I forget, on VBA-rr, audio must be off, and the frame counter script for JP Emerald must run, while in addition, the GBA bios is needed for timing accuracy and legitimacy purposes. The desired frame to jump to is frame 176,562,489, which has this PID. You can refer to my first and second threads for the info on these facts, and you can get more info from HaxAras, Ammako, BlackNight(???), suloko, SciresM (possibly), the_Slayer, trigger_death (for GBA RNG info,), and my theories/observations in the connected posts. r/pokemonrng on reddit may help. My earlier wish for an RNG'd 3GPKM is renewed, due to the info found on reddit which, with the battle video method, significantly makes this more doable on console after using an emulator to store the frame counter in the battle video using that namesake glitch on reddit, which allows you to hit the frame on console after save flashing to a JP emerald. This allows shiny 6iv flawless "event ID" method 1 pokemon to be legitimately caught on console with assistance from a wii with fix94's save dumper tool. With school, I have little chance or explanation to waste 24 hours waiting for mew on rng, so I leave the process of procuring shiny event legends with longer names to those in need. Interestingly enough, the Hadou mew can be made using these 2 id numbers into a fan event, which is nicknamed to 10 letters, because the word "Hadou" is 5 characters or less in Romaji and Japanese. This means a hybrid JP event mew is makeable by RNG users due to GEN 3 oversights. Have fun RNGing!
Since there have been several people asking me for help to find the Mirage Island value in their save files I wrote a little programm (in C) that searches for it! Well, this is my first programm and unfortunately and don't know how to make a GUI. So you have to use the command prompt (cmd.exe) to use it.... I might make a more comfortable one in the future. How to use Only raw save files (size 128kBytes) and uncompressed No$GBA save files (since v1.5) are supported! No$GBA saves are compressed by default, in order to get them uncompressed "SAV/SNA File Format" has to be changed from "Compressed (good/lz)" to "Uncompressed" in NO$GBA.ini manually. 1. Search and open cmd.exe 2. Open MirageIslandValue.exe in cmd.exe, you can use drag and drop for that 3. Enter one of these commands -r or -s for Ruby/Sapphire, -e for Emerald 4. Open your save file in cmd.exe, you can use drag and drop again 5. Press Enter and the output should look like the example Example: C:\Users\USERNAME>C:\PATH\MirageIslandValue.exe -r C:\PATH\Ruby.sav Mirage Island Value: 716D The value is already in the right order, you don't have to reverse it! In my example the PID should be XXXX716D. XXXX can be any bytes from 0000 to FFFF. For easier usage of the Windows version there are 2 optional batch files in this package . All you willl need to do is drag and drop your save onto the respective file. The batch has to be in the same directory as the exe. Changelog:
