As part of this year's annual Christmas releases to the Pokemon event community, today we present the first Mew ever known to be preserved from the distribution held at SpaceWorld 1997. Not only is this our first Mew from SW97, it is also the oldest/earliest pokemon event we've ever had the privilege of preserving. This Mew was recently discovered through a post on Reddit by u/salinbreezy, in which he shows the Mew on a Japanese Blue cart that he found at a thrift store alongside several other Japanese Pokemon cartridges. I'd like to give special thanks to @suloku and @HaxAras who both emailed me in late September to inform me of it, while suloku asked me to contact salinbreezy myself to counter the time and expense of overseas shipping. Thankfully salinbreezy happily agreed to ship me his cartridge to allow me to dump the savefile. After direct examination, we're positive that this Mew is very likely legitimate. This Mew was distributed like most events of the era, by a "Mew machine", which as we know distributes identical Mews with TIDs incremented by 1 to the player's party. Bulbapedia provides a bit further information on the event, stating: To be eligible to receive a Mew, players had to submit an application postcard; only 100,000 people were able to receive this Mew. While originally going to be run from November 22 to 23, 1997, the distribution was later extended to the non-exhibition day November 24, 1997. While this is the ヨッシー (YOSHI) OT variant of the SW97 Mew, one of the other known OT possibilities is ルイージ (LUIGI). This is TID 15219 of the ヨッシー Mews. Again, I'd like to thank salinbreezy for allowing us to preserve this Mew. It may very well be the only Mew we ever see from SpaceWorld 1997, as the life of the batteries retaining these old savefiles are at their very end. Japanese events from Generation I and II are extremely rare as it is, and to date the only other Japanese events from the era that we've preserved are four マクハリ (Makuhari) Mews from SpaceWorld 1999. ----- salinbreezy's image from Reddit: Dumping salinbreezy's Japanese Blue cart: SpaceWorld 1997 Mew Promotional Advertisement: In regards to further event rarities being released this year, there may be more to see tomorrow elsewhere on the internet 151 - ミュウ - 15219.pk1 Blue.sav

I recently purchased a used copy of Pokemon Red off eBay, and the cartridge miraculously still had a save on it. The file belonged to "タイガ", they had beaten the game, caught a few Pokemon, it's a pretty ordinary little save file. This cart ended up bleeding into another project I had going on, which was restoring an old Kemco Pikachu link cable. So before the save battery died, I traded over all of タイガ's Pokemon to a flash cart, and saved them onto PKHex. I've uploaded the save file as well as the individual PK1 files, have fun! You can watch the video I made detailing the entire process here: -

Hey so a lot of people have over the years asked me about my save files and some of them have been made obsolete/deprecated. I had a lot of time this year to fix/polish some of my older save files, and then I got overwhelmed with all of the Pokemon files on my Desktop so I'm just going to dump all of what I have into a zip file and make it public for all of you to use. Some Pokemon players want to own every single Pokemon and have it be the best version it can possibly be (competitive movesets, shiny, events, pokerus, all ribbons, etc etc), so ever since 2015 I decided to take this to the max and basically "max out" the game for every version from Gens 1 all the way to the games today. The challenge is making sure the Pokemon has that "green checkmark" on PKHeX (which has been made a lot easier thanks to the many updates Kaphotics has made over the years). What I am attaching is years of work, some of which has been borrowed or taken from various other places, but I try my best to credit the Smogon community, Kaphotics, ProjectPokemon's database, Gridelin, etc etc but there is honestly a lot of stuff on here that it's too much for me to really document in depth... so the best thing I can do is tell you to read the ReadMe and view the "Mainstream Media" folder which should contain save files for each generation. (Sorry for the weird nicknames lol. The reason for that is because 3DS games can only have "main" without a file extension, so I needed to give random nicknames to differentiate them and it would be weird for some of those files to have ".dsv" at the end so I just decided to make them all extensionless but PKHeX should still be able to read them all). So that's about it. I really hope you all enjoy these saves... I share them to you for the love of the game. I want you to know that I do not condone cheating - these saves are purely for casual play/fun and mildly interesting purposes. I hope I am not breaking any rules by sharing my saves (again, some of these are derivative and most of the stuff in the Supplementary folder are just dumps of whatever backup files I had). Let me know if you have any questions and if you need me to take this down for any reason then I certainly will comply. Sincerely, isleep2late isleep2late's 8 Gen Gem.rar

Hello I hope you are well. I put them in context; I am playing Pokemon Blue (JP) and Pokemon Crystal (JP), I was wondering if there is a save file editor for Gen 1 and 2 in Japanese, because I used OmniEdit, Rhydon Editor and Pikasav and they do not read these games and I want to have a backup of my two games. What do you recommend me to do? . Thank you very much for your attention.

So I have a VC Pokemon Green version (Midori JPN) and I want to trade some Pokemon to another Gen 1 VC game like Blue or Yellow and then use poketransfer to Pokebank and Gen 7 games. I did my first try with a lvl 5 starter untouched Bulbasaur but I had problem and the recepsionist didn't allowed me to make a trade, I thought it was a problem because of the JPN VC game with a PAL VC one so I just drag the Bulbasaur file with PKHex on the VC Blue one without a legality check. I tried again and failed again with the same message. So I thought lets check this buddy Bulbasaur out on PKHex and then I found that the nickname tab had a check but without a nickname, uncheck it and PKHex told me it was legal. So went back on my game and I was ready to finally trade the buddy over so I can get him on Pokebank and then I found out that after the uncheck on nickname tab JPN Bulbasaur got his English name as Bulbasaur and not some kanji Went with some other JPN pk1 files that I got from some threads here and they have the same problem. My question is does this have any legality issue if transfer on Gen 7? Does they got their JPN name back or not? And should they be with JPN and not with ENG?
