FIRE RED EXPANDED is a mid-effort hack (patch) of Fire Red that adds/replaces encounters in routes, changes up some trainer fights and makes important battles more fun and overall tougher. Plus, Bulbasaur and Squirtle are instead replaced with Treecko and Totodile, and Charmander is still there; did that just so it's a different experience. NOTE: When patching, make sure to use the Squirrels version of Fire Red to play the hack. I have no idea what would happen if you used a regular Fire Red ROM, the game might as well just break, i actually have no idea Anyway uhh have Fun lol
2. Hello its me, MasterKirby1982 again. It's been a long time since I posted something on this Pokemon site.. Anyways, I am going to teach you how to obey Mew and Deoxys in Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen. Well... let's get started! How to obey Mew and Deoxys in Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen. 1. Open a Hex Editor. 2. Search your Pokémon FireRed or LeafGreen version that you have and open it in your Hex Editor. 3. Here I put a list about the regions of Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen except for the Japanese version. ---------------------------------------- For FireRed/LeafGreen - USA/English 1.0 version: For Mew, Go to the offset: x1D402 And change the 97 byte to 00. Then save it. For Deoxys, Go to the offset: x1D3EC And change the CD byte to 00. Then save it. ---------------------------------------- For FireRed/LeafGreen - USA/English 1.1 version: For Mew, Go to the offset: x1D416 And change the 97 byte to 00. Then save it. For Deoxys, Go to the offset: x1D400 And change the CD byte to 00. Then save it. ---------------------------------------- For Rojo Fuego/Verde Hoja - Español version: And, Rouge Feu/Vert Feuille - Française version: For Mew, Go to the offset: x1D372 And change the 97 byte to 00. Then save it. For Deoxys, Go to the offset: x1D35C And change the CD byte to 00. Then save it. ---------------------------------------- For Feurrote/Blattgrune - Deutsch version: And, Rosso Fuoco/Verde Foglia - Italiana version: For Mew, Go to the offset: x1D386 And change the 97 byte to 00. Then save it. For Deoxys, Go to the offset: x1D370 And change the CD byte to 00. Then save it. ---------------------------------------- 4. When you putt these values and save your game of Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen in the Hex Editor.. Your Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen ROM will be modified and then, the obedience problem that Mew and Deoxys have will disappear forever being solved/fixed of that error.. 5. Now you just have to play the game and try to meet a wild Mew or Deoxys. Here I have the codes for them: Wild Mew in the Grass FireRed/LeafGreen: USA/English 1.0 version B2AABF26 21876A02 A38F820C 1C572779 89E97F2B 6BAD3B49 ----------------------------------- FireRed/LeafGreen: USA/English 1.1 version AAA03B78 9758074E A38F820C 1C572779 89E97F2B 6BAD3B49 ----------------------------------- Rojo Fuego/Verde Hoja: Español version 6D02B612 794ECD5E A38F820C 1C572779 89E97F2B 6BAD3B49 ----------------------------------- Rouge Feu/Vert Feuille: Française version B74884C3 ADA6B1CC A38F820C 1C572779 89E97F2B 6BAD3B49 ----------------------------------- Feurrote/Blattgrune: Deutsche version 89C87307 2124084B A38F820C 1C572779 89E97F2B 6BAD3B49 ----------------------------------- Rosso Fuoco/Verde Foglia: Italiana version 3D431A27 6F0EE009 A38F820C 1C572779 89E97F2B 6BAD3B49 Wild Deoxys in the Grass FireRed/LeafGreen: USA/English 1.0 version B2AABF26 21876A02 A38F820C 1C572779 F21BADB2 284A02F4 ----------------------------------- FireRed/LeafGreen: USA/English 1.1 version AAA03B78 9758074E A38F820C 1C572779 F21BADB2 284A02F4 ----------------------------------- Rojo Fuego/Verde Hoja: Español version 6D02B612 794ECD5E A38F820C 1C572779 F21BADB2 284A02F4 ----------------------------------- Rouge Feu/Vert Feuille: Française version B74884C3 ADA6B1CC A38F820C 1C572779 F21BADB2 284A02F4 ----------------------------------- Feurrote/Blattgrune: Deutsche version 89C87307 2124084B A38F820C 1C572779 F21BADB2 284A02F4 ----------------------------------- Rosso Fuoco/Verde Foglia: Italiana version 3D431A27 6F0EE009 A38F820C 1C572779 F21BADB2 284A02F4 These are codes where Mew and Deoxys will appear in the grass and these will be examples to see if they obey you. The codes are ordered with their respective region in which game version or language you are playing. But hey... If you want to catch them... you have to have a Master or Ultra Balls if you want to catch them. Well.. here I end my explanation. I hope it has helped you solve your problem about these two Mythical Pokémon. See you later.
3. At the behest of @greenDarkness I have created a patch for Pokemon : Gale of Darkness which splits the moves between physical and special as in gen 4. Everything else has been left unchanged as much as possible. Shadow moves will keep the same category as in the original and regular moves are based on their categories in the later games. Apply the patch to a clean ISO of Pokemon : Gale of Darkness. If tsukuyomi doesn't work, try NUPS. Enjoy! _phys_spec_split.ups
4. Hi, Sorry if this is the wrong section, wasn't sure where to put this since I'm new here. Does anyone have the Vblank patch for Japanese Emerald, and if it exists, a FireRed version? On max settings FR is only running at about 1600% (turbo, 1000% speed, highest process priority, skip 2 frames, frames advancing in a battle) I have the regular English version, which I'm grateful for and has helped immensely, just hoping if its available in the versions I mentioned above. Thank you.
5. Because nobody ever really understood how trainer music was determined until now, and it seems like a useful feature to have. Alright so for this you're gonna want to extract your rom and decompress a couple of the files. I normally use ndstool and blz.exe to do this: ndstool -x originalromname.nds -9 arm9.bin -7 arm7.bin -y9 y9.bin -y7 y7.bin -d data -y overlay -t banner.bin -h header.bin copy arm9.bin arm9decomp.bin blz -d arm9decomp.bin copy overlay\overlay_0036.bin overlay_0036decomp.bin blz -d overlay_0036decomp.bin Now we need to make a few changes to our decompressed overlay 36. They change slightly based on version. Black 2: White 2: Now, this change will affect how big the file is when compressed, so we need to edit a table in y9.bin to take that into account open it up, go to offset 0x49C, and change it from 58 E9 03 -> 5C E9 03 for Black 2 or 30 E9 03 -> 34 E9 03 for White 2. Finally, we insert the music table itself. Originally the game contains a table for each of the 236 trainer classes in the form AA GG EE EE, where AA is unknown, GG is gender, and EE EE is the encounter (not the battle) music. The gender field isn't really used for much of anything, so we're just gonna overwrite it with a field for battle music. Note that we only have one byte to work with, so we're restricted to music in the range 0400 to 04FF, but that includes pretty much everything anyway. Now, open your decompressed arm9, and go to 0x8E394 for Black 2 or 0x8E3C0 for White 2. Here, you want to replace with This will assign each trainer class the same music they had in the vanilla game. Obviously this is not very useful, so go ahead and edit that second column to assign whatever music you like to each trainer class. You can use BWTE or something to remind yourself what order the 236 classes come in. Once you've done that, it's time to rebuild the rom. Which brings us to the bad news. Even though we didn't change the size of the decompressed arm9, our changes still affect what size it is after compression, which for some reason causes major issues when rebuilding the rom. One way to solve this is to just insert the decompressed arm9, instead of compressing it first. This basically solves the issue, but at a cost: the game will now supposedly only be compatible with emulators, not an actual DS. copy overlay_0036decomp.bin overlay\overlay_0036.bin blz -en overlay\overlay_0036.bin ndstool -c newromname.nds -9 arm9decomp.bin -7 arm7.bin -y9 y9.bin -y7 y7.bin -d data -y overlay -t banner.bin -h header.bin Obviously this is not ideal, so if anyone knows how to insert a compressed arm9.bin with a different size from the original WITHOUT making the game impossible to boot, please let me know. But either way, hope someone finds all this useful.
6. Hello, I just wanted to hack a Pokemon White (USA) Rom and did it. I opened it in DesMume and it was like a dream. I fought with Charmander against Snivy. After I destroyed Snivy, I didn't gain Exp. points. Is there any patch that I can download? Please help. Greetings
7. HGSS - Kris as Female Protagonist Rom info: Hack of: Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver (USA) Language: English Current Version: 2.0 Last Updated: 18th July, 2012 Summary This is a simple hack of HGSS, where Lyra is replaced by Kris, the female protagonist introduced in Pokémon Crystal. There are a few minor glitches, but these are mostly negligible. All that is changed in this patch is the graphics, as well as any mention of 'Lyra' with 'Kris'. Screenshots: Videos: Credits: Tools used: Kimba616 - DeviantArt – for making all the Kris sprites. Link S-Laughtur - DeviantArt – for making the full-art Kris sprite in the intro. Link Someone – a kind anon on 4chan sent me his work on a rom hack like this one, entitled 'Pokemon SpiritCrystal', from which I extracted Kris' backsprites from. Bugs: Changelog: Downloads and Documentation: Link to patch and xdelta (used to patch the original rom)
8. No$GBA may be outdated, but it still has some good qualities to it. To me, and others, debugging is super helpful. To some, they prefer it to play and get screenshots from. However, Black and White has been a bit harder to get working with it. So, I made this patch. The patch allows the player to get EXP from battles, start the game, and even save! Best part is, no AR code is required to play your game. The current patch supports ENGLISH WHITE VERSION ONLY. If there is interest in Black version, I will get a copy of that out as well. To use, you will need a copy of the original xdelta and knowledge of the basic command line. If your ROM is 256 MB, it needs to be trimmed: First download the file below and the xdelta from the previous link. For ease, put xdelta, the patch, and your trimmed ROM into the same directory. Navigate into that directory via command line. Run this command (assuming your game is called "white.nds"): xdelta patch white_nocash.patch white.nds white_patched.nds If you did everything right, white_patched.nds is your new patched ROM. Downloads: white_nocash.patch
9. After much turmoil over rom patches that only work on Windows, I have created a rom patcher that works in OS X. 6jRKw8P86dc http://rapidshare.com/files/284142416/DS_Rom_Patcher.zip http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PEN7XOAE View larger video here I made this to work with Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver, and I have tested it with both KazoWAR's and Raqib12's patches. In theory, this patcher can patch any DS rom that uses xdelta patches. Note: I could not find a freezing patch file for HeartGold/SoulSilver. There are 2 out there, but they are .exe files, not patch files. In order to have a HG/SS with the freezing fix, you must either start with a pre-patched rom(Search on Google) or use a patch that has the freezing fix in it. I ask that the makers of the translation patches add freeze-protection in their patches, or that the makers of the freezing patches make their patches availiable as a patch file.
