The Farawayplace and the Pokeball values are necessary for backwards compatibilty with DPP, when HGSS locations did not exist and Kurt's balls did not exist. If you trade to DPP from HGSS, the custom Pokeballs will always turn into a regular Pokeball, but if you trade to HGSS, they will search for the 85h value of it because that is where the data for the new Pokeball is stored in. Same for Johto... 46h and 47h stores the Johto location in hex so when it is traded to DPP when Johto locations were not programmed it will state "Farawayplace". So everything is right... you just have to expect Gamefreak to try and make HGSS compatible with DPP, and this is how they did it. So if you are editing a Pokemon caught in a custom Pokeball... NEVER EVER change that Pokeball into, let's say, Lure Ball. Keep it a Pokeball but change the 85h value accordingly.

Oh boy o_O Although, to be fair, getting a legend with the right IVs is disgustingly hard. But even without the right IVs, those Pokemon are still scary. I don't know... I believe the Pokemon that are not allowed are only chosen by their availability or something... seeing how most of them are are the 600 BST Pixies... -
Yes, a Ninetales with STAB and Charcoal boost... survived Flamethrower... and I was its same level. I don't care anymore... the game LOVES to do that to me... leave the enemy's Pokemon on pixel of an HP... Oh and get this... Heracross learned Megahorn at that battle... when I needed it against Exeggutor. Just wonderful. Anyhow, I may have underestimated the gym leaders of HGSS (aside from Falkner). Perhaps the low level curve really does affect leveling up... since most of my friends who play NORMALLY end up around 38ish even after they complete Victory Road. It seems strange in the end, but whatever.

Not always... I'm prepared for those people who use Smogon sets as well. Frankly I believe it destroys the integrity of the game but I'm always wary of Hidden Power Grass electrics who switch into my Swampert (why else would they go in then?) and try my best to play regularly. Sure, I won't be using Hidden Power or legendaries... but I'm sure there are ways to enjoy the game without cheating through. There definitely is a way to win without running perfect stats, that I can tell you. I've won many battles... without cheating and lost some... fair and square. School and work... yeah same here. I think that's most of us. But then again, I don't know if we have time to play Pokemon then. And I certainly don't enjoy breeding... it's long and tedious... and getting good IVs/natures is hard... and EV training takes quite a lot of time, but there are ways to speed it up. Nor does my Ninetales want to breed with a reindeer to get baby foxes with the ability to put people to sleep 60% of the time or fire Energy Balls... Have fun with your game then...

It's fine. I mean, hacking within the boundaries I'm all right with... as long as they're legal. But yeah, if I get destroyed by people who spent 10 minutes on Pokesav and whatnot and they call it skills, whatever... just let them be... because if you're hacking just to win (speaking about those hackers in general), you know you're not worth much. :] Hax is just luck that occurs often, and often against me (ask anyone here and they'll tell you how Fortuna despises me so )... which can be minimized but not prevented completely. There will ALWAYS be critical hits or 95% accurate moves like Air Slash missing 8 times in a row allowing the opponent's Salamence to get in 6 DDs and more... can't change consequences unfortunately. Yeah, welcome aboard then... although "FML" is not really an appropriate title... and get to know more people around this forums. There's more to this game than the elitist competitive metagame... at least that's what I think.

After the National Dex the Bugs get higher leveled, and Pokemon from future generations are added as well. I won with a full HP level 36 Volbeat today. However the new Pokemon will only appear on Thursdays and Saturdays (although Pinsirs and Scythers level 27-28 are still mixed in with the new crowd)... and Tuesdays will be the classical bug catching contests... only with higher levels. And I believe the points are determined by the HP and the stats combined. I don't believe shininess factors in that much, if at all.

No offense, but I REALLY hate it when people hack a team and go show it off around Wifi treating it as if it were a simulator while I'm playing with regular Pokemon that I breed and train by myself (if I had an euro for every time I encountered a 31-31-31-31-31-31 shiny Latias on Wifi I'd be buying myself my private island right now). I mean, if you were hacking a Pokemon, at least go through the limit boundaries. Good nature? Fine. Perfect IVs across the boards? Possible but still highly unlikely. Perfect Hidden Powers with IVs? Get out! Legendaries with amazing IVs and natures and moves that come from FRLG but somehow originates from DPP? Sigh... Wifi is riddled with Seismic Toss Blisseys... where at least 70% of these people don't know that Seismic Toss comes from FRLG. Everytime I do battle on Wifi and see a whole team of perfect IV'd Pokemon with beneficial Hidden Powers, I go nuts. Sure, I still stay on and battle, but it is unfair for the people who play fairly. Sorry, it had to come out. Why don't you play around simulators for a while until UnderXRay comes back (he is the main requests handler in this forums)? Please be patient... for he has some stuff going on in his personal life and has over gazillions of people waiting for him to finish up their Pokemon too. He does this all by himself now too. He will be back though, so just wait until then I mean, I could make Pokemon and trade them over... but I do not own the DS (it is my brother's)... so welcome? Simulators do have a lot of people on it... yeah, so what if they're not the same? It's still battling... and is better than nothing.

Oh boy. I think we really need a small questions thread for Pokesav (if there already is one maybe I ought to move this there)... Anyways, Day-Care couple is at the field "Egg Hatched at" field... just fill in "2000" and it should fill that up. Here is a sample Ninetales which was hatched from the Daycare people (load it in storage... it won't open up in your party). The 44h and 45h fields are important as well... along with the "Date Egg Received" field. Met at level should be set to 0 and the Met in Place field should be where the egg hatched. Vixie.pkm

Mom never bought Choice Band for me... only Choice Scarf. I found Choice Specs at the Lake of Rage. Anyhow, you don't have to be anywhere near Red's level to beat him. If your Pokemon have the advantage or whatnot, you can be at least 60ish and still take him down. Take a look at . Yes, it's me, but don't ask why I fail so badly, but hey I still managed to beat him Note that this is the second time I'm fighting him. I never had the chance to record it when I was fighting him the first time, but rest assured, the team was the same and only 2-3 levels lower... and I tried to finish him off the same way I did the first time around... I'm done catching all the Pokemon required from Sinnoh Sound for today. I can finally relax and go and train my new Buizel. Can you believe that it took 2 hours to find a Bidoof? No way! -
If you are editing directly from a SAV file: everything in the front should be filled out. If you want to modify Pokemon through AR: Don't worry about the main page, just fill out a Pokemon and edit the Pokemon itself. Of course you may consider finding out your trainer's secret ID first. Step 1: Okay... if you EVER want a Pokemon to look like it came from HGSS, make sure the location value is 3002, or Farawayplace... Good, now you're halfway done. Step 2: Look at THIS TOPIC and edit the 46h and 47h according to this guide. Have fun. EDIT: Wow did I put 44h and 45h? Sorry I meant 46h and 47h. Just in case you were curious, the 44h and 45h ONLY CONCERNS for HATCHED Pokemon. Leave it blank otherwise.

Red had the worst movesets on his Pokemon... and I feel they were very gimmicky. I'm especially talking about Snorlax here. Why is he running Shadow Ball and Crunch on the same set? And even so, while these HGSS rosters did give some Pokemon those 150 BP Recharge moves (Giga Impact on Snorlax, Blast Burn on Red's Charizard, Hyper Beam on Lance's Dragonite), I never see them use it... ever. Personally I found Lance to be the biggest pain... but that was when my Pokemon were only at the 40s-42s... while his were averaging around 48. Or perhaps Bruno and his evil Machamp. Actually, Green (Blue in your US games) was the toughest... his Exeggutor surviving Flamethrower and Trick Rooming... that Gyarados just wouldn't go down either... but again, probably due to my low levels

I don't know how people get to level 43s by the time they reach Clair, but... after looking at your levels and some of my friends' and ParaDoX's levels... I think WE are the normal people. Those people who go crazy with their level 80s at the league is insane.</p></p></p></p></p>

o_O You're kidding me? I beat her with a level 47 Heracross... and I believe that was my highest! Training Volty the Pikachu, the French Pikachu Lt. Surge gave me. Currently it is level 11 (I got it at level 4). -

Some people play with the Pokemon that they SEE as they go along the game instead of trading it from Platinum or something. Stop saying this game's too easy!! >.></p></p></p></p></p>

I am massing coins at the Game Corner... so far I have around 800ish now. The Voltorb Flip is pretty fun... it stimulates your brain a bit, even if there are some luck required. Only 1400 more left for TM90, which I can teach to my new Mismagius! I love the Voltorb Flip a lot more than the slot machines... only because I did have some problems with gambling being encouraged in a children's game... but what makes me upset is the lack of coin dealer. And TM13/24/35 are still 10,000 coins. Thanks Gamefreak. You really made my day As for the Pokemon... I bred Leafie the Meganium with a Sunflora to get Leech Seed... but it turns out the baby Chikorita also has Grasswhistle and Synthesis from breeding as well. Hmm... maybe I ought to try raising it to 44 to get Leaf Storm. How does that sound? Kitsune the Ninetales... unfortunately had a go with Rudolph the Stantler... >.< At least her babies will have Energy Ball and Hypnosis I am STILL wondering why Ninetales was allowed to have Energy Ball as a hereditary move but denied the access of learning it as a TM. The only other case I know is TM29 on Psyduck/Golduck... but that was in Gen III and prior. -

He did it for the world tree Yggdrasil SM2... Hello there Odin. And old school is amazing... those were the days my friend. A lot has changed in the competitive scene since Gen II though... but I'm sure you can manage.
