  1. If you're going to transfer it up to XY, why not just upload it to Pokécheck in the process (preferrably while it is in 4th gen format, so people can then have it in 4th/5th/6th)? You wouldn't have to clone it yourself, and whoever wanted it could just download it from there with no real limit on the timeframe, even if you do transfer it up to XY afterwards.
  2. The fact that Serebii has the English Pokédex entries, which I think he said were extracted from the games when he added them to his Pokédex EDIT: I just remembered that Pokédex 3D Pro also has them, so that might be the actual source. Nevermind then.
  3. I'm not sure how it works regarding save file blocks, but when I made Pokégen complete my Pokédex, only the Japanese entries showed up for 494+. I know for a fact that BW2 have those, but I'm not sure they are actually available (they might be just hidden data). On a side note: how could the Japanese BW1 have the entries prior to the localization? Names would have leaked out, and they didn't.

    Pokedex

I just noticed a small issue: in BW2 Pokédex editing, languages aren't available from Victini onwards. This is correct for BW1, but BW2 has that feature, so I think it should be editable.
  5. And, as such, I should edit 0x19404 and 0x45404? EDIT: Nevermind, found it. Thanks for all the help.
  6. Thanks for all the help, but it's still not working. I looked up a katakana - hex chart, which indicated my name would correspond to 30B8 30E7 30BC. What I found at 0x19404 was this: B830 E730 BC30. Since I wanted to change the last charatcter to 30FC, I changed the BC30 to FC30, as it seemed that the bytes would only be switched. However, when I loaded my save with Pokégen, in order to test it, and used "Load from Save File" to fix my Pokémon, my name remained ジョゼ, instead of changing into ジョー. Any clue of what I might be doing wrong?
  7. That does sound plausible. However, my name is written in katakana, which obviously does not show up in Unicode. How do I know what to search for?... ジョゼ to be exact.
  8. I think the dialog box is just fine, in terms of format. However, Rival's name, money and play time might be useful as well. While I'm at it, a nice feature that a certain previous competitor had was the possibility to add 995 of all items in a certain category. That could save a lot of work in item editing. And I hadn't said it before: thanks for all the work, Pokégen is amazingly better than Pokésav in the features it already has.
  9. Trainer information editing would be great. In fact, I am in desperate need of it right now (I even posted on the Save Editing help forum for how to do it in BW2, as I am unaware of any way to do so)
  10. Hi. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, or if it has been asked before (I couldn't find anything). Is there any way to edit your trainer name in BW2? I used Memory Link, and now it confuses me whenever a name shows up, as I don't know if it's referring to my current character or the previous game's one. I've tried Pokégen, but I can't seem to find anything related, and I haven't seen any other Save Editing tools for this game yet. Am I stuck, or do you guys know of any other way? Thanks in advance
  11. This kind of program had been done before, right after the release of the JP version. Could you tell me the differences between the two?
  12. Is there such an app? If not, is it easy to make one? It's tiring to have to edit every single file manually with pokesav. I'm only mentioning the names as they're the obvious problem, but if there's anything else I might not be aware of, then it should also be included.
  13. Hey guys, I was wondering if we could try and put together a zip file with Eggs of every single unevolved pokemon (except unbreedable species of course). I will try and make as many as I can but I'd appreciate any possible help. Just for clarification, a Ranger Manaphy egg should also be included, and Gen V eggs should be in a separate file, since only people with B/W will have any use for them. Also, we should divide it by Generations so that people won't be taking care of the same pokemon unnecessarily. I'll start with Gen I, so if you want to help, please start with pokemon from another one.
  14. From a retail cart it's the hardest situation. If you don't have a flashcart you would have to buy an NDS Adaptor Plus to backup your save into your PC and later restore it. People talk about flashcarts a lot here (R4DS is just an example of those, as you seem to think they are two separate things) because since they deal with ROM's, they also generate a .sav file right next to it, like an emulator would, making it the easiest way to use Pokesav, and they also provide software tools to backup retail cart saves (although this doesn't work with some new games, like HG/SS). If you don't know what a flashcart is at all: put simply, it's a device that lets you play homemade programs or backed up commercial games in your actual DS.
  15. Is this possible? Pokesav doesn't do it and PPSE doesn't support HG/SS yet. I tried looking for his current name in a hex editor, but it must be compressed/encrypted somehow as it doesn't show up.
  16. To whom it may concern (I don't know who the developers for this are) Is support for HG/SS saves coming soon? And I noticed it doesn't support 1MB saves for Platinum, could you please add support for them?
  17. 2. Even if it's bred from a pair of pokesav'd pokes, the bred one will be 100% legal, with no chance for doubt
