I'm planning on updating sysnand manually to 9.2 via UpdateCDN (program that downloads and packages Nintendo updates from CDN servers into CIA so they can be installed to emunand/sysnand) and sysnand will be unaltered. (otherwise the 3DS wouldn't boot). So you're only half right. I had to sell my retail copy of Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Pokemon X to pay for getting my other 3DS unbricked. (but the guy failed, so I sold it to another guy who's better at doing NAND mods and he was able to unbrick it...should have sent it to him first, but couldn't afford to the first time around) So right now I don't have copies of the game that will work in unpatched sysnand. My 3DS XL is getting NAND modded so I can avoid possible bricks in the future.

Someone apparently was able to condense everything into the web browser payload and thus no files on SD card required: http://lunarcookies.github.io/upload.html Thread on GBATemp where this was originally posted: http://gbatemp.net/threads/custom-launcher-spider3dstools-released.379427/page-36#post-5354288 I currently lack the means of testing this myself as my 3DS XL has been sent off to get NAND modded. But it looks like it should work. It generates a QR code after you drag an ekx/ek6 file onto it and that points the browser to the custom payload it generates. The author of this might try and build in a converter to convert unencrypted PKX files into ekx serverside. If that happens, it will certainly make this easier to use for some people.

If you compiled the source code instead of downloading the older "pre-release" builds, then you need to change how you got the rom organized. You have to have an extracted folder called "exe". Ths is where ".code.bin" needs to go. Then a folder called "rom" (some have said that exefs and romfs now work as folder names, but have not built the latest source code to confirm that). Then point the editor to the "rom" folder. It should ask you to decompress the code.bin file and what game you are opening (ORAS or X/Y basically).

And now we sit back and watch as PowerSaves/CyberGadget slowly go out of business. :creep: Thanks for the hard work. Even if I can't use this, I would have if I didn't own a flashcart. (although this could be one way of converting the 6.x save encrypted saves into flashcart saves. But SaveDataFiler support is still being worked on. Hope that gets fixed soon. ) The vast majority of Pokemon players don't own one like me, so this definitely will help a ton of people. I can see this becoming a thing for other games too pretty soon.

Editing Trainer Card Info through Ram
Apache Thunder replied to piplupwater's topic in RAM - 3DS Help
Damn full on save dumping now. Screw SaveDataFiler and waiting for the new save encryption being supported by "certain" flashcarts out there from which I will not mention by name. The future is now and this is the one thing that will actually one up the current flashcarts out there as ya'll will lay claim to doing something they currently can not do. Extract decrypted saves on latest firmware/encryption keys. Thanks for all the innovations you have brought to us. -
(X/Y) KeySAV2 - Box/Battle Video Data Viewer
Apache Thunder replied to Kaphotics's topic in Saves - Tools
True but it has it's uses. Like cheat detection? I can't possibly think of them all, but being able to view the stats of pokemon that had been used in a battle could have some uses. Why else would KeySav2 exist in the first place? PKHeX has been around just as long and there was still a need for this one too. -
I don't see the issue there. ORAS and Pokemon X/Y after the 1.3 patch block hackmons from all forms of online battling. You won't be seeing huge power Slakings online anytime soon. Don't fret over that. Now a days, about all you can do is bring them into local battles. If you run into someone in a local battle with that, you always have the option of punching them in the face. (local battles require that the other user physically be near you for the battle)

The 1.2 (or 1.1 patch. Not sure which) removed that event from what I heard. If you still don't get the event for the item to activate (I'm guessing GameFreak plans to distribute this via wondercard/Mystery Gift instead) then you can boot the game with a blank SD card (or just uninstall the game patches via Data Management). Then boot the game without the game patches installed and put the Hoopa in your party and activate the event. Once you have the bottle, you can reinstall the game patches as I know myself that they do not remove the bottle after it's already in your item list.

(X/Y) KeySAV2 - Box/Battle Video Data Viewer
Apache Thunder replied to Kaphotics's topic in Saves - Tools
Any plans on a memory inject/dumper that can dump battle videos much like the pokemon injector that can dump pokemon? We already have access via SD card, but it could save a lot of folks the trouble of trying to decrypt them. -
tool SciresM's ORAS tools (RSWE/RSTE)
Apache Thunder replied to SciresM's topic in ROM - 3DS Research and Development
Hopefully the Randomizer will be tweaked to keep the DexNav from breaking. Little off topic, but really hoping that randomizer added to the Personal Editor eventually has an option of only randomizing abilities. The one in PK3DS (and I assume the standalone version if that's still being updated) only has the option of randomizing everything including typings. I'm not really going to do a full on ultimate randomizer, so it's the only reason I haven't randomized that part of the rom yet. -
tool Ohana3DS (BCH Tool) [Deprecated]
Apache Thunder replied to Reisyukaku's topic in ROM - 3DS Research and Development
I'm sure there's nothing wrong with it. But Avast just doesn't like you for some reason. It doesn't pop up an alart. It just auto deletes it if I try to extract it from the rar/zip file. (forget which you packed it in. ). Avast is annoying like that sometimes.- 288 replies

tool Ohana3DS (BCH Tool) [Deprecated]
Apache Thunder replied to Reisyukaku's topic in ROM - 3DS Research and Development
Seems like the current build is triggering my virus scanner as it auto deletes the file when I attempt to run it or extract it from the rar/zip file. Hopefully you can fix that maybe?- 288 replies

That's probably the result of a bad RSF file while rebuildng the rom. My rom has that issue to. But since the only thing I've done is randomize encounters and what not, I have no issues running it with the patch since the patch didn't overwrite that. Would be nice to see if there was a working RSF for this rom, but I'll just have to settle with what I have now. :
