  1. I still think it's buggy. I get errors when I tried to access certain text pages in the text editor. I restored a backup of my RomFS, because I honestly think it corrupted something. Also, I think the Personal editor really needs a randomizer for abilities. Combined with the wild encounter, trainer encounter editor, and the level up move editor, it's the only one that doesn't have a randomizer option at this point. Starter editor (if one is available) would also be a good addition to this.
  2. The text editor appears to be incomplete/buggy. I'd avoid it until it's finished/fixed.
  3. I'm not entirely sure if that's the correct way it's done. But here's a video from last year (This was before the 1.3 patch in Pokemon X/Y FYI): The thing that intrigued me at the time was the fact that "SleepyJirachi" apparently modified PkHeX so that he could use an Egg in battle. I'm not entirely sure how it's done, but it looks like something as simple as just setting "Egg" as the species while creating/editing a pokemon. It appears to have it's own set of stats and typing (apparently it's a normal type). What it's normal move set and ability is is unknown to me at this point as it's always seen with custom move sets from the few videos I've seen it used in. (I will attempt to add Egg as a wild pokemon encounter via RSWE after editing source code. I think I may have found how to do this. But won't know if it worked until I get my flashcart next week) Interestingly, The RSTE program (the version that has the randomization feature anyway) allows me to set "Egg" as one of the pokemon a trainer encounter will have. I find that kinda of odd... So my request is to add the ability to set "Egg" as the species while in illegal mode. There's really no harm in doing this at this point as X/Y and ORAS will not allow them to be used online anymore. Not even sure if Egg can be created like this in ORAS since SleepyJirachi has yet to show his special egg in ORAS. But X/Y definitely had this pokemon. (lol I wonder what egg group "egg" is in. ) Sure it's a novelty, but it would just be awesome as hell to bring an Egg to the Battle Maison or perhaps even bring it to a contest. Or something more insane....breeding Egg at the daycare. I've looked at the source code and am trying to do this myself, but the source code isn't yielding it's secrets and SleepyJirachi doesn't seem willing to give up his secrets just yet either. If it's decided this isn't a viable feature, could someone please PM me on details on how to add this myself? I'm sure SleepyJirachi isn't the only person who has done this. Perhaps was even done via manually editing the save file. Which if I know where to look, I can see this as a viable method for me to get what I want. I currently have Visual Studio 2010 Express downloading. I am to assume that's what I need to compile PkHeX as this program is mentioned in the the PkHeX.sln file and the readme.md file. If SleepyJirachi was able to do it, (whom I assume didn't have much C# experience either), then I'm pretty sure I can as well as long as I know where look.
  4. Any plans on editing level up movesets/abilities and/or evolution? This is pretty much the last step to a full randomizor (minus item encounters as there isn't a tool for editing those yet) should you also add support for that to this tool.
  5. I honestly forgot. It's been a few days since I got it. I've just been pulling things together in preparation for the flashcart I'm getting early next month. You'll have to wait till the SciresM answers you as I'm sure he's well aware of where the build is right now.
  6. I noticed that RSTE allows me to select "Egg" as one of the pokemon a trainer can have....What happens if I were to actually setup an Egg as one of the trainer's pokemon? Will it have valid moves? Does the randomizer function have Egg as one of the possible pokemon a trainer will have? I've been wanting to gen a "Egg" that can be usable in battle much like SleepyJirachi did in his YouTube videos. (the few times he had a chance to show it off before they blocked that stuff with the 1.3 patch in X/Y). All I know is that he likely used a modified version of PKHeX. Damn it. I want my own Egg I can throw into battle. Unfortunately the RSWE program doesn't appear to have "Egg" as a selectable pokemon to add to an area unlike with the RSTE program.... Currently I can't compile any source code of PKHeX because I don't have the filespace right now to install the program needed to compile it. Cause you know, typical bloat from Microsoft. Maybe we can convince Kaphotics to add it to the next build. (I'd imagine it would only be available in illegal mode. )
  7. Oh snap, I could have gotten it this whole time. GitHub is a bit confusing to use...
  8. Is there a compiled version of it? I'm getting a flashcart in January. Been wanting to do a randomzier of Omega Ruby.
  9. Nice to see that RSWE got a randomizer option. Now all we need is one for the trainer data and items and we're almost there!
  10. Has anyone attempted to move their base to the backdoor in the special Mossdeep house? It's normally reserved for devs and/or special events. But I bet some CyberGadget editing shenanigans can cause one to have their own base there instead. If someone does manage to do it, PM me the QR code to it. It would be badass to enter a secret base there that doesn't belong to a dev team member. Try to create the most glitched looking base you can while your at it.
  11. Now all this needs is a ramdomizer button and people can start doing randomizer locks now.
  12. There won't be one. Modifying save files of other games would require accessing the console's AES decryption system and I'm pretty sure that requires kernel access which the exploit does not have. Also this would require you to swap carts and since the homebrew channel is running off the Ninja Cube game, the 3DS will kill everything with an error if you eject the cart. So that's a no go. We haven't been able to use homebrew that involves cart swapping since the DS, since the DSi was the first to put a stop to that. And even if the exploit did allow this, we still don't have the firmware v6+ save game keys. The only reason it works on Gateway is because Gateway doesn't use the new keys. (try and play a game with the save created in Gateway on a console updated beyond 4.5 and you'll get a corrupt save game error) so that's why we are able to edit saves of games used on Gateway. Us post 4.5 fw console users are still limited to CyberGadget if we want true save game editing.
  13. I transferred my starter into X/Y and managed to get all my trainer info without issue. Though I'm a PowerSaves user so I can't actually change anything.
  14. Hovering over the PID doesn't give me the TSV unless I make the pokemon shiny or open an existing shiny. However, hovering over the SID will always give me the TSV. Thanks!
  15. So...Anyone currently working on this? It would be interesting to see what would happen if folks were able to edit the layouts of their Secret Bases directly using a save editor. Perhaps do some odd things like placing items in locations they can't be or rotating items that can't be rotated. I'm not sure what the limits are, but even perhaps do something even more far out and set a custom location for the secret base and have it be on a island or something. (I'm not talking about the location of the entrance. I'm talking about the actual "room" that the secret base uses. The game has specific rooms for that, but I bet if it's possible folks would do some crazy stuff and have their Secret Base be in a pokecenter or Steven's house. Or maybe even on a mirage spot? ) It would also be nice to have the Base PC moved to a custom location as the where ever the game decides to place it might not always be beneficial to the layout of the room it happens to be in. I understand why they won't let us move it though. it would create a situation where you could forever trap yourself in the base. But why not create some kind of system like with diving where pressing B brings you to the entrance or some key item they give you that acts like an escape rope, but for secret bases. They'd also have some means of teleporting you to the PC in the base (accessible only to the base's creator) incase you want to get to your PC, but have accidentally placed it in a area they can't get to. The QR Code system might also store the layout as well since how else will the user be able to access the Secret base if the creator isn't online at the time the QR code is scanned? So obviously the QR code system is probably going to use some kind of encryption/obfuscation so that would have to be cracked first. But it may be more fruitful editing it in the save file instead and then generating the QR code ingame. Just let the game handle that. Also, how is the pokemon the secret pals battle with determined? Is it just what they had in their party the last time they used GameSync or is that determined the moment they created their base? Is that also stored in the QR code? So many things to explore with this new game.
  16. How do you check the TSV in in PKHeX? I looked myself and didn't see it. I feel they need to add a proper field for it in the Trainer Info pane. I got all the other info that way.
  17. Oh wow, that's all I needed to do? I looked that the source code, but couldn't tell how it was intended to work.
  18. Any one know how to get PKHeX into "Illegal Mode"? I've seen a few mention it here. I looked around and someone mentioned a method that appears to require the use of Visual Studio 2013. Unfortunately because I'm running on a SSD, I can not install that due to limited free space. It might require recompiling the program with modified source code. If that is the case, can someone PM me a link to the modified EXE? It would be better to have a version with it perma-enabled then having to install a 5GB+ program just to launch it into this special mode. I have no means of actually getting the pokemon into the game. But I'm curious to know how the "Glitched" Egg was made that I've seen used in wifi battles on YouTube. (a notable YouTuber by the name of SleepyJirachi has an "Egg" that he can bring into battle). I want to try and figure out how that special egg was made. And I might in the future have a means of injecting it, so it would help if I knew how to get this "Illegal Mode" or had a version of this with it enabled.
