[REQUEST] Pokémon X save file for Citra

Citra has a compatibility list now in which Pokemon XY are listed as "Bad" ("Game functions, but with major graphical or audio glitches. Unable to progress in specific areas due to glitches even with workarounds."). So I'd say it's a bad idea trying to play through the games on Citra as you might encounter freezes everywhere. People should better play them on an actual 3DS. Or choose another game.... -
@SciresM has made some WC6 files for them Hacked Distribution Super Training Cards.zip This just reminds me, @theSLAYER since we have that faked Shiny Greninja WC7 in the Gallery now these Super Training WC6 can be uploaded as well. SM Demo Greninja.pk7

This QR code has already been leaked to the web. I found it via Google Images on a site where you can sell and buy stuff by searching "キミにきめたキャップ ピカチュウ". Such sites can be really helpful if people forgot to cover the code lol. It's probably the same for everyone though. Exactly that! This is pretty interesting. I have thought the game might see this as a Wonder QR Code (like if you scan a random QR where the game then just displays an out-of-dex Pokemon), because that's also the way how they handled Secret Base QRs. It was only mentioned in the footer of the forums main page like "Latest blog entry: <link to that>". There were like 5 entries iirc. It is definitely better to have it in the tabs right on top of the page.

You probably inserted the copied bytes to the offset I mentioned instead of replacing the bytes that were previously there. Mark 0x7E85C - 0x7E86D and then paste the copied bytes, so those that were previously there get overwritten. If you paste via the right click context menu in HxD you will have two pasting options. Paste write and paste insert. Paste write is what you need here.

The Ghost probably doesn't have a rear sprite but Marowak is just like any regular Marowak. What kind of difference? If you want to affect wild encounters like this one you have to use AR codes as PKHeX can't do that. In general I would say PKHeX is easier to use if you have access to your save file. With PKHeX you can edit multiple Pokemon at once and then just re-inject the edited save. With AR codes you have to reboot and activate a new code for each Pokemon as the number of code lines are limited. Also it's easier to mess things up by using codes. Boot up your game and wait until the GameFreak logo shows up. In v1.1 "presents" is written beneath it while in v1.0 it's missing. Or check Pidgey's Pokedex entry. In v1.0 it's species name is just "Tiny" instead of "Tiny Bird". You can do that but it's just the same as running away from Marowak. You have to defeat her to release her soul and get past. Maybe this was different in Gen 1/2 but I'm not sure about that.

Actually it is possible to force Marowak to be a catchable Pokemon. If you take a look at the script with a script editor like PKSV you will find these lines that initiate the battle: battle MAROWAK 30 NONE special BATTLE_UNCATCHABLE As you can see there's a special command that literally makes it uncatchable (iirc I've seen this command called BATTLE_GHOST somewhere else). In the ROM this special command is "25 56". This Marowak is a special encounter so I looked how other static encounters were initiated. Like Articuno: battle ARTICUNO 50 NONE ... special BATTLE_PIXELLATE BATTLE_PIXELLATE special command is "25 38" in the ROM. So I replaced the special from Marowak with the one of Articuno and I was able to actually catch her! You can't get past her though, the battle will just start again if you try. I think the game is waiting for the BATTLE_UNCATCHABLE command here... Here are some AR codes to modify the script. I haven't seen anything weird happening besides the fact that you can't get past her. Better keep a backup of your save and use at your own risk though! Well that's actually not a bad idea! But I'll keep Gastly for a while now. I have found the announcements in the web archives (Japan, Korea) (they really have a bad habbit there.....) but there are no traces of QR codes, not even on their websites. All the other regions got the links to these two teams. Since those codes are not locked to any region anyone could use them regardless. But still it seems weird if there's something that Japan didn't get.

Yeah, I got bored by the old image but didn't have a Mega Stone around. If you can't go up you have to go down. I think it's cool that they cared about matching colors though. I had rather expected them to be in normal Poke Balls. By the way an interesting fact is that the Japanese and Korean people didn't get any rental team QR codes for that Global Mission. I wonder why not.

At the moment you could only change that using an Hex Editor like HxD. To do so open your save file, go to offset 0x7E844 and copy the 18 (0x12) bytes from 0x7E844 - 0x7E855 over to offset 0x7E85C - 0x7E86D. After that you need to fix the checksum. Open your save in BW Tool again, open the Memory Link Editor and click Save and Exit. (The Update Checksums button in the main window doesn't take the DLC region into account.) @suloku In ML_Block2 TID (0x5C), SID (0x5E) and Name (0x60) needs to be set as well.

Emerald (US) AR v3/4 Re-Battle Steven at Meteor Falls FE4F78D8 441B3D3C E7358FD5 06F4B288 I don't think it's possible to reset the flags by AR codes, since those are stored as bits and AR codes can't handle single bits. But it is possible to use ROM patch codes to point the games script into another direction. This code changes a pointer so the game will always continue with the part of the script which leads to the battle. The flag which has to be reset is in save section 4 at 0xCD2 Bit 7 by the way.
