  1. I personally enjoy the GUI of pokegen. It is very simple and easy to understand. One of the best parts about it in my opinion. I often wonder what would happen if there was a way to send a Pokemon file from computer to gen 3. Only possible way of sending a file to the pokemon game (retail) from computer that I can think of would be to some how manipulate/make use of the Wireless Adapter included in Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen, but I doubt that will ever happen as it would be impossible to figure out.
  2. I highly recommend submitting this file to pokecheck.org It should tell you if it is a hack or not.
  3. I recommend looking up Action Replay codes on the codejunkies website. They should have a list of the games as well as the codes that can be implanted in them. If they don't have them and if PokeGen and PokeSav don't have them either, my guess is that they have not been created, at least not yet.
  4. If you can provide the model of Action Replay that you use, we may be able to help. I personally run the ARDSi and I now am successfully using it on Pokemon HeartGold. For example, I implanted the "Yellow Forest PokeWalker" Event as an AR code, and it worked like a charm. Edit: I recommend looking on Youtube for videos on how to help out if you are a visual learner such as myself. If not, you can always try good ol' trusty google.
  5. I for one agree. The driver free is by far the greatest thing I could ever want for something like this. I have a Windows 7 64-bit and I am great with routers, but that is all I know as far as computers go. Even though it may be more expensive, the SMS4 is great, especially since it now supports 3ds. Also, it can be used in ROMS, for those interested. Is it sad that I want to buy 10 of them to get the quantity discount? I am a college student with no job, so obviously money is a huge situation for me. $24 I can spend, $49 I cannot. Besides, I may know some people who would like to have this. It is a win-win in my opinion.
  6. Being a past PokeSav user myself, I came across many problems that frustrated me and this was one of them. However, PokeGen solved all the problems. Plus since the creation of PokeGen, I was told to use Pokesav only for editing Mystery Gifts. Now PokeGen can do that. It simply can't get any better. I highly recommend PokeGen. Although, it is always good to have a great anti-virus software too. I happen to have four: Avast (the best free anti-virus on the planet), Super Anti-Spyware (free), Malwarebytes (also free), and AVG 2012 (again, free). My computer is a Forretress (pokepun). I have had no computer problems ever since. Basically, get all of the above and you'll be good to go
  7. I am very interested in this app of yours. Any chance it might go public when finished? Roulette battling, in my opinion, is a great way to battle and learn more about different pokemon's battling capabilities. It also, as you said, makes the trainer make the best of the team, where a trainer's real skill comes into play. I believe a trainer should be able to figure out how to use pokemon in a team, even if they are not properly planned for competitive battling. Any good trainer can make a competitive team, but it takes a great trainer to make the best of what you have.
  8. I'm happy to know it works for you. It worked for me as well. Like you said, the app is absolutely amazing. However, the maker of this handy app has gone MIA, so it may very well never be updated again. Thankfully though, PokeGen features this into it with AR / Mystery Gift support for your save files too. It is a great alternative in my opinion. I highly recommend it.
  9. If it is so horrible, why does it work for so many people? Many would argue that it is a lifesaver. Plus if you don't like how it is not translated, not much we can do since this was originally NOT an English software. I think the people who worked hard on this did very well in bringing it to us who use the English language. It worked wonders for me. If you can't get the proper files, they have been uploaded by numerous people since MegaUpload was shut down.
  10. Hmm I don't know if this was needed, but I have the original English Translations of the following files: PokeCGear Pokeillustrated2 PokeItem2 PokeSkinED PokeTrainerS Enhanced PokeCGear Trainer Text by Kaphotics (not part of the software, but I thought I might as well add it) Here they are and I hope that they help! I also have the original PokeStock 2.4 BW if anyone needs it, the untranslated version of course. I also have a copy of the the PokeMain files, though I see those are already posted here. I don't know how I can upload files to internet seeing as that MegaUpload is down. PokeEdit Software.rar
  11. Good point. I'd honestly be happy with all the cool stuff you have for the pokemon already. I can definitely live without the contest stuff. Keep up the good work and good luck. You have the site's continued support and thanks!
  12. Didn't they also confirm them being released in North America in Fall this year too? Also, Pokemon Smash in Japan is suppose to release more info on the 15th or 18th of this month. This is going to be awesome.
  13. My guess is that Black/White Kyurem will definitely maintain its Ice/Dragon typing with the addition of moves from the respective Zekrom/Reshiram. My guess is that Black Kyurem can learn Fusion Bolt and White Kyurem can learn Fusion Flare. They are both of the original dragons' signature moves. So why not? Also, they don't call this a sequel for nothing, so I definitely think this will continue after the first Black / White. N left with his dragon, and Ghetsis was never caught. Sounds like it needs a continuation to me. The question is though, considering we can already catch Kyurem and Zekrom/Reshiram and all other Unova Pokemon as well as others from other regions, how will they continue it if we already have Zekrom/Reshiram and Kyurem? This may very well require a revamp in the story as well in the continuation.
  14. Just wait till the 15th or 18th of this month. Pokemon Smash is suppose to reveal more info about Pokemon Black 2/White 2. New Pokemon/alternate forms are suppose to be showed. And from what I heard, Reshiram and Zekrom are suppose to have alternate forms too. Though I'm uncertain if this is true or not. Only time will tell. But back to the topic. On the original Kyurem, he seems incomplete. On his right wing, you see that most of it is missing/broken off. However, on the alternate forms, that "missing/broken" part of the wing is attached with Zekrom/Reshiram respective wing. Although I still absolutely love the original, if I were to choose between the new forms, I'd say Black Kyurem in a heartbeat.
  15. I agree with this. I think the contest/ribbons are only useful if this software can be applied to Gen IV pokemon. If it is only for Gen V, I doubt there will be any need for it. This is looking very nice by the way and I can't wait to see its finished version. I'll be checking back for more updates.
  16. randomspot, you just made my day with that female DW Bagon :grog: Edit: Just saw the female DW Dratini. You went from awesome to King of Epicosity :G Edit: Your DW Marowak is a hack. DW cubone/marowak doesn't exist yet as far as I know
  17. Sadly once again my noobness astounds me. Not only did i find out this thread shouldn't be here but i also found the answer to my question. Please disregard this thread. I am deeply sorry to clutter this category with a pointless thread. If i knew how to delete it i would. But i assume only authority have that power. Once again very sorry for this.
  18. Very interesting.... After some more searching i found out a set of nearly flawless iv's to give a pokemon without making it illegal. So now i guess my question is this, how can i take apart the pid found in a pokegen PID (found with the PID finder) so i can change the sid, id, nature, gender, and ability to my liking and then make a new legal pid? this is almost asking how to make a pid in gen 4 from scratch, but i figured it would be easier to ask how to find these now that i found a good iv set for the pokemon i create. It sure is a lot easier making a pid in gen 5 than in gen 4 since gen 4 pid's have a relation to ivs as well. nintendo sure didn't think this through when they thought that getting rid of this relation to iv's in pid for gen 5 would make things more difficult to create legal pokemon in gen 5 lol also, would anyone happen to know which digits of the pid correspond the the various relations? (nature, gender, iv's, ability)
  19. Hello everyone. I've really enjoyed using this site as my number 1 resource for help on anything pertaining to pokemon. I also enjoyed the guide Acanto made for pokegening 5th gen pokemon. This made me wonder if there is a guide for making pokemon with pokegen for Gen 4 games? I understand there is a way to make them appear traded from gen 4 games to black/white, but i am curious as to how to make legal pokemon just for gen 4 games. I have searched everywhere on the forums for such a guide but have found none. I've been having problems especially with the PID generating for the pokemon. Unfortunately, the pid for gen 4 pokemon files are related to the trainer id and sid, pokemon's nature, iv's, shininess, and gender. I find it much more difficult to create pokemon for my HG than for my White. If anyone can help, i'd greatly appreciate it. Or if someone could post a link to something that may help me (which i may have overlooked), i'd be greatful as well. On a side note, Congrats project pokemon on your event gallery, this will help many people. **Note: i am not using these pokemon for random battles through wifi. I just want to have them for collection purposes or for friendly battles. I loath cheating with a burning passion and certainly don't want to cause any more trouble for people in random wifi battles who are just looking to have fair fun. Thanks in advance
  20. Deepest apologies. It appears i placed my thread in the wrong forums. Please disregard and sorry for the confusion.
  21. Thank you all very much. Your advice were very helpful. Cheers to you my friends :grog:
  22. Chat I had at Pokecheck.org Conri - hmmm. I hope I can still fix this because a friend was counting on me for this Aug 15, 01:24 Santos- Ummmm idk =Z Aug 15, 01:22 Conri - Thank you Santos, but I'm still curious about what makes it frowned upon: is it that it was bred from a hack or was it because its an English one bred from a Japanese dw eevee? Or perhaps both? Aug 15, 01:20 Santos- ur eevee its legit =) Nice job Aug 15, 01:12 Conri - Ah, so would it be better if I managed to breed a dw eevee from a legit japanese dw eevee? Or do you mean that breeding one yourself from a japanese one is looked down apon? I'll go ahead and remove it. Aug 15, 01:12 GaiaLT- Yeah I know it appears as legit. You can't tell the difference, but it's widely looked down upon. Kinda like RNGing on emulators. You can't tell, but ya know Aug 15, 01:08 Conri - I apologize if it is a hack. I was trying to help. Aug 15, 01:00 Conri - Really? Everything checks out. The eevee was hatched from a japanese dw eevee, but i shortly realized after I got it that it was a hack. So i bred with that eevee and got this one. You see, its possible to have one American if an american got a japanese one and then bred and egg. Plus everything checks out. How come its still a hack? Aug 15, 12:54 GaiaLT- Corni, actually many people do beleive it's still hacked. Sorry __________________________________________________ _________________________________ The above chat is one i had at pokecheck.org. You see, I acquired a DW eevee I got from this site, but then I was told by others that it was a hack. Before I knew it was a hack, I bred over 30 eevee's with a dw ability. However, today when I showed others one of the eevee's I bred with that hack, they all said it was a hack too. I understand that its ok to breed from a Japanese pokemon so you can have one yourself in your own language and country. But they all said that it is "frowned upon". Is it because it is bred from a hack? Or is it because it is bred from a Japanese pokemon not available in America and that I'm just taking the "easy" route just to get one myself? Or is it both? I'm so confused... Here is the hacked DW Japanese eevee I had (which I downloaded from the DW Pokemon Cafe thread on this site): DW Japanese Eevee -Also could you tell me what makes this hacked and if I can fix it? Also, I would really appreciate it if you could please show me where I can get a legit Japanese DW Eevee. Here is the DW american Eevee I bred: My DW American Eevee that I bred -Main problem Let me know what you guys think and thanks for the help in advance. EDIT: Solved
  23. Question moved to "Legality Question" Thread. Sorry I posted at the wrong place.
  24. Also be sure that pokemon ir-gts is allowed through your fire wall.
  25. You might want to be careful though. Fixing or adjusting .pkm files from in-game will make the illegal hacks. It is better to leave them alone and just make legal ones yourself.
