  2. Would speed come in handy on Tentacruel so it can set up Toxic Spikes (at least one layer)?
  3. I'll gladly give this thread a look when I get the chance later on today. To be honest, I don't know what I'm doing up at 3:43am.
  4. The funny thing is that I have never played any Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games before. I had no idea of any of that.
  5. I forgot all about Tentacruel and Dragonite. That is a powerful Dragonite. Would I be wrong in assuming this was its set? I saw three of its moves and watched its speed, so I'm guessing you made it specialize in speed and special attack with the added bonus of Life Orb. Plus I'm going on a limb here saying that the fourth move was Aqua Jet for rain and life orb boosted priority. Either that, or Surf or Roost. I don't think it would have Marvel Scale seeing as how it is a useless ability when sided with Life Orb. Dragonite (M) @ Life Orb Trait: Inner Focus EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Aqua Jet - Thunder - Hurricane - Outrage But back on topic, I highly recommend taking his advice on the Tentacruel. It is a far better alternative than Cloyster unless you are interested in the Ice Shard's priority, but Tentacruel has a lot more benefits to offer with the addition of Rapid Spin. I would try a set like this: Tentacruel (F) @ Toxic Orb Trait: Rain Dish EVs: 4 SAtk / 252 SDef / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Rapid Spin - Scald - Ice Beam - Sludge Bomb Rapid Spin to solve your problems, high bulk in Special Defense leaves no need to invest the nature benefit into Special Defense (unless you care more about the Special Defense, in which case I would recommend a Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)) so I go with a Timid (+Spd, -Atk). Scald is for great rain boosted stab with burn (30%) bonus. Ice Beam is for those pesky dragons so commonly found and may freeze opponents if you are lucky. Sludge Bomb is good for poison stab with 30% chance of poison. Although, I admit, this is a gimmicky set because I have no idea how well it works. I've seen Tentacruel used but I have never used it myself. Feel free to edit it or change it entirely if you like. Edit: Thank you wraith89 for monitoring this. You may not have battled in a while, but you still are more of an expert on team building than I am. I am sure you will be of more help to him than I have been.
  6. I know it is overkill, but I was previously hacked when a hacker found my IP Address via Pokemon Online. Hackers can become secret auth in Pokemon Online, thus giving them access to everyone's IP address. Lets just say that was an....unpleasant experience. I later found out he hacked me just because I was a friend of the owner of that server. Call me overprotective, but better safe than sorry I guess.

  8. Bug Dark Dragon Electric Fighting Fire Flying Ghost Grass Ground Ice Normal Poison Psychic Rock Steel Water Runner-Up As for where I got the animated Sprites... clicky
  9. <p><p><p><p><p><p>Replied on your Rain RMT with a recommended Rotom-W set. I personally use Cloyster as my Rapid Spinner for my team. Make sure it has high defense so it isn't crippled by Stealth Rock. Cloyster can have a maximum of 500 Defense without Shell Smashing or increasing its Defense with moves.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  10. No problem. I'm glad I could help. Remember, Cloyster can use Rapid Spin. I use a Rapid Spin on my own Cloyster in my Rain Team. It works like a charm. As a remedy for HP Fire on Rotom, you can always throw in HP Fighting since it is also super effective against Ferrothorn as well as Tyranitar, though not as powerful against him. Though it could prove beneficial against steels. However, I've always preferred the classic Scarf Trick set for Rotom-W myself. Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf Trait: Levitate EVs: I would test to see which ones work best for you. Start with 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP and work from there. Modest (+SAtk, -Atk) or Timid (+Spd, -Atk) Nature - Thunderbolt / Volt Switch (great for scouting plus STAB) - Hydro Pump - Will-O-Wisp - Trick

  12. <p><p><p><p><p><p>Commented again. I'm having a lot of fun speculating on Pokemon games for some reason.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  13. lol They may very well be trolling everyone. However, haven't you noticed that there is an ancient civilization spoken of in every region except Kanto and the spin-offs? Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova. Game Freak HAS to be going somewhere with all of this talk of ancient civilizations. Here is another thread on it where people speculated, only this time on ALL of the ancient civilizations: clicky I've always been fascinated in deciphering this info since Johto, however, the only ones I ever got around to were the Johto and Hoenn. These people filled in the gaps quite nicely. In Johto, there are those Ruins of Alph where the Unown lie hidden. In Hoenn, there are those that are underwater and also refer to the Regis as well as the ruins in the Sky Tower. In Sinnoh, there are also ruins referring to Arceus and the other legendaries. Now in Unova, you have these. If Game Freak was in fact trolling us, I believe it is safe to assume they would have dropped this topic quite a while ago. They are getting somewhere with it, this much is for sure. Also, the added versions of games (Crystal, Emerald, Platinum, and even HeartGold and SoulSilver) all expanded on these "ruins", "coded language", and "Ancient Civilization".
  14. This is very true. I forgot that Game Freak sometimes throw in super helpers in some Pokemon games, such as Lance Lance: "Dragonite use Hyper Beam!" *Dragonite's sprite moves and tackles Team Rocket* (so much for Hyper Beam?) lol anyways, I also can't help but wonder what happened to the people on the east side of Unova. Like you said, how the people managed to put up with this for that long is beyond me. What puzzles me, is how will Game Freak touch on the "Zekrom and Reshiram used to be the same Pokemon for the ONE Hero". They have failed to even say any more than this, and just left it in the open. However, there are those ruins underwater that have those hieroglyphics carved in the walls. Here is a great page on the Abyssal Ruins in Umbella Bay underwater: clicky. Not only this but there is that Ancient civilization spoken of so many times in Black and White, even on certain Pokemons' Pokedex entries. Could these be explained in the sequel? Or will they just be skipped and troll fans even more? Also, Pokemon Smash said that they'll release even more information on Black 2 / White 2 on May 15 like they did this month. I can't wait to see what they'll show. In before Troll Freak trolls fans..........again.
  15. <p><p><p><p><p><p>lol ok. Thanks.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  16. There is suppose to be an error code that pops up when you give a pokemon from your game to GTS to bring to your game. As for sending the GTS, it is possibly the following: -wifi issues (the GTS glitch cannot be used if your router is not connecting to the internet, even though the ds gets the pokemon from the computer rather than the acual gts server) -wrong Python version. It has to be version 2.7 if i remember correctly. if it closes, you need to shut off any communication software (i.e. Skype, MSN, any IMs, even software such as TeamViewer) I would check to see if the error comes up on the Nintendo Wifi website. It may just be a connection issue. If not and nothing comes up, then something is wrong with your downloads. Also, I highly recommend IR-GTS / IR-GTS BW. They are the software I just referred to. Since you tried so many software that did not work, I am pretty sure it is a connection problem. Also, type the proper DNS code the software gives you for both Primary DNS and Secondary DNS.
  17. My most memorable moment in Black and White was my first ever successful shiny RNG bred Pokemon. Ah, brought a tear to my eye.
  18. <p><p><p><p><p><p>I made a second theory on your news thread about Black 2 / White 2. Thoughts?</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  19. <p><p><p><p><p><p>Replied to your Rain RMT. Very very nice team in my opinion and well assembled except for a few minor things. I have a suggestion as well for your Cloyster / Starmie problem too.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  20. Politoed: I love this set. Though I don't really like to use Hypnosis due to risky accuracy. Rotom-W: I happen to use this set myself. Like you, I find it a huge asset in rain. Though I am curious why it has HP Fire when fire is weakened in rain, though I suppose it would still come in handy in other whether too. Ferrothorn: Great thinking in putting this in a rain team due to its weakness in fire. Toxicroak: The only thing I would change about this set would be its item. I would give it Black Sludge since it only heals poison types but damages other Pokemon that hold it. This may come in handy if someone tries to use Trick to try and cripple it with a choice item. Cloyster: I have great news my friend. Cloyster can actually learn Rapid spin. So you may not even need to change it to a Starmie. Gliscor: Perfect.
  21. My sincerest apologies for the misunderstanding.
  22. This is very true. Now it looks like we have to make out guesses on. It appears that half of Unova is completely covered in ice, as well as the town you start in Black and White. You are a completely different trainer in the previously inaccessible western part of the Unova region, set 2 years after the original. What's more, there are new gym leaders throughout Unova. Unova in Black and White: Unova 2 Years later in Black 2 and White 2 New Character to Choose From New Rival New Gym Leaders, Featuring Homika (Poison) and Shizui (Water) Mysterious Akuroma Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 Official Japanese Trailer Now for my new Hypothesis on the plot theory of Black 2 / White 2 (ASSUMING STORY REVAMP) You are a new trainer (who in my opinion happens to look alot like the two trainers you start off with in Black and White but whatever) with a new childhood rival. Game Freak can never seem to have a pokemon game without a childhood rival for the most part. Implying this is two years after original Black and White, I assume they will keep the original trainer and N as the two Heroes for Zekrom and Reshiram, who should play a role in this plot line. Perhaps something like Red did for gold and silver. Ghetsis, I would hope, plays a role in this as well since he was never caught. All the Team gangs in previous Pokemon games have all finished and split up one way or another. Ghetsis was behind the making of Team Plasma to use N as a means to accomplish his evil plans, till they backfired of course. Now he is MIA, waiting to be caught. Now for Kyurem. Obviously you were able to catch it in Black and White, but seeing as how it is the main legendary Pokemon in this game, I assume they are revamping it to where it was never caught, but rather waited for some unknown reason to emerge, which leads me to my next theory: the ice-covered Unova. It appears that Unova has hit its own ice age. This may very well be due to the roaming of Kyurem, possibly in its new form. It has the most powerful ice move in its arsenal. This move, Freeze Burn/Freeze Bolt, may be its move that it used to do this on Unova. Perhaps it may have been Glaciate, as we saw how well it covered the crater in Black and White in snow. New Gym Leaders are here. In black and white, the gym leaders formed an alliance and helped defeat Team Plasma. Either they left for some reason regarding Team Plasma, be it searching for Ghetsis or whatever, or left for another reason. THEN AGAIN, we may only have a few of the gym leaders replaced, not all. Basically though, I haven't got the slightest clue why they would change gym leaders. Last but not least, the mysterious Akuroma. He is very mysterious, seeing as how hardly any information, if any, was given about him. My guess is that he is a new leader of Team Plasma or a new Team. He should be playing a role similar to that of N. Anyways, that is my two cents on the matter. You can point out your theories as was the point of this thread and NOT criticize, at least without good evidence to back you up. Also, any and all theories may be tossed out the window regardless what any of us guess. It wouldn't be the first time Game Freak (or as I refer to them as like many others, Troll Freak) trolled us....
  23. I must have been of the hundreds curious about this thread because of the title.
  24. Like Guested said, I would continue the progress in your game so you can know for sure. That would narrow down the possibilities behind the issue.
  25. I would think that since you successfully received Arcues, you would be able to get Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina since all four are from the same region. If you can successfully get access to GTS, you can get them all. Since this is just for your HeartGold game, be sure you keep the data on PokeGen set to HeartGold on all of them like you did with Arcues then you should be good to go.
