  1. Probably obvious, but DW.exe is still working fine after Gen 5 DW came back up.
  2. Nintendo doesn't care about hacking but about piracy. Preventing hacking in a game is just a side effect. There is absolutely nothing to be upset about with Bank. It is $5 a year and if that's too much, you probably shouldn't have purchased a $130-200 console and $40 game. And there's a 1 month free trial.
  3. Pokemon XY isn't specifically doing anything. The 3DS was made to be harder to hack to prevent piracy. It meaning AR use is harder, if not impossible, is a fringe benefit. Nintendo saw the power of the PSP but that in its initial version, it was laughably easy to hack. Sega Dreamcast was a system ahead of its time but it was so easy to steal games for it and that is partially why the console failed.
  4. This is not a thread to ask why your hacked Pokemon show up as hacked. Your Pokemon isn't received by the Day-Care Couple and it has no date. Therefore, it is hacked.
  5. To the best of my knowledge, we don't actually know if they'll be using system FC or game FC. Best to wait until confirmation is given before making a topic. VVVV Well in that case...
  6. I've told you to stop trolling the forums and getting someone to remove ribbons for you just so you can get your hacked Pokemon to be traded on the GTS.
  7. Why would you pay full price for a digital download of something you're "unsure" of buying???? I'm not complaining about Smash. I'm just pointing out that those poo-pooing the handheld version are just being console warriors. It makes tons of sense to put out a handheld version since 27 million more people own the handheld compared to the home console.
  8. There is no reason to remove ribbons other than to dump off hacked Pokemon onto unsuspecting people via GTS. Thread closed.
  9. You can also search on Pokecheck.org and search by OT/ID, etc... and compare with their Legality analyses. If you want a legit anything, you need to go to the event and get it yourself. The best you can get after the event is to insure it is legal.
  10. Question has been answered. Only real differences we know of are version exclusives. You don't need The Internet to tell you which Pokemon you like more.
  11. There are already guides on how to use PokeGen. Since you aren't asking specific questions, I'm closing this thread. You would do better to download PokeGen, attempt to create, and then ask us specific questions about what you need help with. Here is the request thread if you want someone to make you a pkm file. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?15403-General-Pokemon-Request-Thread-Revenge-of-the-Fallen You can also go to Pokecheck.org and obtain legal pkm files and then modify them however you wish. Feel free to re-post once you have very specific questions on what exactly you need help with. Also, there is no Pokemon Smearl Version.
  12. No legality analysis is ever going to be complete. You are free to use whatever you want. Pokecheck has some advantages such as it being online and you can check your real Pokemon from your real game cart without having to use outside devices such as flash carts.
  13. There is no legality check for Wi-Fi battles. Please do not ask for hacking assistance to circumvent legality checks on GTS, Random Match, Battle Videos. Closed.
  14. Currentlly there's 3.6 million consoles shipped with god only knows how many sitting in Nintendo warehouses. It matters because when the install base is so low, people aren't necessarily going to buy a system for one game. There's 30+ million 3ds owners and literally 10% of that of Wii U owners. There's a shitton of people who own a 3DS and not a Wii U. So a (good) 3DS port is going to give them a good game, why would they buy a Wii U? What I'm saying is releasing for the 3DS is a smart move. I never mentioned releasing on the Wii or DS so I don't know what you're talking about. I don't really see what is so hard about having online tournaments. Sony and Microsoft have been doing it for ages. We even had Pokemon online tournaments officially organized by Nintendo that counted to VGC. I know Smash is a game you play with people, but there's no reason you can't both have a viable person-to-person multi-player game AND a good online setup too. There's certainly advantages to Smash on Wii U, I'll grant you that. But my only point is the U has horrible sales and I really don't know if the whole "people will buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games" logic will continue to own up. Again, there's 27 million more people with a 3DS. Why in the world would they buy a $250 console and a $60 game when they could buy one $40 game?
  15. I've forwarded this thread to an Admin. Hopefully he can respond with some insight to your problems.
  16. There is no "glitched game". Game carts are manufactured en masse and you won't have a defect on 5 carts or whatever. And no, DO NOT BLINDLY ORDER FROM AMAZON. Amazon no longer has a stock. It is all private sellers on Amazon. Make sure they have a solid return policy before ordering online
  17. Find__Taab is completely off base about Wii U. That console has been spectacularly failing worldwide. It's been out for a year with few games people actually want to play, has only comparable graphics to current gen gaming, and lots of people think it is just some sort of Wii add on. And on top of that, it is going up against PS4/XBone in December and will likely get clobbered. There's 30+million 3DS owners out there and that's a good incentive for them to start releasing good ports to the 3DS. I'll wait and see with Smash. If it doesn't play well on the handheld, I won't buy it.
  18. Transfer won't work without Bank because Gen 5 Pokemon get transferred TO Bank. It is impossible for DS and 3DS games to communicate, hence the need for external apps to ensure compatibility.
  19. ^^^^ Spoken like someone who has no clue about bootlegging. As others have said, you probably have a bootleg. People often mix up bootlegs with fan-made hack games and assume any bootlegged Pokemon game is one of those. What it often means is that a bootlegger somewhere in Asia or Africa produced a game cart with the actual Pokemon game on it. For the most part, it should function just fine within (in your case) a GBA or DS GBA slot just like a normal game. The main exceptions are in terms of interacting with other games and lifespan of the cart. Bootlegged games have varying degrees of success of being able to battle/trade or transfer from 3->4, but most of them won't be able to at all. Also the carts tend to wear out as yours seems to be doing now. The only 100% surefire way to never get a bootlegged Pokemon game is to purchase it yourself from traditional retailers, preferably at their physical retail store. Do not assume that just because it is a big chain, it wouldn't have bootlegged games. I've purchased bootlegged vinyl records from major chains before and have found bootlegged GBA Pokemon games at pawn shops and Game Stop's used games section. At least with major retailers, you'll be able to return for a refund. My guess is that your non-gaming parent or aunt or whatever went to a Gamestop and purchased a used copy because it was $5-10 less than the new and that's how you got a bootleg. Since it has probably been several years since purchasing it, you have no real chance of returning it. You can probably do a Google search to verify this. I believe GameFAQs has guides in their GBA section on how to detect bootleggs, and I'm sure other sites do too.
  20. Stop hacking and go capture them in one of the numerous games those Pokemon are featured in.
  21. If you post Pokecheck links to your Pokemon, that would help.
  22. I haven't actually looked at anything besides a few promotional videos so I wanna be mostly surprised by them. I hate the knee-jerk reaction of "this sucks/doesn't look good" because no one has played the game yet and that's the method in which we fall in love with a Pokemon or get annoyed with a Pokemon. anyway, Pokemon's like central premise for older players is profiting off of nostalgia. HGSS were released even though all 99 Johto Pokemon were available before the re-makes, for example.
  23. Yeah, it looks ugly and all. But a $40 price drop with the only real sacrifice being a feature that almost everyone recognized as a dumb gimmick can push a lot of people into buying it for their kids. Personally I'd rather play a 2DS than the 3DS. But the 3DS XL is honestly just perfect for my hands while the DSiXL was way too bulky. I probably won't get one unless they come up with a packaging with X/Y. I also think it is interesting there is no JP release for it.
  24. I don't think any of the shiny events have ever had pre-set IVs, though they've all in recent memory had pre-set natures.
  25. This forum and site are primarily dedicated to game research. I know there's a handful of sites dedicated to Pokemon merch (mostly the importing and selling of such) as well as a few collectors on larger forums like Serebii's. Your best bet is to check there and ask around. No one here that I know of does anything more than by the occasional plush or whatnot.
