  1. By what means did you set the attack? Was it typed in or selected? If it was typed in, did you do it in all lowercase characters? If it was all lowercase, did it automatically get capitalized upon completing the word? I'm aware of this one already. It'll be fixed in the next release. I've tried to get this one to happen for me, but have failed so far. This video may help though, I haven't tried redoing your exact steps. Also, call me easily amused, but when you were right clicking repeatedly toward the end, I couldn't help laughing a little. Anyway, thanks for the report, and especially the video. The detail is very helpful. Edit: Could you upload the save file you used in the video? Even if it's been altered since then. I have a feeling there may be something specific to what's being loaded that's causing the problem, as it's still not happening for me with your exact steps. Edit2: Try reproducing the crash problem with the "Automatically update Pokedex" option disabled. I've found a buffer error with that, as it was never updated with the Black/White changes. It could very well be causing a crash.
  2. If it shows "apparently", they don't all match. It's that simple. You have the trainer name wrong most likely. The raw data must be identical.
  3. It looks like they removed the "form" from Black/White. As for the balls, they're available, but the current beta has them missing unintentionally.
  4. It'd be so much easier for you to simply test out various things yourself. Try different combinations of things and check the resulting .pkm file. Cerulean Cave is a valid location in HG/SS without using "Faraway Place", so no, it won't automatically set the location to "Faraway Place". There's no way to set a Pokemon as having been caught in a generation 2 or 3 game, if that's what you intended to ask.
  5. This is on the list of things to... but I have no idea when I'll ever get to working on that list.
  6. I'm going to make this perfectly clear, since you don't seem to have grasped it yet. You can make suggestions. You can give opinions. These things are fine. When you start doing what you're doing, trying to force changes that suit your personal preferences, it becomes nothing but irritating and makes me not even want to respond to you. I'm aware there are issues with it at the moment. So that it then becomes unintuitive... that's not happening.
  7. It's not just the IDs that affect whether or not a Pokemon is seen as traded. The trainer name must be identical, the trainer gender must match, and both IDs must match.
  8. "<=" and ">=" don't imply "this also causes IVs to not wrap around to 0 or 31". I don't know what you're asking. There needs to be remembering of more than just this. It's planned. Tab. That's pretty ridiculous laziness, but this isn't hard to add. I'm not promising something though. Nicknames shorter than 11 characters are padded identically to the game, as has been described multiple times in multiple places. What's the point...? Just set extremely specific search parameters? This is already in place. It just doesn't force Windows to assign these files to itself. You have to do it. That's not a bug, it was never coded to do so. The species, as the tooltip says, is only there to determine gender, so it's fairly stupid to set it in the main dialog when clicking OK. This question is answered within the program.
  9. It doesn't say that because it's not coded to say that. Providing the exact message (there's no reason not to) will get you some answers.
  10. I don't know what the user might be doing at one time. Sure, they may be searching for a set of IVs for specific Hidden Power criteria, but that doesn't mean they won't change their minds and start fiddling with the IVs manually. I think you're just wanting it too precisely catered to how you do things. I'm not going to change this, at least not any time soon, so there's no point in trying to argue an opinion. This is doable, but will probably require a slight redesign of the dialog, so don't expect it in the near future. This is a known bug that's fixed in the next beta.
  11. The location value should be working for it, but the ball is set to 255, which is invalid. I don't have time right now, but I'll look at the location part later.
  12. That's less intuitive in my opinion. It doesn't have a database of locations for specific species and games. You set the location and ball yourself, but based on the game and that location, it'll set everything appropriately. (Assuming something isn't coded wrong.) Can you provide a download link to your save file?
  13. Then how does someone know what the Hidden Power type is for IVs when they're manually changing them?
  14. I knew about this already, but I'd imagine everyone that's using Linux knows about Wine and knows to try it. The reason it does that is because there's nowhere else to display what Hidden Power type/power the IVs you set reflect. I agree it's a little awkward, but I'd rather not have two places that the Hidden Power is displayed in that small dialog. Well, this was useful in reminding me that the Hidden Power type isn't being initialized properly. Also, ew, wtf is with that pointless thick border at the bottom of windows?
  15. Like is mentioned in the first post, translation is being set aside for the moment. I'll send you a forum PM whenever it's ready to be started again, so check back from time to time if you really want to do it.
  16. It's not "installed", and you must've had an older version. Edit: Regarding the Dream Ball (and balls in general), the full list actually wasn't being displayed as it should've been. (This includes the Dream Ball.) I thought I had just left it out for the reason I mentioned, but that wasn't the case. This is fixed in beta 13.
  17. It's supposed to, and is for me... There have been reports of it not using the right values at the moment though. I just tried it on beta 12 and it's fine. The game gives an error message if you don't set the Pokemon as being met as an egg, however.
  18. It hasn't been added, as we don't yet know if this is how Pokemon data actually gets set.
  19. Desmume does work, it's what I use for all my testing. If a question gets skipped, it's either because I missed it, forgot about it, or the question is so obvious that it shouldn't have been asked. (Oh, and if you're not using beta 12, and you're playing Black, the codes won't work, as they were all designed for White at that time.)
  20. Pointing out that you saved the save file was helpful. I managed to crash it as well doing this. I'll fix it for the next release, thanks.
  21. It sounds like some sort of memory leak type problem, but if it is, it's incredibly small so that it's hard to even notice. I'll look around when I get a chance.
  22. I'm seeing this as well, I'll add it to the list. I'll check on it. ...what? What operating system are you on? Does this happen after a fresh start of the program? How many clicks does it take? I just tried it and can't produce this problem. I'm not sure I ever coded it to set anything but the IVs. Thanks. Typoes aren't a problem, I've read much, much worse. I haven't looked into it yet, but it's on the list. I've been quite busy.
  23. Have you seen a Pokemon caught with this ball that has data that says it was caught with that ball and not a Pokeball? I haven't. Are you talking about using the character map that has yet to be updated?
  24. I'll check on it again, but which version are you using?
