  1. So, I was wondering what would happen if you get a Pokemon from a gen II then transferred it to a gen I game then again transferred it to a gen VII game. Will it display (on the gen VII game) as met in the Kanto or the Johto region? The reason why I am asking this question is because I was wondering if it's possible to get a Mr. Mime to display as met in the Kanto region, without the "silly" nickname, as you can only get Mr. Mime from the gen I games from an in-game trade; while, you can catch Mr. Mime in the wild in the gen II games. So, if I want to get a Mr. Mime to display as met in the Kanto region, will this method work? I've tested this on PKHex where I generated a Mr Mime without a nickname (with its hidden ability), met in a gen I game and it doesn't seem to detect any problems; however, I am unsure if this is considered "legal".

  2. Virtual Console. Virtual Console games are a bunch of older games for older consoles re-released to be playable on the 3DS. (Game Boy games, Game Boy Advance games, N64 games, etc) In the context of our forums, when we refer to VC saves, we normally mean Gen 1 or Gen 2 Pokémon games. Yes, the 3DS can play Pokémon Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Gold, Silver, Crystal. And an additional tidbit: the mons can be transferred up to Generation 7 and up. The saves of those games are have the same data structures as their retail counterpart, hence why PKHeX needs to check the save name to ensure it has the correct legality checks.

  4. The filename of your save doesn't really matter if it is not for the 3DS Pokemon games or meant to be used on emulators.

This is a Wild Area event held by Sword and Shield. With this event, you get a chance to encounter Giganantamax Venusaur; and with 5-stars raids, you get a chance to land on a 2% guaranteed Shiny Politoed slot. The theme of this raid focuses on frogs. To import these files into your save, use PKHeX's block importing function. Our tutorial should guide you through it. Our first post of this page contains some data relevant to the importing stage. There's info and some common questions regarding Wild Area Events here. To see other Wild Area Events, here.

  6. You are correct. If a Pokémon is traded from a gen 2 game to a gen 1 game it will display that the Pokémon was met in Kanto. This is due to gens 1 and 2 not having data for what game the Pokémon originated in. Lastly, the Pokémon will still be 100% legal since this can be done without glitches or hacking on native software.
