Hey everyone.

Attached are the Mews everyone is asking for.

Here are the seeds used to generate each batch:

The algorithm used is the same as any other event pokemon. Specifically though, there are 5 mews generated in order from each of those batch seeds. That means after the first mew is created, the next one uses the next call in the PRNG. I'll leave the rest for you guys to figure out! A good shortcut for anyone trying to replace pokecheck or my own legality checks would be to simply have all 420 of the PID/IV combinations.

Thank you very much! Now to see about converting them to .3gpkm.

EDIT: I tried opening Mew #2 in Pokegen and it said the file was unsupported. I also notice that Windows says it was modified May 12 (yesterday at the time of this message) while the others say June 23, 2013. What happened with it?

EDIT 2: Tried Pokesav Platinum, same deal.

They all say June 26 2013 to me. If one says May 12th 2016, it means it got somehow corrupted or otherwise modified on your end. Try re-downloading.

Guess something went wrong when I extracted it. Re-downloaded the whole zip and it's fine now.

About gen 3 conversion: is there some legality thing preventing getting the PID+IV from gen 4 files and setting them to a gen 3 MSTERY mew? Would that make the MSTERY MEW legal for gen 3 and is a valid way to convert this gen 4 files to gen 3? As long as a legit MSTERY mew is used as basis, the only difference between the mews should be PID and IVs right?

Also, I checked a gen 3 save with 4 MSTERY mews and I was shocked as I saw that they had friendship values between 80-90 (80, 82, 83, 86). I though base friendship for mew was 100, and since those event were traded, wouldn't MSTERY mew need to have friendship set at 100?

I just traded the MYSTRY Mew I got at the event to my LeafGreen, boxed it, backed up the save and looked at it in A-Save. Its friendship value is 70, so I don't know what's going on there.

Friendship in Generation III works similarly to Generation II but with two additional mechanics to boost it. If a Pokémon is caught in a Luxury Ball or is holding a Soothe Bell, all friendship-raising events will increase the Pokémon's friendship value by an extra point; friendship-lowering events are not affected. These effects stack on each other, meaning a Pokémon in a Luxury Ball holding a Soothe Bell increases the value by two points.

Pokémon now have a base friendship per species, although most catchable Pokémon have the standard value of 70 as their starting level.

Mew's base friendship should have been 100.

OR maybe it was 70 in certain Gen III games?

edit

A Pokémon's friendship will also be set to 70 if it is traded, regardless of the base friendship for its species

Sorry for asking this silly question but, how can i use the seeds that you've provided to generate more batches with PokeGen on D/P/Pt/HG/SS?

There's only 420 different ones. The gen 4 pkms are uploaded in the first post.

I always wondered how the batch seeds were created. They are obviously the output of another algorithm or random generator. I remember looking into it and not finding much, but I didn't have a program with all 8 algorithms on it ;)

If anyone wants the original 420 3gpkm files, I'll try and find some time to extract them. Keep in mind that they will not look like they were traded.

If they're extracted from an original event save (or saves if multiple ones are needed), it shouldn't matter.

I have a question about the Mews.

I ran them all through Legal.exe, and it seems that it follows a pattern where the first one is B-A-C-D ®, then the next four are B-A-C-D (U), then the 6th one is Restricted, then the next 4 are Unrestricted, and so on.

I was wondering how that works. I see there are 84 different seeds used for generating each batch, 420 Mews = 84 batches of 5 Mews, which sounds about right. But why does the first one of each batch get a Restricted PID, while the other four get Unrestricted? I mean, technically-speaking.

So, I was cecking the data in the public gen 3 ones (there's 3 MYSTRY mews that I know of that are available to everybody, the savefile has 4, but two are the same mew) and noticed that the Nickname bytes have trash (?) data.

For example, the nickname data for gen 3 pkm files:

Mew #49: C7 BF D1 FF 16 00 00 00 48 7E

Mew #53: C7 BF D1 FF 28 00 00 00 48 7E

So, I wonder what is that data doing there and why is it different for each mew? (apparently)

I don't know the innerworks of the algoryhtm, but I can't think why would that data be there... Unless the same memory regions is used to store different values while generating the pokemons and that trash data is a remnant from it.
