epicNeo Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Kanto = Happy! But why wouldn't it have been there in the first place?
Fallen Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Kanto = Happy! But why wouldn't it have been there in the first place? Good question. Nintendo has done more retarded things before though, so you never know.
DanteKoriyu Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 What do you mean, Kanto again? -.- Kanto, despite being watered down, was the best part of GSC. I liked seeing what everything had become 3 years later. Its not like we get full continuity very often in Pokemon games. Even though all versions can be connected via some sort of trading or pal parking, we never know what happens after the events we trigger in the version we are playing. As for Kanto's inclusion, there were a lot of people complaining that there wouldn't be enough space or that they would stick with the current standard of 1 region per cart. They didn't seem to understand that a remake would feature everything the original did (within reason).
chattux Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Is the yellow forest that place on the new johto map behind Ecruteak
DanteKoriyu Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 The Yellow Forest has NOTHING to do with HGSS's main game. It is a course for the Pokewalker like the Edge of the Night Sky course that Jirachi unlocks, only you aren't given a Pokemon to unlock the course this time, you are given the course to capture the special Pokemon.
Mewtwo Ex Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 The first thing i will do is try to use a walk through walls to get as soon as possible to Cerulean Cave, to see if it is accessible.
DanteKoriyu Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 And what if it doesn't open up until something in the game triggers it? Similar to how you can't get to the Hall of Origin, or how the Regi's caves don't have Regis in them without the Gigias?
Mewtwo Ex Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 That does sound plausible. The Rayquaza event is probably going to be something like: You have obtained Groudon and Kyogre and reseave a message by Elm about a green flying serpent with similar markings like the two you have. Maybe you should check them out.
InuYouki Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Either way I am excited. HG/SS with out Kanto just wouldn't have been the same. But to be honest I would have been MORE surprised if they hadn't included Kanto.
Okami Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Yay! I miss Kanto so much... <--- Should have bought FR/LG
Mewtwo Ex Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I am pretty sure that the secret move will be FLY. There is a flying Pikachu in the picture:
derrick Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 awsome!!! iam geting money together as i speak i will not wait for its release in america iam deffently importing it(thank goodness for ebay!) seeing that kanto is confirmed to be in the game i can see a mew or mewtwo event over the horison! hey was the latias and latios thang confirmed two? and did they actuly say the pikachu in the new course was captureable?
Mewtwo Ex Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 ... You should read the old posts also. The Pikachu are catchable and tradeble if you did not know now you know. The Lati as far as i know is not true, but i could be wrong. I don't see a Mew type based events. As much as i wish i do not think there will be...
InuYouki Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 The idea of flying pika's would be something we should chat about on the speculation thread MewtwoEx! I tell you what I think there!
Mewtwo Ex Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Given the fact that it will be just Pikachu what i post about found that it is not that off topic.
Miles Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Oh yeah! Finally a game that containes two regions... on DS! These sure sound like promising games, especially now, with Kanto. (I was hoping for Kanto because I wanted to hear the most epic nintendo-created battle remix now re-remixed... [this one -> ])...I don't see a Mew type based events. As much as i wish i do not think there will be... That's exactly what Nintendo did with the Arceus event in D/P/Pt, we MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE Nintendo makes a Mew event like the Arceus one, and that would mean there would be a new Pokémon movie containing Mew (again) or Wi-Fi event... Well enough speculation from me... Go Heartgold and Soulsilver! and propably something with Crystal, although I can't seem to find an appropriate title for it... I hope Nintendo does... lol ~Miles
d4rk_13l1t2er Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Well enough speculation from me...Go Heartgold and Soulsilver! and propably something with Crystal, although I can't seem to find an appropriate title for it... I hope Nintendo does... lol ~Miles What's left is Spirit, so it's Heart Gold, Soul Silver, and probably Spirit Crystal, but meh... Anyway back on topic, i kinda confused myself on all the regions on Pokemon games... So there are Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh? There are also Fiore and Almia.. And i used to swapped them one another lol...
codemonkey85 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 finally kanto is back "Finally", lol. Kanto has been "back" every generation thus far, the most recent incarnation being fall 2004 (USA). At this rate, I think it's safe to guess we'll be visiting Kanto in every generation.
DanteKoriyu Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Everything good sticks to its roots. =P As for coming up with a Crystal title, there is no need. There won't be a Crystal remake, the data for it isn't in DPPt like the Gold and Silver versions are. The HGSS remakes are just following the 2 game pattern that FRLG established.
