Bot NewsBot Posted July 30, 2009 Bot Posted July 30, 2009 (edited) Site: Project Pokémon`s Save Editor Posted on Jul 30th, 2009 06:16 PM by fenzo666 <p><a target="_blank" rel="lightbox" href="http://projectpokemon.org/images/ppse_pokedex.png"><img src="http://projectpokemon.org/images/ppse_pokedex-s.png" title="PPSE Pokédex" alt="PPSE Pokédex" style="border: 1px solid #369; margin: 0 0 0 1.5em; float: right; clear: right; color: #369; font-size: 90%;"></a>For about a month, the Project Pokémon development team has been hard at work developing a save editor; one that will make Pokesav obsolete. Since then, the project has come a long way. Project Pokémon`s Save Editor (PPSE) now has support for Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. In addition it offers editing support for Pokédex entries as well as the ability to rearrange and view your Party Pokémon and Storage Pokémon.</p><p><a target="_blank" rel="lightbox" href="http://projectpokemon.org/images/ppse_pokemon.png"><img src="http://projectpokemon.org/images/ppse_pokemon-s.png" title="PPSE Pokémon" alt="PPSE Pokémon" style="border: 1px solid #369; margin: 0 0 0 1.5em; float: right; clear: right; color: #369; font-size: 90%;"></a>PPSE offers all these features while maintaining a visually appealing user interface that is compatible with virtually any screen resolution. Finally, the development team, more specifically the main programmer Jiggy-Ninja, is proud to announce that the newest version of PPSE now includes AR code support for every single language of all fourth generation games! You can even choose which buttons you want to use to activate the AR code.</p><p>You can download PPSE by <a href="http://projectpokemon.org/editing/ppse.php" target="_blank">clicking here</a>. To use the program, you must exract all the files from the ZIP archive into the same folder and run PPSE.exe. Please post any bugs you find in the <a href="http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?p=42103" target="_blank">PPSE thread</a> with a detailed description of what exactly it was you did that led to the error.</p><p>Thanks for reading. You can expect to see Pokémon editing options soon for PPSE, so be sure to check back often!</p><p><strong>UPDATE:</strong> The contents of PPSE.zip have been replaced with a setup file that installs PPSE on your computer! That means all your SAV files will be automatically associated with PPSE after you install it.</p> Read Full Article... Edited July 31, 2009 by fenzo666
sephiroth Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I download and is a very good program but i have a question . I cant edit .pkm files why? is that normal?
Kaarosu Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 It's because it's not supported yet. Preferences to the features Pokesav lacked were given priority (Dex Editing and ARDS support) eventually it'll have .pkm editing support.
Jiggy-Ninja Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 It says (Not functional) right on the label. I didn't put that there for show or to trick people, that feature is currently under development.
Ken25 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 It's still in beta state soo we are going to test how it is to find unwanted bugs and glitches
fenzo666 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 <p><strong>UPDATE:</strong> The contents of PPSE.zip have been replaced with a setup file that installs PPSE on your computer! That means all your SAV files will be automatically associated with PPSE after you install it.</p>
Relyte Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Does that mean that we won't have to convert SAV files from a flashcard to see them on PPSE?
Doc Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 wow great work, i can finally complete my international national pokedex (lol), i wouldnt go so far as to say its gonna make pokesav obsolete though (unless they stop making it available), its geared up for people who use emulators or flash carts, thats just how things like this work, so those of us using retail carts are gonna find it a bit lacking in the AR code department at the moment and not being able to load our saves into it seriously hinders its usefulness, but i guess thats the same with pokesav. Conclusion - this is excellent but i need a flash cart...
tooklin999 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 i love it how you can get all the different languages however i only have the english game cart will there be an english ar code region setting or is there any way to change the code on the final XML to english region please help p.s is the pokedex codes just for flashcards or is it for the official game carts thnaks
Doc Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 the usa codes work with uk games, i already made the complete pokedex code for platinum using ppse and it worked perfectly. im also using a retail cart and AR.
chattux Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 the usa codes work with uk games, i already made the complete pokedex code for platinum using ppse and it worked perfectly. im also using a retail cart and AR. there is actually nothing different with the english and american games it still annoys me how the dont release them in the uk at the same time
evandixon Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Does that mean that we won't have to convert SAV files from a flashcard to see them on PPSE? No, it only means that any file with the *.sav extension will be assosiated with PPSE.
DanteKoriyu Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 there is actually nothing different with the english and american gamesit still annoys me how the dont release them in the uk at the same time The removal of the working slot machines in Platinum says otherwise. =P Granted that's something very minor, and probably shouldn't take more than a day to change, so there really is no excuse for the release difference. I personally would be complaining more about the time between the Japanese release and the US release. =P
tooklin999 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 thanks alot for the reply however when i tried it took away my pokedex of the menu but ill try again. p.s. works great thanks
Lady Aquarii Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Fuck yeah Seakip! Good job you guys! I know you've been working your asses of on this for a LONG time. *passes around strawberry lemonade*
Psycho K Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 I'm waiting for the Pokemon edit parts to be ready, but I'm happy to see this up. Great work and I can't wait to see this fully functional.
soulsilver Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 this save editor is great i love using it not to rush you but when can you get the edit function done keep up the good work
ninkin24 Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Is PPSE going to have support for .DUC files from ARDSME's?
d4rk_13l1t2er Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Is PPSE going to have support for .DUC files from ARDSME's? You could use this website to convert save files: http://shunyweb.info/convert.php# Or if PPSE can directly edit those other filetypes as well, that would be great ..
Juancho.hp Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Hi! Can I translate the PPSE from English to Spanish? Answer me please!. Thank you!
Jiggy-Ninja Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Hi! Can I translate the PPSE from English to Spanish? Answer me please!. Thank you! That would be fantastic if you could. I'll need to look up the best way to do that, and I'll get back to you. One of the advantages of Qt is that it has some built in ways of handling internationalization and translation, so there won't need to be multiple versions of PPSE in each language like there is with Pokesav.
Tomy Sakazaki Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Hi there, great work, but I could not use this with a retail cart save dump generated by Rudolph's NDS Backup Slot2 Tool (it dumps a 256kb save, prolly only the open save slot on cart). What type of save does the PPSE work at the moment? Thanks a lot =)
