https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6275916 Haley's Staravia was given out @lvl 23, level 2 versions are illegal.

(in case it gets deleted it's just a standard Haley's Staravia edited to be level 2)

EDIT: https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=1669062 HG/SS exclusive Egg moves on D/P/Pt breeds are illegal.

And something unrelated to the LA, somehow the nickname checker in Tools doesn't seem to be working with Japanese nicknames, https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6303744 was uploaded via GTS and was not censored, but putting the nickname into the checker results in a blocked message.

This is a minor issue, but I feel I should report it anyway:

https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=6400438

► Nickname: This event has a nickname (ID abuse or hacked).

The Kanto Starter Egg events give the pokemon as eggs, so the OT can just nickname them. Not sure if it's being flagged because it was RNG'd on another game to be shiny in my JP B2, then traded to my B2 to hatch or just nobody mentioned it before. Figured it wouldn't hurt to report it anyway.

Hi there! First time posting, and I wanted to start off by saying thanks for making this tool! =D

Since Gen 6 announced Mega Ampharos, I'm going to be transferring up my favorite Ampharos all the way back from Gen 3! However, my Ampharos has Reflect on it, which Ampharos wasn't allowed to have starting with Gen 5 due to an Egg Group change. Will this cause my Ampharos to appear on the legality tracker as hacked? (I don't plan on trading my Ampharos but this could pose a problem for someone in a similar situation.)

Thank you!

P.S. Before someone asks why I have to transfer an Ampharos from Gen 3 instead of just catching a new one, let me just say that I have a box and a half full of Ampharoses on my Heart Gold version each with unique nicknames. I'm kind of obsessed. =P

If it can learn the move in a previous generation, then it won't show up as being hacked as long as the Pokemon in question originates from that generation.

For example: https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=3483893

My Metagross has four moves it can only learn in Generation 3, but they all show up as valid, since they're possible moves on this particular Metagross.

Awesome! Thanks for the fast reply!

That's not a complaint; it's a report of an error in PokeCheck's legality analysis. The game considers it legal and PokeCheck does not.

I seem to be getting really weird and incorrect text from chaining on my English Pearl. (Though my friend is having the same issues with Platinum, which is why I checked all these to see if it was just her)

First up: Ralts I chained on the cartridge last year. If I recall correctly, I did not use any synchronizer as I was collecting them for that purpose.

https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6495482 (mentions required adamant synchronizer)

https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6495485 (Possible method J/K slots don't match encounter.)

https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6495486 (Required hardy synchronizer)

https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6495491 (Required Quirky synchronizer)

https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6495496 (Required Bashful synchronizer)

https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6495499 (Same chain, nothing shows up yellow)

Yesterday, I was chaining ditto on the ROM. They too had the synchronizer message, even though I was not using one.

https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6495519 (No yellow text)

https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6495513 (Required modest synchronizer)

https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6495506 (Required Impish synchronizer)

https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6495385 (Required Brave synchronizer)

https://www.pokecheck.org/?p=detail&uid=6495381 (Required Adamant synchronizer)

Strangely, the shiny ditto I caught from the chain also came out fine: https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=6495395

Pokecheck just checks for a bunch of encounter methods first, such as a normal encounter. When it finds a valid encounter, it stops and says what the possible encounter method is. There's no data stored to indicate the ingame method of encounter (like grass was a radar patch).

Using the Radar forces the game to skip the encounter slot test or whatever, so there's no need to worry.

Have some problems with my Squirtle.

He's LEGIT, breeded for HP Ground 70 and not RNG'd.

it seems legality checker doesnt recognize Route 3 as Location to receive Eggs but In Black2/White2 the location off a Egg received is Route 3, not Day Care Couple.

And with the location been Route 3, the egg move Water Spout appear hacked because for the Checker it's like I have catch this Squirtle at Route 3 instead of receive egg/hatch.

https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=6543038

I use to store my Pokes at pokecheck like a backup.

Help, please (:

Legality analysis is working as intended - it's recognizing your illegal Pokémon for what it is. Data doesn't lie.
