You can use trade bots to dump and trade you back modified files, but it's inadvisable to modify immutable values. Best is to hope that future games allow clearing/setting of all nicknames.

You need custom firmware to dump and import save files. Once you have your save, then you can try using PKHeX.

Recently came across Pkhex as a possible way to fix nicknames of home-origin mons. I have the original color magearna, problem is, the nickname it currently has, and unfortunate memories to that nickname, I've been meaning to use pkhex to fix that, however, i have no access to an emulator or rom. I've tried copying my save file from the switch SD card onto my pc, i'm not sure if i've done it right, i've got the file, but pkhex says it's too large, and if i'd manage to get it into the threshold, would i have to get it back to the original size it was originally in? If anyone has sources to help me with this, I'd greatly appreciate being directed towards them. I'm quite attached to the magearna, it took me a lot of work to get it, and i simply want to fix it's nickname, to reflect it's ribbon and title ("the cherished") to something more befitting

Yea, take a look for yourself. Just rename those files to wc9 and drag into PKHeX. If they are a Pokémon gift, they’ll load just fine. and as for why some of them aren’t there, not all gifts are permanently in the BCAT. Once the event expires, the team that manages BCAT may choose to remove them. And IIRC your device’s BCAT tends to sync with the server whenever you’re idle in your HOME screen connected to the network, or when you grab a new network gift, so your old archives would have been gone. bcat is just a download of all available gifts that can possibly be redeemed at a given moment in time; some may be obtainable only if you have a valid serial code, or others may be inaccessible until a later reveal. Gifts that expire/ are no longer distributed... are no longer distributed in bcat, and are thus removed from your local storage. Hence why there's the need to archive here to preserve previous content gifts. Since all gifts as of late require a serial code, you have to enter it in and the online server will say "go ahead, load the contents from folder X and give that gift". The server knows the current bcat folder structure, and there's no way to desynchronize it because you have to be synchronized to enter in a serial code.

I opened up the BCAT file, are the cards located in the double digit folders? and am i correct to say each wonder card number are made up of the folder digit + the file of each card? and lastly why some wonder cards that i have redeemed are not in the BCAT ? i had the pokemon still in my boxes

As was previously mentioned, you need to beat the DLC sufficiently for them to be available for unlock. If you "unlock" them prior to being possible, then they'll still appear disabled because you don't have enough overall progress with the main game.

I already did, if User Contributed Saves is the section you mean. There aren't many (if any) saves that have a completed Pokedex and strong level 100 Pokemon at the beginning of the game(s) with none or at least most of the story (badges, etc.) not completed yet. The saves I'm finding there are ones with the story already completed.

Deoxys is not in Sword/Shield. Load a save file / change settings for another set of games (like BD/SP) where it is available in-game.
