Again, you are not using the encounter database correctly. Stop forcing it shiny afterwards. Use the criteria tab to specify how you want it to be generated, but keep in mind that you shouldn't specify exact IVs unless you know they for sure can exist with that Nature. Open your save file, then open the encounter database. Search for the encounter. Leave IVs as random, specify your desired gender, nature, and shiny state. Generate. The PID you provided is not a valid PID, there are no seeds that can yield that value randomly.
-
Ah of course! I was trying to generate the Celebi first, without any save loaded. But if I load the VC save first it shows the Ilex Forest encounter as you've explained. Thanks a lot!
-
No, still no luck. I tried this PID: 05FF4982 Nature: Adamant IVs: 28 / 21 / 20 / 5 / 17 / 29 TID: 45766 SID: 65209 Met location: Vermilion City Met level But still illegal on PkHex. I somehow got the charmander to be legal but not this. Is there a way you can help me?
-
Use the Criteria tab. If you are looking at the search tab, do not click the Shiny checkbox, that is for filtering between always/never/possibly shiny encounters. Gen3 has no guaranteed shiny Magikarp encounter, only randomly shiny ones.
-
None of the magikarps in encounter database has shiny
-
WISHMKR Jirachi uses the block0 checksum of the Gen3 cartridge save file. If it's the same exact save file, you get the same exact checksum, and thus the same exact Jirachi.

I’m emulating sapphire and the bonus disc on dolphin and I know that loading a save state and claiming jirachi will always give me the same one but if I load the save state then save the game normally, close and reopen the game does it change the seed I’m on effectively allowing me to hunt the shiny the same way the save corruption method works where I don’t have to replay through the whole opening sequence to get the Pokédex each time before I check for a new shiny?

pk3DS: Pokémon 3DS ROM Editor and Randomizer
Kalebo replied to Kaphotics's topic in ROM - 3DS Research and Development
The method that you're supposed to use to update your dump is to take the dump of the base version of the game, and then merge the update into it, while replacing the original files that overlap. Your should then be able to just edit it in PK3DS. When you install the mod files to your Luma mod folder, you're going to want to also have the update installed to the system. They shouldn't disappear when you do that. Did you do all of that? -
The Virtual Console games were the only games that had access for international languages. The physical cartridge games only had access for Japanese games. Based on the program title behind the currently shown window, you have not loaded a Virtual Console save file, but instead a physical cartridge / emulator save. Thus, Virtual Console events are not available to you, only GameBoy Cartridge era events are available.

Hello everyone! First time posting so I want to start by saying thank you for maintaining such an amazing tool as PKHeX. I'm trying to generate a shiny Ilex Forest Celebi from VC Crystal, i.e. the Celebi that you encounter at the end of the game on Virtual Console through the GS ball. I'm following my usual process, i.e. going to the Encounter Database and filtering for Celebi and Crystal version, but all I see is a mystery gift Celebi (see attached pic). I don't seem to be able to generate the Ilex Forest one (shiny or not). I'm using version 26.07.07a. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Or am I maybe doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for the help

Hi everyone, Does anyone happen to have the event files/data for the Mightiest Glimmora Tera Raid in Pokémon Scarlet/Violet? Unfortunately, I missed this event and I haven't been able to find the raid files in the Event Gallery. If anyone still has the files and would be willing to share them, I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

GameFreak/ILCA do not have advanced legality checks in their official validator, especially none that have ever checked for RNG patterns their games have had. It is up to you whether you continue to risk, as PKHeX's checks are indicating that it was tampered with.

Ahh dang it, does this mean I need to be careful with him in online and the like? He is all the way up in Scarlet and Violet now, been online and through home and hasnt had any issues yet...

The Trainer ID is that of the save file; it must be possible to hit the Trainer ID/SID from any starting frame of the Naming Screen. Pokefinder's TID/SID search does not account for the naming screen's RNG pattern prior to when the TID/SID of the save file is assigned. I gonna go deep to learn all those things, the only thing that i really want is full legal ribbon/medals, because after bank closure i will not able to get anymore, isn't the "FOMO - Fear of missing out", is the "YDGMO - You’re definitely gonna miss out." lol Thank you for advices, maybe should i create one by one pokemon, and don't get a "full pokedex", look his movesets if is unique per game, for example, i need 3 saves in FRLG for starters, 1 each for start, the rest of evolutions from breed, include shiny

Hi there, Have just noticed the following with my Ribbon Master Scizor. It seems that the Trainer ID is not obtainable from any RNG seed, however, I RNG manipulated this Scizor to shiny myself and had no legality issues prior to checking it today. I have attached the Sc/Vi Pkm file and was wondering if this could be looked into? There was no editing of the Pokemon at any point and was created through RNG manipulation on stock hardware and firmware from my Japanese copy of colosseum. Paste from PKHex: Invalid: Trainer ID is not obtainable from any RNG seed. Valid Move 1: SV-Learned by Level-up. @ lv0 Valid Move 2: SV-Learned by TM/HM. Valid Move 3: SV-Learned by TM/HM. As long as the immutables are not modified, even clones can enter HOME (presently, HOME would assign them a new HOME tracker but will retain all information) In regards to form changes, I’ve tried to cover all the form changes, using Switch games when possible, and transferred from Bank if not possible (such as poke ball Vivillon). I think I got lazy with the gender differences, but I reckon BDSP non-shiny pcdata should have them. The only one that isn’t there for sure is Spinda, as I can withdraw them (no Switch games as a compatible version; BDSP has Spinda but they messed up the implementation so it can’t enter/leave HOME). Though, I believe I dumped the PKH file, and would be usable when a non-VC Switch games has Spinda and also able to have it interact with HOME.

I've been trying to find a way to edit the update information for a Pokemon X rom alongside the main game in hopes of making changes that don't disappear as soon as the updates are installed, but I keep getting this error message whenever I try. I've tried loading the update data on its own as well as combining the files between the main game data and the update data, but I get this message every time. I assume that it's because something involving the romfs folder is missing from the update data, but I honestly don't know for sure. Does anyone know what's going on if it isn't that and if it is that, is there any way to get the romfs data onto the update data so I can properly extract it?
