  2. That's fair. In the time since I posted this, I've already got a working generator that produces actual legal mons. Except for Meowth. Works on others. But not Meowth. Every time I try to gen a Meowth, it defaults to thinking that it's supposed to be the Egg Pokémon Present Meowth and insists that the fateful encounter flag should be enabled. Even though the exact same PSID and IVs work on others. (Yes, I also made sure the other checks were correct.) Oddly enough, if I set the Met at level to 0, it accepts the Meowths as legal too. I think it might be a bug with PKHeX. I double and triple checked my gen method.

  5. Here is my setup for my ledyba. Glad for the update. Now I will try venipede next playthrough. I also carry morning dew in bag so my bug is extra fast. Then weather band to ignore weather.
  6. Shiny Pokemon are THAT difficult to obtain? Psh... now I feel completely justified in using a 100% recruit chance cheat to get Shiny Magikarp when I played the game for the first time. That's insane, dude. Unless you explicitly tell people in the game, you're gonna disappoint and waste a ton of people's time.

  8. I have a project in mind. In scope, it's rather ambitious. I wish to recreate Pokemon generations 1-5 in Minecraft. But more than that, I want the mod I'm building to be able to export a 100% valid readable save that can be loaded into an emulator or cartridge, and pick up right where you left off with no errors. Before you go and tell me that what I'm planning is insane and impossible... Trust me... I'm aware. For now, all I need is this: PKHeX is able to check a game and a Pokemon, and generate every possible Pokemon of that type within that game. I want to understand that process. From RNG value to final mon. Every step in the code. Every step in the process. Everything else in the save export process can be figured out later. But the pokemon generation needs to be right from the start. And in order to do that, I need to understand how it does it. I've been studying save file formats and I understand a fair bit. I just need a point in the right direction. I'm starting in Generation 3 with the Gen 1 remakes. Kanto only for now. I might do the Sevii Isles later, but maybe not since I have other plans for how to handle later generation pokemon.

I mean ideally I'd love to add every Pokemon ever but uh...I am VERY low on free Pokemon slots. at this point, if I'm gonna add anything else it's gotta be something I REALLY like or feel is necessary orz

  16. Connect online to Nintendo's servers and download the latest game patch. Dump the patch contents, same as you did for the base ROM. Then merge the two folders so that there is only one romfs and exefs.

    I beat the elite four and champion with six pokemon in my team that don't have hm moves. The pokemon that have hm moves are in the pc. I caught groudon with a poke ball. I still have the master ball by the way. The pokemon that are in the pc that have the hm moves are linoone, xatu, electrike and gyarados. I left my starter and the castform in the daycare. In my team there is one pokemon that is a full odds random shiny pokemon without any resets. I can't spoil who this shiny pokemon is. I encourage a lot gamers to download this save file to find which pokemon in my team is shiny. Thank you and have a day. ☺

  23. ahhh I see what's going on. I don't think Klutz would be affecting the Mega Stone because because the Mega Stone technically has no effect, the form changing stuff is on the Pokemon's end, and sure enough there was an incorrect value in the form change table specifically for Shiny female Mega Lopunny. but to be safe, I have elected to change the Buneary line's secondary ability to their hidden one, Limber. (apart from the SE4 Lopunny, who cannot mega evolve anyways)
  24. It's all up to which difficulty you chose when beginning the game ngl. If you set it to Expert then you are expected to use most of the game's systems to win, even Difficult is designed to have you interact with the systems. Level curve is different depending on your chosen difficulty.
  25. It appears that the Klutz ability prevents Lopunny's mega evolution, at least it does with the shiny one I have in my team, but I don't see why would the regular one work. No idea if you're taking any suggestions, but instead of making an exception for mega stones, I think Klutz should just be removed from all pokemon that have other options in the main series, it barely changes anything for wild pokemon and is purely detrimental for the player, especially if Buneary is chosen as one of the main characters.

  28. I dont know if someone else asked this before, but im having this issue when patching the hack into Maniac Emu on my iphone. Its always saying its "not implemented: secondary decompressor". I tried many different roms also those with no extra names. Does it have to be a specific Rom from somewhere? Edit. I use the Marc Robledo Patcher. Maybe its an issue with that? Edit2: Ok, the problem seemed to be exactly this patcher. I did a roundabout patching through delta patcher on windows, uplouded it into a cloud and downlouded again on ios. For someone else reading this. On Maniac Emu you need to change the core on which its running the patched nds file. Only then did it work for me. Otherwise it crashed.
