Every time I try to use PPSE to export an AR code to my US Platinum Version, I keep getting seriously f*cked up Bad Eggs in my PC (and they don't even show up in the slots I assigned to the code). I tried reinstalling PPSE and still no luck. So I have one thing to ask. Does PPSE not fully support the US Platinum yet, or is something buggy in PPSE? ~STBE

So, what's the difference between these two programs? I've been using Pokesav for a few weeks now, finding my way around it to "enhance" my gaming experience if you know what i mean. But I was taking a look at the main website and saw PPSE? It sounds very similar, so I was wondering what the difference is. Are they virtually the same, just competitors, or does one do something entirely different than the other? I saw that PPSE does more with Pokedex entries of hacked Pokemon...but is that it?

PPSE is, cross platform, open source software written in Qt C++, and is still very much in development. The release philosophy for PPSE will be to release things as soon as they are done and have everyone beta test. For those interested in the source code, the project has a public SVN: http://svn.projectpokemon.org/ppse/. For those that wish to view the source without downloading it, the trac browser is more useful: http://ppse.projectpokemon.org/trac/browser Features: -Both Platinum and DP support -Pokedex Editing -Drag and Drop Pokemon organization. Changelog: 0.00: Checksum Fixing for D/P and Pl. Save type determined automatically. 0.01: Pokedex Editing without most special cases (spinda included). 0.02: Pokedex Editing revamped by Jiggy-Ninja, unown order editing added (not fully functional). 0.03: Pokédex complete. Added all of the special forms dialogs into the UI. Added functionality to the sprite boxes as well, showing the proper default forms for each entry. Spinda's spots are drawn in the Individual tab according to the PID, but not drawn in the Formes tab. 0.04: (revision 95) One click complete Pokedex Added new button to complete the gender forms area. Pokemon organizing dialog inspired by Codemonkey's PKMN Box Mark II. It's awesome, really. Spinda form editor in Pokedex improved. You can now drag a save into the main PPSE window to load it if you don't want to use the load dialog. Added support for loading saves using the command line. This means that if you associate .sav files with ppse.exe, double-clicking the save file will automatically open it in PPSE. 0.05: (Revision 100) * Added some context menu options for the Pokemon Organizer. * Added ARDS code output option to the Pokedex Editor and Pokemon Organizer. Windows version Mac version [intel Macs only, so far] (compiled by Balrog) Linux version to be compiled.

One great advantage that PPSE will have over Pokesav is that the toolkit being used to develop it has great support for translation and alternate languages. However, I don't know any languages besides English, and a very small amount of Japanese. So we will need volunteers to do the translation for us. Here's how it will work. If you want to work on translating PPSE, just post here with the language you'll translate into and I'll add your name to the list of people doing translation work. You will need to download and use a special program called "Qt Linguist" in order to do translations. The previous download link is for the full Qt SDK, Qt Linguist is one of the components in that package. Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to download just Linguist. After the next release of PPSE, after I finish researching how to do translation stuff and review the code to make sure it's okay for translation, I will post .ts files that contain all the text that needs to be translated. I'll post a little tutorial for Linguist once that's up, but it's not very difficult to use anyway. Once you're done with translation, send the file back to me, and I'll work on putting it into PPSE (and giving you appropriate credit on the credits page, not like many people look at that anyway. ). Please keep in mind that this will be an ongoing thing. Each new release will have new things that need to be translated. Fortunately, you won't have to re-translate the whole thing each time. So, begin the multi-language party! :grog: Translator List German: nintenboy Spanish: SilverFox Russian: SilverFox French: matt123337

Please take note that the project known as PokeMod has become Project Pokémon Save Editor (PPSE for short). Sabresite is no longer the sole programmer; in fact, so far, SCV and Jiggy-Ninja have been doing most of the programming, with some support from others. So anytime you ever see someone mention "PokeMod", they are really referring to PPSE (even if they don't know it!). If there are any questions, please post in one of the relevant PPSE stickied threads, or PM one of the aforementioned developers (or myself). [unstickied by evandixon because no one has mentioned either of these programs in years]

Here will be a nice list of ToDo's for PPSE. This list will be updated with new stuff, and old stuff will be subtracted as necessary. Change hardcoded resources.cpp information to a text or binary loaded resource to lower initialization file. Add PokeText <--> Unicode library for fixed-length, dynamic length strings, and trash byte support using the font dictable. Create a universal file loading handler to handle all possible formats. Handler will keep the file in memory then convert the file to the raw SAV format. Create a universal file saving handler to handle all possible formats. Handler will covert the modified sav file to the same format as the original file from memory. Handler should automatically handle headers/footers.

I know that I saw this same concern posted somewhere but I couldn't find it, after I use PPSE to edit my Pokedex entries (I had just used Pokesav to add some Pokemon from Colosseum and ) and when I load the save back onto my retail cart all my party pokemon have incredibly low stats (they are all in low to high 80's It fixes it when I use a rare candy on them but I am wondering why this is happening is it something that I am doing in PPSE or what?

Hi all. Today we reveal the first version release version of PPSE. PPSE is, cross platform, open source software written in Qt C++, and is still very much in development. The release philosophy for PPSE will be to release things as soon as they are done and have everyone beta test. The project has a public SVN at http://svn.projectpokemon.org/ppse/ There is also a trac project page. Its not very customized, but the source browser can be useful for those who do not want to check it out using SVN: http://ppse.projectpokemon.org/trac/browser Note: Always make backups and report bugs. Linux Version: QtLibs PPSE Windows Version: QtLibs PPSE Mac Version: Coming Soon Features: -Both Platinum and DP support -Pokedex Editing (special cases except spinda are missing) Changelog: 0.00: Checksum Fixing for D/P and Pl. (SVN updated)

What is PPSE? PPSE is a program which will eventually replace PokeSav & DSPokeEdit. This program will allow you to create and modify any feature of a pokemon or save file. It will tell you what parts of a pokemon are not legit, and how to fix it. It can show you all features of a pokemon, or just legit features. What do I need to use it? To modify your save file directly, a flash cartridge or action replay. Can I check event pokemon with PPSE? Sure. This program can check any GBA event, in-game event, NPC traded, gift, mystery gift, or other pokemon. Can I generate 100% Legal pokemon with PPSE? Yes. There are a few restrictions, but I hope to hammer those out as time goes on. Can PPSE validate hatched pokemon? Yes. Will PPSE be able to output Action-Replay codes? Yep, you can import a PKM file from our database, or create your own Pokemon and output it as an Action-Replay/Flash Cartridge compatible XML file. My friend gave me a chained shiny pokemon, can I tell if its legal with PPSE? Definitely. Pika, the creator of pika's anticheat is working closely with PPSE to better improve both services. I want my pokemon to have really high IVs, can PPSE make it legal? Yes. PPSE will allow you to set the IVs to anything within legal limits. What Event Pokemon can be determined by PPSE? We hope to eventually determine all of them. For now, two types can be determined. First are mystery gift, both with and without classic ribbon. And the next are Pal Parked GBA Event Pokemon. Here are the following supported Pal Parks: Mystery Mew Wishmaker Jirachi 10 Aniv (USA) 10 Anniv (UK/French/Spanish) 10 Anni (Italian) 10 Jahre (German) Jeremy Bryant Park Yokohama Rocks Metang Space C Deoxys Tanabata Jirachi (Every year) Pokemon Box Hadou Ruby/Saphire Berry Glitch Fix Why are the movesets for pokemon that were Pal Parked different then others? When a pokemon is Pal Parked, it could have come from Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fire Red, Leaf Green, or Gale of Darkness. Because this is true, the tutor moves, level up moves, tm moves, and specially acquired moves for all of those games are available. Example is a Mew from the MYSTRY event: Untouched it comes with Pound/Transform. Because its Pal Parked, it could have: Zap Cannon - Tutor Move Hypnosis - Tutor Move Psychic - TM Move (from GBA, or D/P) Dream Eater - TM Move (D/P) How will PPSE take care of trash bytes from Pal Parked Pokemon? Trash byte sequences will be taken care of automatically. The program will also flag whether or not they are valid, and give you the option to normalize them. Does PPSE do anything other than modify Pokemon? Yes! - Our goal is to allow a person to modify everything possible in the SAV file, or output an AR code to do so. For those who do not have access to a flash cartridge or action replay, there will be an extra feature which will allow a person to wifi transfer pokemon to and from their DS and PC. When do you plan on releasing this awesome tool? Sometime between noon of tomorrow and the next super nova of a star in the local cluster of the milky way.

PLEASE READ THE FULL FEATURE LIST BEFORE POSTING OR YOUR REPLY WILL BE REMOVED. If you have a request for a feature that hasn't been spoken about, or does not look apparently obvious on the interface of the program, please suggest it here. If you make ridiculous, spam-like suggestions, then I will make sure that when YOU import YOUR pokemon, your game turns into a bad egg farm. I will also scold you, and email your mother. So please do not act childish. Do not ask for E-Reader capabilities because I have no freaking clue how that crap works.. Do not ask for CodeBreaker output because if you still use that thing, you should uninstall life. Do not ask for music in the program, because I tried it and promptly ripped my eardrums out of my ears. Do not ask when this will be finished... thats not a feature. Do not ask if I can release the source code... thats not a feature either. Lets hear those ideas!
