Hello everyone. :) So, I'm fairly new still to the idea of ROM editing and tried asking around on reddit for an answer to my current predicament. So, I wanna do a HeartGold Nuzlocke series after a failed FireRed Nuzlocke that ended in, well... the death of my team (and story-wise for a laugh my trainer). I wanted to change the teams of both Blue and Red to be similar (with adjustments) to both Blue's team from FireRed with some changes to suit my brother's personality (named it after his name on Twitch) and Red's team to be the "dream team that could have been", which I was able to accomplish using PPRE. I also wanted to change the name of Blue and Red to my original trainer's name and his rival's name from FR, but with PPRE that doesn't seem possible - or at least with the version I have. Is there a way to find an older version or another program that lets me change trainer names available? Or is there another way to safely edit the names of trainers? Also, if, by some chance, there's a way to give a trainer's Pokemon nicknames without changing all instances of a Pokemon's name to said nickname, how could I do that - or would that require creating a separate, unobtainable version of the respective Pokemon? So I need to know how to edit the names you see when entering a gym battle (during the mugshot) and the names of the trainers before the battle when the game says "you are challenged by _____". Someone please help there are no gen 6 hacking tutorials I could find to help me with this. -

for some reason, when i type in a name for my pokemon or the trainers, it wont show up. It works fine on my windows xp on my older computer, but it wont work my laptop that has vista. if anyone has a version of platinum or pearl pokesav that has that issue fixed, please tell me.

Hello. I am Prmatt11, one of the administrators over at Bulbanews. We were doing some categorizing, and I found this article again: the one that Fenzo666 and Poryhack said we misreported things. However, read the article and see what really happened. An excerpt: "We would like to bring attention to the fact that the user that reported this was a sockpuppet of Fenzo666 and Poryhack, the two administrators at the former PKM Database, now Project Pokémon. As it would seem, they were trying to get users away from Bulbanews and towards their site, attempting to get Bulbanews's reputation down. However, Argy was smart enough and noticed that the IP of QuickAttack was the same as those PKM Database admins. Due to this, The PKM Database has been shush about the incident, with the only mention that it was their doing on Fenzo666's talk page, covering the situation up by saying it was an April Fools' joke; problem was, this happened more than a week before. The admins have yet to tell their users about the incident."

Is anyone else sick of the fact that the default Pokemon names are ALWAYS IN ALL CAPS? Characters finally have lower case letters in their names (we won't be fighting the League Champion LANCE in HG/SS), but the Pokemon are still spelled in all caps. Why? Is Game Freak unwilling to admit that it was a stupid translation decision and that having two Pokedexes that don't match up perfectly is a small sacrifice for fixing this annoyance? No one likes the capitalized names. No one uses them. Capitalize the first letter like everyone else in the world and move on, Game Freak! Seriously, how many times have you heard someone brag about their awesome SCIZOR?

With the recent confirmation of the long awaited Pokemon Gold and Silver remakes a question came to my mind when they announced the names, are they good names? Fire Red and Leaf Green go very well together, but Heart Gold and Soul Silver? I get the Heart Gold cause people say you have a heart of gold sometimes, but Soul Silver? Your thoughts?
