Scenario 1: In Pokémon Soulsilver I caught 2 Vulpix and engaged in a few Trainer Battles. I open the Save in PKHex. The Vulpix appears as "caught" in the Pokédex; The XP gained from Trainer Battles is there; Both Vulpix do not appear in PKHex. Scenario 2: In Pokémon Soulsilver I caught 3 Magnemite. I open the Save in PKHex. They appear there normally. I edit 1 into Magneton. I edit 1 into Magnezone. Legality check: Tick. I export the Main. I open the Game: 3 Magnemite in their original Position. No edits carried over. (In short: sometimes Game Pokémon dissappear in PKHex; Sometimes PKHex Pokémon disappear in the Game) (This Save will only have the Scenario 1 - Vulpix Error) Pokémon - SoulSilver.sav2 (The Trainers in the South haven't been battled, because I gave myself the Gym Badges. If I went through the entire Region again, I would have to do everything again, once the error occurs again.) Attempted Fix: Starting a new Game, editing TID, SID, Items etc. too look as close as the old file. Initially works. No Game-PKHex problems. But after 2-3 Saves, this problem comes up again.

First of all, this is my first time asking on this site I think, so if I created this topic in the wrong place or I broke the rules on accident, sorry in advance! But I have something to ask that intrigues me. On the start of playing Pokémon Moon, when Pokémon Bank was made compatible with Gen 7 years ago, I sent a lot of shiny legendary Pokémon from Gen 4, made them appear as shiny with an emulator, then resetting their encounters with another code a ton of times to encounter them infinitely, and sent from R4 to real cartridge to be transfered. Doing this, the PKHex program recognizes the PID of these mons as invalid on the shininess, as it would be expected. One of these Pokémon was Shaymin. From those days of giving shiny legendaries, now only 2 shiny Shaymin remain with me. Checking PKHex on my Moon save now, however, I found something a bit astonishing: one of the Shaymin's PID matched its supposedly fake shininess. All was legal, the program said... I know if you add shiny with the program on Gen 3 and 4 mons, the PID will not match no matter how you roll it unless you use an advance PID separated program ...that means that one Shaymin I encountered was actually a legit, full odds shiny? I'm legit curious and that would be awesome. Also, on a side note, I no longer do those types of things with emulators anymore. In fact I hope to reset for my first shiny legendary Pokémon soon! Anyway, cheers, I hope someone could answer me!

So, I wanted my adventure to be "legitimate", so I want to know if there is a way to change some of trainer details like -times linked; and -link trades. Thank you in advance.

Hey everyone, I'm sure you've seen the beautiful resurrection of GTS via a fan-made DNS server, I'm just curious if this is the right place (or potentially) to find friends for trading. Gens IV & V are both totally functional, and you can see available Pokemon on their site: https://pkmnclassic.net/gts/ Would love to be pointed in the right direction if anyone can help, or hear from anyone that's interested, thanks!

Does anyone know of an Emulator that supports the Relocator? If not, does using PKHex to move event Celebi and Crown beasts to B/W/HG/SS register as sent through the Relocator? Pal Park same questions.

I am working on a ROM hack of SoulSilver and I don't know where to go next. I have 3 things I am looking for help with. I want to add some Team Rocket events in Kanto. Basically Team Rocket would be in all the caves of Kanto trying to find new Pokemon and it would end with the hero having to beat them again on their way to Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave. I was wondering if this is possible. I also want to change how the Elite 4 interact with you when you go through the Elite 4 the second time. It has always bugged me that they act like they don't know who you are despite the fact that you have already beaten them. The last thing I want to do is eliminate all the rock climb areas and turn them in to stairs so they can be accessed throughout the game and you don't have to have a Pokemon with rock climb to get to Red. Can anyone help with any of these?

Nearly a year ago, I asked for help in obtaining data of party Pokémon from Pokémon Battle Revolution. Then I got distracted by other stuff and this fell by the wayside. I've returned, wondering whether or not I should copy the data of my lost Pokémon to the Gen IV game they originated or put them in the most recent game possible. Say, when Pokémon are transferred through generations, do they pick up, er, markers detailing where they've been?

Many of my PC Pokémon in Pearl have disappeared and I'm seemingly not the only one. Could somebody please investigate this, maybe find out how it works, how it can be prevented, how it can be fixed, etc?

1) Are Gen3,4 and 5 PID's randomly chosen from RNG Reporter's pool of PIDs/natures etc.? 2) Is Gen3/4/5 (more importantly Gen5 Mystery Gift Pokemon) Generation automatic (just click reroll) given they are from Gen3-5? 3) Is there a list of pokemon classified as "mystery gift from gen5" or does that just mean all gen5 event pokemon? 4) And lastly, for gen 4 and below, won't generating PID's for pokemon (including event pokemon) technically make them illegal because IV's are linked to nature, ability etc. Wouldn't it be more accurate to look at RNG Reporter and copy/paste the proper IV's, nature, ability, PID?

Currently, I'm trying to re-roll the PID's of pokemon that are from Gen 5/4 (pk6) with PKHex however I'm not sure if they're actually valid PID rerolls or if PKHex even supports it. I remember PKHex was not compatible with some previous gens a while back which is why I'm not sure. I know there is PokeGen but I can't convert my pk6 files back to pk5/4 (assuming PKHex doesn't validly reroll PIDs). So does it reroll using valid previous gen PIDs or do I have to somehow go back to an older editor? latest version pk6 files but pokemon are from hg/ss and b/w / b/w2. 95% of the files are from HG/SS so b/w is almost irrelevant and mostly for questions sake.
