  1. i have seen various people do oras randomizers. How do people do this, do you need a gateway to inject the rom???? or can you use it with just a 3ds and a sdcard.

  4. Okay before we all jump the gun here, it is a question of possibilities. With existing tools, is it possible to do the following: 1. Bring over new items, such as prison bottle, megastones etc 2. Bring over new formes Other new mechanics, like dexnav and stuff, are obviously probably not going to be brought over. But as for items and their routines, probably isn't too hard right? ______ Side questions, now sure if sav or rom question. Is it possible to change brendan/may into xy character? XY character should be programmed into the rom, and with the right offset in the save, should be able to change character. (unless it's a rom issue, hence the question)

  7. Hey, Project Pokemon community. I would love to try my hand at Pokemon X and Y hacking, seeing as how I've successfully hacked GBA and DS Pokemon Roms. I have both the cartridge Pokemon Y and a downloaded Pokemon X version. My question is how would I extract one of these versions to my computer so I could edit it as I wish? I've searched and I can't find anything but I know for a fact that it's possible. Thanks! ~Zeph
  8. Hi, could someone please answer me a question. How can i fight a gym leader with an umbreon with the ability prankster. I already changed the ability in the pokemon rom changer, but the new ability wasn`t available in the BWTE. It would be nice, if someone could answer me this. Thank you and sorry for my bad english. The problem is that i can`t give umbreon the ability on the BWTE ( BWTE is a programm where you can change the pokemon and their abilities that a trainer use in a battle ). In the pokemon rom changer ( where you can change stats , abilities, evolution, gender rate and more) prankster is already placed.

  12. Hi everyone, sorry about this but can anyone please help me completely replace the Black 2 male MC with the one from Black 1 (editing the Trainer Card, mugshots, battle animations, etc...)? I've been trying to do it for a few hours now and I'm completely stumped on where to start and what to do, since I have absolutely no experience with sprite replacing. I tried searching for a tutorial on replacing the overworld sprites but I couldn't find one that applies to Black 2, which seems completely different from Black 1. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. EDIT: Okay, well I managed to figure out some stuff and edited my rom a bit. But now I'm dealing with even more problems than I could possible figure out, especially the overworld sprites; I can't even find the import button to replace them... also, I'd like to know how to change the flying animations for the MC as well, as after looking at this thread a bit more (http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?20235-Alder-Overworld-Sprite-Using-Fly), I was able to locate the flying animations using Tinke, but I can't figure out how to replace them with Black 1 MC either. I'm assuming the situation is the same with surfing and fishing animations, so if someone can elaborate on where these animations are and how to replace them I'd really appreciate it. Beyond that, after messing around with other stuff, I ended up building more problems for myself. First, I edited the Xtransceiver sprite for the MC but it ended up looking like this (http://puu.sh/eQX3r/265938570d.jpg)... any suggestions? Secondly, I edited the Trainer Card sprite but that didn't go so well either (http://puu.sh/eQXbn/a780f42be7.jpg). And lastly, I attempted to replace the back facing sprite but ended up with some bizarre results (http://puu.sh/eQXir/60909cf1ff.jpg). Aside from that, I'm also attempting to replace the start screen sprite with the Black 1 MC (http://puu.sh/eQXVH/4831a3a45c.jpg) as well as replace the default bag sprite (http://puu.sh/eQXZZ/af7a8a5ddf.jpg) with the one from Black 1 (http://puu.sh/eQY5v/e061a37c76.png). So, if anyone has any idea on how to fix these issues, please let me know, thanks.

  16. Hello all, newb here... Hi, uh...the title says my idea. I heard about Project Pokemon through Kotaku (http://kotaku dot com/the-hackers-and-cheaters-that-break-pokemon-1679307562). i am writing up my own script for a ROM hack (my first) and i would like to as for any pointers you can give. My story will try to encompass the "beginnings of the Pokemon world" at the cost of our world ending. I would like to base it off of either X/Y or OR/AS games, because i want to use the newer 3d models, rather than 5th gen.

  18. Firstly, I apologize for the fact that, yes, I am a newb at HGSS hacking. Does anyone know of any English language tools that can unpack, and more importantly REpack game graphics? I want to do a full edit of all the female protagonist's sprites, both battle and overworld; all I need is to be able to extract and re-insert, I've done sprite editing before so I know how to do the rest. I have looked everywhere and been unable to find anything; it seems tools for HGSS are extremely few. :frown:
  19. I have plans for making some Changes to my Y rom but do not know where to begin. I've tried finding out how to unpack my .garcs from my Rom for editing but google searching brings me back here with the only real answer going to a dead link and a rather confusing place elsewhere. Does anyone have actual step by step instruction compiled yet on how to unpack you roms, edit the information, and to repack it? Because atm it seems like just a privileged few actually know what's what and nobody else has any ideas.
  20. Hello, Is there a way to extract all the animated gifs from ORAS and XY using Cybergadget, pkhex or some other program?? Many people online are looking for them and the sprites are not easily found especially the shiny and different form sprites of pokemon. Any help would be appreciated. thanks
  21. So, I wanted to change both Rosa & Nate's X-transceiver mug shot. I started off with Rosa and was able to replace everything (animations, etc.) The animations are working correctly, but then I get this: The eyes are all red and black and I don't know what happened. By the way, I used Tinke to replace the files. Any suggestions?
  22. I've been having problems with changing the player trainer sprite in Diamond recently. My problem is when I replace new sprites, the animation is messed up. Walking right works fine, but left is missing the last frame (the second standing one). And the animation for walking up is using the wrong sprite for it's third frame, and it's missing it's fourth frame. And walking down doesn't have any sprites at all. I haven't tried running yet but I think there might be a problem there too. What I've been doing is using Nitroexplorer and BTX editor to turn the .btx files of the trainer into .pngs, I've tried other programs but I don't think that's the problem. I think my problem is how I'm repacking the narc or reinserting the narc. I've been repacking it with either PokeDSPic DP or alphanarc. I don't think I'm having problems with converting the .png to a .btx file, because I've also tried looking at the modified narc with Overworld Sprite editor DS. I've only been editing some of the .btx files, in diamond, they're the movement sprites (file 91), the watering sprites (158), and the saving sprites (366). Mostly because I want to get it working before I edit all of the sprites. The sprites all have 16 colors, including the transparency color, but I did replace one of the colors, but I doubt it's the palette, because the pallet is the same for every sprite, and only some of the sprites are working. Another thing that might be affecting the sprites is an error I've been getting with the watering and saving sprites. It tells me the height of the sprite sheet is wrong or something. Once I get the error again I'll edit this post and say exactly what it says. But like I said, this doesn't happen with the movement animations, just the other two I've been working with, so that might not be it. I've also been googling everything I can think of, but with no luck. So hopefully someone who might have had this problem before can help. So what am I doing wrong that's causing this to happen?
  23. Hi, I need to know how to create new battles with trainers and put them into Pokemon B2W2 games. I saw Pokemon Blaze Black 2 and Volt White 2 hack, there were added new battles with Hoenn Leaders, I want to do this same but with my own created trainers but I really dont know how to do that :C I have "BWTE 2 for Expanded Trainers (1000)", there are free slots for adding new battles. Anybody know what to do step by step to add Trainers and their names? It would be great to know how to do this. Thx for help.

Possible values : 0x02 (RGB8), 0x03 (RGBA8888), 0x04 (ETC1) or 0x05 (??).[/td] [/tr] [tr] [td]0x08[/td] [td]4[/td] [td]Width. Always a multiple of 4.[/td] [/tr] [tr] [td]0x0C[/td] [td]4[/td] [td]Height.
