  1. No you didn't annoy me at all. Actually, I already answered most of these questions! But here are more definitive answers~ No there will be no Gen 5 pokemon. I want to stay as true as I can to the original HGSS games. Yes there will be special event pokemon given in some way shape or form. The legendaries may have special themes, that's an iffy subject but I'll get back to you on that. Yes there will be something to do after beating Johto. "New/Different Storylines may be implemented" and "The Kanto Gym Leaders have been gotten rid of. They have been replaced by an even more challenging, ruthless, and fearless group of leaders who aren't afraid to tear your world down..." No new areas will not be added. Mapping on Gen IV is pretty tough and the programs aren't all there for that No estimated date of release yet. All legendaries are available and there will be no version differences. It's going to be totally free I find surveys stupid and a waste of time.
  2. I'm thankful for your support! You can use your original HGSS Pokemon by importing them using PokeGEN. However, this game has been reworked to be playable from the start with a fresh new team. The beta I was going to release isn't ready yet, and won't be for a while. So don't worry it's not going anywhere!
  3. You want to use Tinke to extract this directory of HGSS a/0/8/1. This directory contains all of the Overworld Sprites within HGSS. Then you want to download BTX Editor by KazoWAR. - Search it up on Youtube - Now once you have it extracted. Open up editor.exe (Kiwi Editor, however I recommend download KazoWAR's BTX Editor pack it has the program inside). Drag and drop the 1 narc file into Kiwi Editor. Double click on it. Then check the box next to the 1 and hit the extract button (looks like a piece of paper). Once you hit the extract button, open up BTX editor and load up the sprites one by one to load each of the overworlds. When you're done, save your edited sprite back into the 1.narc and transform that 1 file into a new narc file. Once that's done then reinsert into your game via Tinke. If whatever I said was just jibberish, follow this tutorial mate. I'm looking on how to edit trainer sprites themselves, but I'll find something soon hopefully. I'm making my own Soul Silver hack so the struggles the same, haha. I hope I helped you out! Happy Hacking! - Zephyr
  4. A playable demo may be available within the next two weeks! Hooray! I have to add a few more potential events but other than that, we're almost ready to go with the first demo!
  5. So I'm coming along with my Spirit Silver hack pretty nicely and I have implemented a lot of new content, as well as, many new trainer battles. One such being able to fight a Battle Frontier Brain early on. He blocks the gym from being used and you must battle him before entering as a test (per se). Now I have scripted this whole scenario. He will walk away from the gym and not block your path however when you exit the map and go back in he reappears. Now I know this issue can be solved by using Flags but I am not quite sure how to utilize Flags in this instance. PPRE gets rid of my flag when I add it onto the script. (I would go to another map on PPRE to edit, then come back and it will have been removed). So my question is, How do you use Flags in PPRE correctly for Pokemon Soul Silver? This is my script. Lockall Faceplayer Message 28 WaitButton CloseMsgOnKeyPress TrainerBattle 80 0 1 CheckTrainerLost 0x800c If 0x800c 0 Message 29 WaitButton CloseMsgOnKeyPress Applymovement 13 mov_7 Waitmovement Removepeople 13 Releaseall End

  7. Introduction Hey guys! I am Zephyros and I want to announce to you my first Pokemon Project (no pun intended)...Pokemon Spirit Silver! This is a hack made by yours truly, Zeph (me!). So a bit about myself. I love messing around with video games and I love messing around with Pokemon because I get to do a lot of things that I wish could've happened in my regular play through as a kid. I loved playing Pokemon and I still do so to show my love I decided to hack my favorite game...Soul Silver! I personally found that Soul Silver had so much potential but so little usage of that potential. I hated how the leveling curve was absolutely horrendous, the levels of the wild Pokemon were terrible, the trainer's Pokemon were terribly leveled. (I got more experience from wild battles than trainer battles.) So I took it upon myself to revamp Soul Silver and provide a more entertaining game in the forme of a hack...Spirit Silver. Story The story is the same. You thwart Team Rocket. Obtain the legendary, Lugia. Beat the 16 Gym Leaders and fight Red. Beat the game...ya know. The usual. However, it's more or less the experience that I have revamped. Although as time goes along, you can expect an update to the game with a few additional storylines... Features [The Experience] - All 451 Pokemon are available in this game. (Wild Grass, Water, Etc. + Legendaries which will be obtained from various events scattered through Kanto/Johto) - Pokemon that evolve by trade have now been changed to evolve in a different manner. [Level up, item usage, etc.] (I will eventually release a TXT file disclosing all the evolutions and how to achieve them) - Pokemon Movesets have been updated to Gen V (or may even be updated to GEN VI) - Wild Pokemon Encounters have been updated - Gym Leaders and Trainers have been updated. [Higher Levels, More AI, More challenges, More fun, Different Pokemon, More Fun!] - All events (Pichu event, Celebi event, etc.) are being implemented into the game - New/Different Storylines may be implemented - Red's not so much the same anymore on top of that lonely mountain... - The Kanto Gym Leaders have been gotten rid of. They have been replaced by an even more challenging, ruthless, and fearless group of leaders who aren't afraid to tear your world down... Progress I have done everything up to the second gym. I will update this post as I go along. Now. Don't expect a beta to come out soon however if you want to beta test this game then by all means send me a message. I am considering putting up a beta after the fourth gym...otherwise known as the Goldenrod Gym. I am putting content onto this game as much as I can with the time available. I just need to know how to specifically edit Professor Oak's intro text, mugshots/back sprites, and a bit of scripting help. If anyone can provide this to me...then you will be credit so much, I wouldn't be able to describe my gratitude. Everything up until ILEX FOREST is just about done! Yay! I'm actually considering to add a few more potential events but other than that you can expect a playable BETA in the next two weeks! If you want to see more progress. Head on over to my channel on Youtube: ZephyrosDS where I will post updates, trailers, and other info concerning my game. As well as tutorials for those who are interested to join Gen IV hacking. Credits - PPRE: For most of the work done in this hack. From trainers, to scripting, to wild encounters, to items. This has been the one most important utility in my arsenal. - KazoWar: For developing BTX Editor which I could not have lived without. - Project Pokemon: For help on my hack and all the help I will need in the future.
  8. Ey' Project Pokemon. I've got a bit of a question. How do I change the Music/OST of Pokemon HGSS? I've figured out how to hack most of the game and while that is a monumental achievement it in itself, I can't figure out how to change the music found in Pokemon HGSS. I just need someone to point me in a general direction because a simple Google or Forum search does not yield any results. Whether it be a general pointer or an explanation I'd be grateful either way! Thanks!
  9. Way to be blunt bro but ah well. I guess I have to take that extra step sooner rather than later. Thanks for your help though, mate.
  10. ZephyrosDS

    Ey'!

Yo. What is up Project Pokemon? I am Zephyros. I am a long time Pokemon fan and finally decided to join the forums. Mainly because of the hacking section here but hey, I want to have fun regardless! A few things about myself, I love anime, manga. I've got a Youtube channel [i recently started it up: ZephyrosDS] and I actually have another channel which I've owned for a while however ZephyrosDS is for Pokemon. I am a big time hacker/modder of video games. I love messing around in video games and especially Pokemon. I'm surprisingly really good [from what people have said] at hacking GBA, and DS Pokemon games, so if you've got a question...hit me up! I actually will start posting Pokemon Hacking tutorials on my channel but I digress. I can't wait to get things started!
  11. I've considered getting that in all honesty but is there any alternative way to dump my games? Say, put my digital Pokemon X on an SD card which I then upload onto my computer?
  12. Hey, Project Pokemon community. I would love to try my hand at Pokemon X and Y hacking, seeing as how I've successfully hacked GBA and DS Pokemon Roms. I have both the cartridge Pokemon Y and a downloaded Pokemon X version. My question is how would I extract one of these versions to my computer so I could edit it as I wish? I've searched and I can't find anything but I know for a fact that it's possible. Thanks! ~Zeph
