Besides any that are mentioned in this thread that you haven't got already You wouldn't happen to know how to RNG Pokemon Colosseum, would you? I'd like to get RNG shiny versions of the Colosseum E-reader Pokemon. I have the E-reader cards, English, Japanese and Spanish copies of the game so I can get them in any language. If I can find somebody to work with, I can do the leg work if they can do the RNG/capture part and we'll both have our own set. I consider all non Japanese Pokemon to be Un-released in a way.

Does it work like a regular wondercard? 'Cause hex editing isn't my thing. How does one go about getting those un-released secret base decorations? I always want to make 100%, everything unlocked save files. It's the reason I tracked down the Regi Doll E-reader card. I think I already injected Lucario into my Platinum save. Are you using an emulator? I'm having an impossible time tracking down actual Korean carts for my collection. I think that sounds like a good idea. More people will likely notice the project if that's the case.

Yeah. And like I said to you in my last message, most of the e-Cards are preserved already and thanks to No-Intro even with verified hash. Except a few cards everything else is preserved. I don't know which ones are missing but I guess @BlackShark might have a list. One thing IMO... and I know I repeat myself when I say this... But it would be really neat to have Mystery Events completely analyzed. (And the e-Cards could be helpful to achieve this) And by this I mean including the communication process between the systems... (I think everything else is there already from what I remember...) This way we won't have to rely on injecting scripts and we might be able to activate Events like the Eon Ticket for Japanese Emerald more naturally. The same goes of course for transferring Mystery Gifts. (Joy Spot) Everyone who is capable to disassemble is very welcome. Edit: @Rufinian not legally. We do have the prototype script extracted from the FireRed, LeafGreen and Emerald roms... However this Mystery Gift was never officially distributed. The Altering Cave Event has a serious design flaw anyway. The Mystery Gift Script works so that everytime you talk to the deliveryguy in the Pokémon Center the Pokémon inside the Cave Changes. The responsible value for it advances by 0x01 to be exact and this each time you speak to him, which is because there is no flag for it. The script can be run over a d over. This goes until 0x08. After that it starts again at 0x00. These are the Pokémon for each value: 0x00 = Zubat 0x01 = Mareep 0x02 = Aipom 0x03 = Pineco 0x04 = Shuckle 0x05 = Teddiursa 0x06 = Hundour 0x07 = Stantler 0x08 = Smeargle However once you toss the Wonder Card, the script is gone as well. Which means you stuck with the last Pokémon you had in the Altering Cave. It's possible that they scrapped the Distribution of the Event because of this flaw. Alternatively they could have planned Event to make the Event so that it sets the value to only one of these Pokémon. But that doesn't make sense because the theme of the Cave is that it changes... so that would make only sense if they do the Event several times, which sounds troublesome... or you would have to decide which of the 7 other Pokemon you want... but I think the prototype is really what it would have been at the end. There's no efficient way to fix this issue, because of the way the Cave works and the way Mystery Gifts work. I personally don't have any interest in these 'mons (Outside of maybe Dawn's Piplup, Norman's Zigzagoon and Wally's Ralts) but I at least wanna say. That, my friend, is where you're wrong. The fact that they have no OT or ID is what makes them interesting. They were just some random Pokemon you were never meant to have but now you do. Now that I think about it though. If you guys can obtain Wally's Ralts. Could somebody RNG it shiny and then dump it? I doubt it would have an OT or ID but it would be kinda cool to have a shiny Wally' Ralts. And uh, if you happen to know how to RNG Colosseum. I uh, happen to have the E-reader cards. So you know, we could work together. Maybe get ourselves a set of shiny Colosseum E-reader mons each. Just saying.

I tied yesterday to play Pokemon Colloseum with E-reader cards in Dolphin 5.0 and VBA-M (the last SVN version with e-reader and link support) I hexedit my EU Save to make it a JP Save and it works with JP Pokemon Colloseum (it didnt work before in 4.0.2 Dolphin) Unfortunately it not work with PAL Pokemon Colloseum, i have made the save PAL again with hexedit inside the e-reader room but the e-reader connection fail in VBA. I have not tried with a US game -

So guys, this is the exact data that gets injected into the save file by using the e-cards! I extracted them months ago. Berry e-Cards will additionally set variable 0x402D to 1 so you could get the Berry from Norman. The script for that is not included in the Berries, this is already in the ROM. Even though this script exists and is working in Emerald, I wasn't able to find where the Berry data should go. Aparently, the Regi Dolls are actually obtaniable in non-japanese games via record mixing, @HaxAras has made it with real hardware too, so there's no doubt about it. Do you know if it's possible to inject various language E-reader trainers into eachother? Originally I wanted to take my Emerald strategy guide promo, scan it into a Japanese save and then convert to English to see what happens. I also wanna do it with the 4 trainer promo cards since those were actually released in English. -
A second tour? I'd assume that they were still from the e-Card (handed out or not), but it looks like we'll never know.

Yeah and 30 times from the e-Card people... (and some Collectors I talked with think even 30 times is too high... lol) I forgot to mention that I mean that people thought the European Eon Ticket was exchangable 100 times. And that was about 10 years ago or so... far before the German debug ROM was widely known.

Ok, I'm gonna make a few statements: 1.- Most e-cards dotcodes have been dumped and are available (all english sets are dumped maybe some promotional cards still missing, same goes for jap). 2.- Those dumped codes can be used on emulator, the same as with real hardware. 3.- The official way of doing it is language and game locked. It is probably not possible to modify the e-reader program to recognize any game, at least not for me (it is z-80 code, probably it can be made so the language and region check is skipped, but that's outside my abilities). 4.- The data inside the e-trainer and e-berry dotcodes (ect and ecb files) is compatible with all games, any region. The format is exactly the same. Of course, due to language encoding and the easy chat system, using it on a different language works, but probably the sentences will not make any sense.* 5.- In the future, I'd like to add a button to output an ect/ecb file as a ready to go e-reader savegame for the desired game language. Of course this will still be language/game region locked. I have the means to do that, but not the time. *There's currently a bug where some japanese ect files can't be opened in the editor, but injecting works fine. EDIT: also, dotcodes are e-reader software programmed in z80 language, for the pokemon games they communicate with the game and run several scripts in the gen 3 format. The Eon ticket event and e-trainer/berry are data that instead of getting run right away (like the regi dolls, which is a script that gives you the doll), are stored in the save. Also, a japanese save with an scanned trainer will work fine on another language rom, but the easy chat system text will make no sense. I think I covered most of the doubts? -
I'm not too worried about "Illegal" events. I've been wanting to experiment. For example, taking this shareable Emerald Eon Ticket and the Old Sea Map and injecting them to a Japanese save and then backing up and writing that on a Non J game and see what happens. I like to push the boundaries and whatever rules are implemented into the tool, I'll just work around. Not to say I don't value legitimacy. But these are just trophies for my personal collection anyway. I've really been wondering what people would consider the legitimacy of that to be. The wonder news I'd like to scan into my games. I have a good majority of the E-reader cards, the actual physical cards. A Colosseum set, Fire Red/Leaf Green, the Decoration Present, etc. so I'm not worried about that feature either. I mention this because the tool has E-reader support. I want to scan the Japanese E-reader cards into my English game and get the English versions of the final 3 shadow Pokemon and try the Fire Red/Leaf Green trainer hill cards on a J save and then restore it to other regions, etc. What would the legitimacy of these be considered? Mainly the shadow Pokemon. With stuff like the Regi dolls, I can 100% legitimately just trade them using record mixing so that isn't an issue. Edit: I really wanted to thank you all and everybody who participated in the other thread. Never did that teenager, back in 2008 who spent countless hours looking up AR codes or means of getting these tickets into his games think he'd be sitting here now actually able to do so. I don't know the reason. I just read that somewhere, but I can't recall where that was. I'll search it. Maybe .ect for e-Card Trainers and .ecb for e-Card Berries? Or since they are Mystery Events .met and meb? By the way, I already dumped all the data for Trainers and Berries from the saves. They currently have the .bin extension, but once you decided for an extension I can rename and upload them.

The was a distribution at Toys R Us from July 19th to September 1st 2003. Did they only distribute the e-Cards or was it done with an distribution cart? I could only find a news post on this site http://pkmn.net/?action=news&page=viewnews&id=290 but I think I read it somewhere else before. "you'll get the Eon Ticket downloaded onto your cartridge" doesn't sound like they distrbuted e-Cards. Unfortunately this might be lost in history though.
