This event is one out of two new Mega Evolving Pokemon distributed, Glalie International and Steelix Japan 3DS, that is distributed to players for playing the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Special Demo Version. In the Special Demo, the Pokemon is encountered in a battle, with it's stats, nature, ability, and gender, fully randomized, as per any battle, with the exception of it's Species, Level, and that it cannot be Shiny, being preset. After capture, it can be nicknamed, and then can it be sent as a gift to the full versions of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The language of the event is determined by the language of game save of the Special Demo Version, so it's possible to receive a Pokemon with different Language of Origin from the save of the full versions of the game. However, this Steelix can only be have Japanese as it's Language of Origin, as only Japanese 3DS Special Demo Version can encounter this Steelix, and the Special Demo Version for the Japanese Region does not have the language selection screen at the start of the Demo. Even when not nicknamed in the Special Demo, this Pokemon will have it's Nickname Flag checked, as long as the name it currently has is different from the default name of the species of the receiving game save's language. The Trainer ID is randomly generated and assigned when starting the Special Demo, and the Original Trainer will be Orlando ENG, FRE, GER, ITA, SPA or オメガ JPN or 오메가 KOR. ^ OT name languages refers to language of Special Demo, not Full versions. This wild area event held by Sword and Shield. It made Magikarp the focus of the event, with a high chance to encounter one shiny, to celebrate New Years 2020. The Shiny Magikarp is a 8% guaranteed spawn, across all tiers. While Magikarp crashed the #2 event, it merely shifted the spawns. As such, Gigantamax Snorlax is still available, just at a lower rate. For base game Pokémon Sword and Shield, without this event, there is no den that will enable players to encounter a Gigantamax Snorlax. As per the previous events, Drednaw and Sandaconda were Sword exclusive raids, and Corviknight and Centiskorch were Shield exclusive raids. Butterfree and Snorlax can be obtained regardless of game. Though it is important to note, host can include players of the opposite version to join in the raids. This event ran globally from December 31st, 2019 to January 3rd, 2020. When this event ended, it shifted back to Wild Area Event #2 (Index 07 in this case). To import these files into your save, use PKHeX's block importing function. Our tutorial should guide you through it. Our first post of this page would contain some data relevant to the importing stage. There's info and some common questions regarding Wild Area Events here. This gift is distributed to players via a serial code, given in participating stores in Europe, from 25 September to 25 October 2020. The codes are redeemable until January 31st, 2021 (Thanks @AlamosIT for the report). Using the Dynamax Crystal would allow the Pokémon to appear at the Watchtower Lair's Den as a max raid. The Pokémon can be Shiny with standard odds. Attached there are the wonder card, the standard Pokémon and the Shiny variation. To be able to use the items associated with the event, including injecting items into the save and getting it to work, the player's Switch must be connected to the internet, with the Mystery Gift>Get Wild Area News option used during the event period. Alternatively the player must have connected to the internet and redeemed a Mystery Gift during the event period. This gift can be redeemed on either Sword or Shield. This events also has a certain fixed IVs. As of time of writing, end date for the serial code redemption is presently unknown.
