Friend Code (3DS)

NNID (Wii U)

1. Oh man, you have no idea. I was reading this and you guys will probably be so happy to know. I have 100% legit, perfect contest berries in gen 3! They're on my Emerald save. If you'd be willing to contribute your save, I'd be more than happy to help you get copies of my Pokeblocks. I can: (You send me your save or a .pkm file) Give them to your Pokemon directly Use Triggers PC to give you clones (I'm pretty sure I can do this) Send you my Emerald save or an Emerald save with these Pokeblocks on it. I have all of the English E-reader cards and a handful of the Japanese. I could help you get the Regi dolls, any of the E-reader berries, Eon tickets in Ruby/Sapphire, etc. I'll edit this post or post a reply with as many screenshots as possible. Earlier this year on Serebii I met a couple collectors who are very big on legitimacy who also love Ribbon Masters. (I tried with my Suicune and did all of gen 3 but 4 is a nightmare. I also couldn't get anything else in gen 3 past the battle tower.) They helped me get the perfect Pokeblocks. I sent one of them my Emerald save and (Using an emulator and 4 versions of VBA) made the perfect berries. They used some of my berries. Legit berries that I grew myself. Pictures/Screenshots So after looking at Triggers PC, I have 2 sets on there. I'll happily give you them all if you're willing to contribute your save. You might find this interesting as well. Pokéblock Recipes to give a Pokémon perfect Condition (Gen III) https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemonribbons/comments/11su8j/pok%C3%A9block_recipes_to_give_a_pok%C3%A9mon_perfect/
2. @Maveon, any saves you have with legit events will be interesting, even if we already got them, so if you can dumo them and upload them (or send via pm if you want to keep the saves private) it would be a really big help. Any information you still remember from the events (when and where) would also be apreciates. It would be awesome if you really have that leaf green Mystic Ticket, since one of those is the most relevant event we are still missing. About the special berries you want: you can emulate the e-reader, both usa and jap, with the berry e-cards. You'll need to use a japanese rom and save for the berries exclusive to japan though if you want to keep it legit. Alternatively, you may just inject the berries into the savegame using the tool I coded. You can injwct jap only berries and use them on USA saves too, of course if you do this depends on what you consider legit, but you could trade your tiranitar to a japanese save and use the berries on the japanese game, so it makes not that much difference for the pokemon, so it ia up to you. ps: if you want legit, real hardware stuff, no emulator involved, I'm sure HaxAras will be able to help
3. Hi everyone. Long time lurker here. Recently I decided to embark on the project to create my ultimate (as legal as posible) Shinny Tyranitar. The idea is to breed it on emmerald and migrate it through every gen to collect with it all that it possibly can (conest ribbons, Colossium, Battle Revolution, pokethlon, etc.). Because of this I've been reading alot on gen III stuff, about creating the best pokeblocks to max out contest stats and all that it implies on the use of the e-reader. However because it's 2016, alot of the hardware necesary to acomplish this it's almost impossible to get, so my only option left is to emulate the whole pokeblock ordeal. That's the reason that brought me here, the search for some Ruby/Sapphire saves that contain the special e-reader berries to use for blending the ultimate pokeblocks. As I read this thread I began to remember that on 2004/2005 I attended to the distribution of the Mystic Ticket and Aurora ticket on my country, and although I didn't get the aurora ticket on my emmerald (the distribution here was on 2004), I did get both tickets on my Leaf Green, and best of all because of the way I play the games, both are unused, so I can still try to catch Ho-oh, Lugia and Deoxys. So what I'm asking is: Are you folks interested on my Leaf Green save? By any chance someone could have and share a Ruby/Sapphire save with the special berries I'm searching? I assure you both saves are unhacked, (my Emmerald has the Eon ticket unused too) if you wish I could search on my stuff for the memorabilia I got on both events (shadow lugia tcg giant card, some tcg mats, the tickets for said events, etc.)
4. I haven't read this thread in a while so I'll have to go back later and do that in the next few days. I discovered a YouTube video claiming you could scan in the Colosseum E-reader cards into non-Japanese saves as long as you have a Japanese E-reader +, the cards and a means of getting into the room. I didn't need a save/hexidecimal editor. That is far beyond me. I used an Action Replay Max and a "Cutting Room Floor" Action Replay code to spawn in the room. Requirements: Pokemon Colosseum/GameCube/TV are all a given. Pokemon Colosseum E-Reader + cards Japanese E-reader + GBA - GCN link cable GBA handheld Action Replay Max and memory card "The Cutting Room Floor" Action Replay code. Once you enter in the code and start up Colosseum, you'll be in the E-reader room using your original game and save. This is where the cheating stops. Link up your E-reader to your GameCube and scan in the cards, battle and win and eventually you'll be able to get legit shadow Pokemon on your non Japanese saves using legit hardware and not needing to edit anything using hexidecimal. I'm not the biggest fan of emulation so this is more my thing. I know not everybody can get their hands on these E-reader cards, etc. So this is just an option in case you can. I feel this is far easier than messing with save conversions. I'm actually wondering if this can be done in emulation. Just boot up your regions copy of the game, connect the Japanese E-reader + using whatever it is you guys use and "scan" the codes into your non J saves. If anybody has a PAL copy of Colosseum/XD, I'd also love to ask you a few questions. I'll edit in my video unless somebody (I doubt it) replies before the parts are done being combined and it's uploaded and titled. Would anybody happen to know what the ID's/PID's for these Pokemon to be shiny would be? Edit: Here's the video I promised. Scanning Japanese Colosseum Battle E cards into an English save using a Japanese E-reader +. I'd suggest skipping the first 4 minutes if vulgar language offends you. I talk like a sailor and it's me just basically explaining what I'm doing. I put timestamps in the description because the majority of the video is me failing while I try to figure this out. I always like to document my failures so other people can potentially save time down the line. I actually loaded up another one of my videos to solve a problem with this one so it's safe to say that it's a good idea to do so. I'll be making a video of my scanning in and battling all the other trainers at a later date. Edit: 12/5/16 A video I found on YouTube (also mentioned before, I think) said that the English E-reader will not work with the Japanese cards. But the Japanese E-reader WILL work with the English games. The PID of the Colosseum Pokemon are not fixed. I have my English copy, Trigger Deaths copies and my Japanese copies and they all have different PID's. The games have a max of 51 Purify-able shadow Pokemon. I ripped trigger_deaths Shadow Pokemon using a save editor and put them on my Japanese save file as I was going for those. I purified his Togepi first, it kept his OT and language. My count increased by 1 and it didn't increase past 51, even after I purified all 6 shadow Pokemon. (Maybe I did it on an English save. Now I can't remember.)
5. I found a video on YouTube. The guy used a custom GameCube Action Replay code to get into the room using an English save. He then claimed you could scan the cards in as long as you were using a Japanese E-reader + Description I'll be testing this out myself, hopefully sometime soon using my own cards. No emulators.
6. Probably a good idea, I don't think most people are familiar with the actual events. I know I personally only ever used gameshark to cheat the item in and not start the event. Don't be discouraged though, this is something I've been looking for for at least 7 years now, I just wish there were more wonder cards available. Do you want me to test all the .me3s in the folder or just the ones I see on the DS version? Also, as something pedantic: on the change cart screen on the NDS version the US spelling is ruby and sapphire, rather than rubi and saphire. EDIT: Sapphire (All Eon) PC E-Card: PASS ENG_UK: PASS ESP: PASS FRE: PASS GER: PASS ITA: PASS JPN: PASS (text problems, to be expected) NDS E-Card: PASS Italy: PASS GCN E-Card: PASS Italy: PASS Wii E-Card: PASS Italy: PASS
7. Ok, what's exactly not working with the 0.1c? Pleasetell me Game (RS, E, FRLG): Region: Ticket: Wooops, I had the file in my sd card, I though I removed the code checking for the ini, the modification doesn't need the file at all, next update will remove the need for that file. When you record mix: Eon ticket item is added. Flags for the event are set. The one distributed in japan: Sets a flag that enables an in-game event. This in game event (at the 2nd floor at the pokemon center) in turn enables the flags for the eon ticket event and provides the eon ticket item. Sets the eon ticket as the "sareable" item via record mixing. So, with the official event, you can record mix emerald with other games to get the ticket on those games. Also, the save has the in-game eont ticket event flag set, which is something really technical but for me it triggers the savegame "illegal" if made on a non-japanese region. Jap wondercards aren't compatible with non-jap games, they have a different format due to character encoding. The e-reader was deliverately blocked, so in my opinion they are not legal in any way, but I agree it's fun to mess with these things. There has been research, done with those 3 missing pokemon, it can be done with emulators on any region right now, I can't find the thread though. There were even some savegames to get those last shadow pokemon.
8. I'm not too worried about "Illegal" events. I've been wanting to experiment. For example, taking this shareable Emerald Eon Ticket and the Old Sea Map and injecting them to a Japanese save and then backing up and writing that on a Non J game and see what happens. I like to push the boundaries and whatever rules are implemented into the tool, I'll just work around. Not to say I don't value legitimacy. But these are just trophies for my personal collection anyway. I've really been wondering what people would consider the legitimacy of that to be. The wonder news I'd like to scan into my games. I have a good majority of the E-reader cards, the actual physical cards. A Colosseum set, Fire Red/Leaf Green, the Decoration Present, etc. so I'm not worried about that feature either. I mention this because the tool has E-reader support. I want to scan the Japanese E-reader cards into my English game and get the English versions of the final 3 shadow Pokemon and try the Fire Red/Leaf Green trainer hill cards on a J save and then restore it to other regions, etc. What would the legitimacy of these be considered? Mainly the shadow Pokemon. With stuff like the Regi dolls, I can 100% legitimately just trade them using record mixing so that isn't an issue. Edit: I really wanted to thank you all and everybody who participated in the other thread. Never did that teenager, back in 2008 who spent countless hours looking up AR codes or means of getting these tickets into his games think he'd be sitting here now actually able to do so. (Or do 1/10th of the other things I can do now either.) Seriously, thank you all so much.
9. I think this is interesting enough to get posted here, as it is relevant to Mystery Event. Aparently, the Regi Dolls are actually obtaniable in non-japanese games via record mixing, @HaxAras has made it with real hardware too, so there's no doubt about it. You can read his post here: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?50474-GEN-III-Mystery-Gift-Tool-Nintendo-Events-Wondercards-e-Trainer-cards-and-e-Berry-editor-(and-more!)&p=221895&viewfull=1#post221895 Here is how to legitimately get them (instructions by Invader TAK):
10. Only Japanese Emerald has both Mystery Event and Mystery Gift. Which is strange, considering the only e-Reader cards Emerald got were to add Trainers to Trainer Hill, and those are sent through Mystery Gift. The ones released for R/S aren't compatible, I tried it using printed dot codes since I don't have ANY Japanese e-Cards, just the Card e-Reader+.
11. This is 100% correct and worded much better than I could have ever put it. I was skimming through the tool earlier today. I couldn't figure out a few things. Stuff like the E-reader berries required files to be loaded. (Thanks to BlackShark for posting those. I have the English cards (minus a couple promo's but not all the Japanese one yet.) I think the wonder mail/wonder cards did as well. Are there no official wonder cards loaded into the tool? I want them more for the novelty of getting to see them in my actual carts. I have no interest in creating my own. Another thing I was wondering about. With the different tickets being region locked. I loaded in an Emerald save and certain events were blocked for certain languages. Will there ever be a way to have the tool scan any ticket into any save? I know people don't consider various tickets in the wrong language to be legit. But as far as my collection goes (gen 3 living dexes in every language) it's not a problem for me. For my personal collection, as long as the Pokemon were generated in-game (on the islands), I don't care how the tickets were obtained. Eventually I'll get different copies of Pokemon Colosseum and XD: from various regions but I'd also like a way to get these island Pokemon. I'd normally just find some Action Replay codes and backup my saves, write them into an English cart and then restore them to the original region. But this would be quicker. I'm more of a preservationist. My interest is in making sure as many of these old events are preserved as possible.
12. Nice work! It looks like the visibility of the buttons don't get updated when you override the game version. They get updated in the Event Tool. Also the offsets seem to be fine though. By the way, if anyone is looking for ECT and ECB files: e-Card Trainers.zip e-Card Berries.zip e-Card Berries.zip e-Card Trainers.zip
13. That is entirely incorrect. I have the Decoration Present card, English and Japanese Emerald versions, E-readers and whatever else I'm forgetting to mention. Scan Decoration Present into Japanese R/S/E (I honestly can't remember if you can scan it into Emerald) Mix records to transfer it from a Japanese Ruby to a Japanese Emerald using the Mauville city decoration trader. Then mix records between the Japanese Emerald and the English Emerald using the same trader. I may be the first English player or one of to get legit Regi dolls on the English games. I can provide proof that I have all these thins as well as a video showing the process needed to transfer legit dolls. I also uploaded a Japanese Ruby save on the thread for this project with the Regi dolls inserted. ---- When you were talking about the Japanese Old Sea Map. It made me wonder if I could just write my non-Japanese roms to my Japanese save, insert the Old Sea map and get the Mew on my Japanese cart, back it up and restore it back to my non J saves. As well as just restore it before I catch it to get non J Mew. What would be the legality of that? Edit: I don't like making claims without providing proof. So here it is. Picture of all my stuff. http://imgur.com/a/UEWJq Here's a terrible video of the Decoration Present being scanned in. I can make a video of the transfer but I'd have to record one game with a webcam and the other using my Hauppauge.
14. Hey guys, I don't mean to spam this thread, but I found this while searching in Google and I've been following the process of you guys working on these tools. I have a quick question, is it possible to inject the Old Sea Map wonder card into a Japanese save and then transfer that wonder card in game from that save to an English save, and 'legally' obtain the Old Sea Map that way? Also, after I injected the wonder card into my Japanese save, I could not receive the Old Sea Map. The man on the 2nd floor of the PC would just 'thank me for using Mystery Gift'. I think there might be a bug or something. P.S., there is another thread on this site that provides a ZIP with a lot of the official e-Reader files and a tool to inject them. Pretty cool, I've been checking them all out: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?46216-GEN-3-e-Reader-Event-Injection
15. Yeah and 30 times from the e-Card people... (and some Collectors I talked with think even 30 times is too high... lol) I forgot to mention that I mean that people thought the European Eon Ticket was exchangable 100 times. And that was about 10 years ago or so... far before the German debug ROM was widely known.
16. I remember hearing rumors that the e-Card ticket could only be shared like, 3 or 4 times (guess they mixed it up with the ticket from the German debug ROM).
17. Yeah, that's something we already know. And I agree with you but I think it was rather the other way around... haha The possibility to transfer e-Card Eon Ticket via mixing records was propably limited to 30 to keep the Eon Ticket rare in the US. Because the e-Card had the advantage to be scanned and being transferred anytime and as many times and with as many games you want. Essentially it means the same as you say so it doesn't matter anyway.
18. Not to mention the European and Japanese tickets can be sent 151 times, probably to compensate Japan's lack of an e-Reader card for it (and their Emerald's incompatibility with the R/S cards) and Europe's lack of the e-Reader.
19. Please, always keep a backup of your savegames! To know where this comes from, please read this thread: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?46883-GEN-3-Mystery-Gift-Research PC Version: https://github.com/projectpokemon/Gen3-WCTool/releases/ GC/Wii Homebrew: https://github.com/suloku/gba-link-cable-dumper/releases/ NDS Homebrew: https://github.com/suloku/savegame-manager/releases/ e-Reader savegames for Eon Ticket transfer (all regions) via Link Cable with real hardware: EON_ticket_ereader_savegames.zip Sorry, I can't make a propper post right now. I'll try to get this decent tomorrow. There are some readme included. FAQ: Q: What's the diference between using any of these injection apps and sending my cartridge to nintendo? A: None. Q: I have a ESP/GER/ITA/FRE game. If I inject the USA Mystic ticket, will this be legit? A: All evidence suggests that the USA Wondercard distributions were compatible with all non-japanese games. Game release dates make it also technically possible to have received an Emerald Mystic ticket on an European game, and we know the USA Aurora Ticket distribution device is compatible with European games (but it only distributed the english wondercard, fully opetational though). - USA and UK games are the very same game rom, so all the english events apply to both, regarless of being European or USA. - The spanish Emerald Aurora ticket wondercard is fine, Nintendo messed up and left Vermillion city instead of updating the wondercard text to Hoenn. The event was never done in Spain, but it could be received at other countries if you used the spanish cart, so it is totally legit, so don't worry, nintendo was very sloppy with this. - Nintendo also messed up the german Eon Ticket (there is photo proof from oficial german distribution that this was already known). 20. At long last, the price for all this waiting!: https://github.com/suloku/wc-tool/releases/tag/0.1 Yes, there's no FRLG Mystic ticket yet, as you know, we posponed release in an attempt to get the missing events, but seems pointles to keep it anymore since we collected everything we could already (many thanks to Real.96!!). I'm gonna make a thread for the tool, but I gotta sleep so I'll be trying to update it during the week. GC/WII and NDS injection apps tomorrow, sorry for those expecting them (they are ready, but can't pospone sleeping anymore). Please keep anything tool-related here, this thread is for mystery gift research and discussion: https://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?50474-GEN-III-Mystery-Gift-Tool-Nintendo-Events-Wondercards-e-Trainer-cards-and-e-Berry-editor-(and-more!)
21. No problem, I fixed it myself so I could keep playing and figured posting the ID would save you some time. It's a homebrew app that allows you to load parts of a game from your SD card instead of the cart, so you can play hacks with it as long as you have a copy of the game. It also works with e-shop versions. Depends on what you're using it with. ".code.bin" is usually fine.
22. Ok, seems like time to try feeding some info into this thread. I know this seems a long wait, but we want the OFFICIAL events. If you only want the legit pokemon, one can do so with Morpheo's codes, then erase the wondercard. The result is exactly the same as with the official one. For eon ticket you can just put your savegame on the USA rom and use the eon ticket e-card, or mix records with a usa game with the eon ticket e-card if you want to keep the savegame clean. As axjpkm stated, all this delay and keeping the wondercard algorythm closed has the only purpose of minimizing the chances of getting faked wondercards contributed. This doesn't mean we can't get fooled, but now that we are only missing 6 events (two if not counting different versions of USA mistyc ticket we are missing) the chances are lower. Anyone with enough ASM skills could get what is needed, and it actually has been done before, but no one made it public. My personal opinion is that by providing a way to fully customize wondercards people won't feel the need to go and fake them. I doubt anyone will go trough the trouble of asm reverse engineering the checksum function just to scam us (or make profit trough ebay or something), but if the algorythm is available it would only need a basic coding knowledge to make fake wondercards. I haven't worked on the actual tool for a while since we are just waiting for the missing tickets (even though I expect bugs to appear, but overall it should do it's job with no problem), but I guess I can tell all of you that the nds(original/lite) and gc/wii injection tools have already been coded. They are basic and simple, but do the job. Also, I recently (two days ago) got a spanish FRLG savegame with Aurora ticket from the actual event, the one we already had was received by sending the cartridge to nintendo spain back when the service was still running. The wondercards are exactly the same, so I bet it was the same machine as in the events. And I don't remember if I already posted this, but technically speaking I'm pretty sure USA mistyc tickets could be received in european cartridges, even for european emerald, which would have had a narrow ~36h window from european release to fly to the USA event and receive the wondercard, but it still makes those events probably legit in european languages other than english. This is based in the following: - We know the USA aurora ticket distro device is compatible with european games (english WC is sent) - Non-jap game can send the wondercard (if edited to be shareable) to any non-jap game, regardless of language (WC text and script remains in original language, but the point is that the transfer is not region locked). Of course a mistyc ticket distribution device would be the best to confirm this, but we don't have one and doesn't seem to be anyone on the net that owns one.
23. Hello,Kaphotics and everyone, thanks for your great works and update in pkhex, this software makes me feel really free in this game. My game environment is GW card, PMOR 3ds rom, Japanese version new 3ds 9.1 with virtual 11. I have found three bugs with pkhex editing my PMOR save recently, pls help me  1. After I click Pokedex editor, modify(the middle button) - complete Dex, modify(the right button)- seen all, then export the main file and import back to my GW 3ds PMOR rom,if I click pokedex in game and view any pokemon's "more appearence" with A button, then this jumps out everytime 2.Everytime in game I try to edit the pokemon name or box name or slogan of secret base, anything with the text editor in game, black screen again, but I'm not sure if this is a pkhex bug, any suggestions? 3.Secret base editor in pkhex, only for Secrect base No.0-9, any edit even just apply the original secret base content back, jump out bug report window; however No.10-30 is all ok and well editable. 24. Yes, i kept the copies of the saves, for the momento only the first shadow pokemon battle. I upload the saves. I have made a little program in C# where i decrypted the file and extracted the save file data using the algotirhm from the program PkmGCSaveEditor (I'm a C# developer), i include also dat files with de savedata already decrypted. The dat files have only the data of the last saveslot from every save, Pokemon Colloseum save files have 3 copies of the save inside the file in case one or two is corrupt. I analyzed the changed data between saves Starting in position 9ABF there is the data of the Normal E-Reader Trainers already defeated. 20 ocurrences of 16 bytes each one, one from every trainer. Probably it can be more trainers stored because you can fight a promotional trainer with a promotional e-reader card that is not part of the 20 normal cards. The 16 bytes structure is 10 bytes for the trainer name, then 00 01 00 00 01, the secon trainer have in this part 00 01 00 00 02 and so on. The second number is clearly the number of the trainer to show in order, from 1 to 20, the first 01 it should mean is has been defeated in easy mode, i suppose the other zeros will change when is defeated in other difficulty modes. The data of the four special trainer is stored starting 9A59, that means special trainers are stored before normal trainers, this time only 14 bytes per trainer. There is clearly space for 7 special trainers, the first 4 are the ones defeated after every 5 normal e-reader trainers, the other space maybe is used with the special trainers onlucked with the promotional e-reader cards, there was only two cards edited, only one is dumped in raw format. I dont know, i have to check the save files after defeating the promotional a-reader trainer, but i wont do that after unlocking the 3 shadow pokemons. Every special trainer have 00 01 00 00 after his name, that means there is not saved the trainer number like the normal trainers, only the bytes for defeated in every mode (I only tested easy mode, but there is 4 possible modes, easy, normal, hard and endless). Ok, now the fun part, shadow trainer. In the save after defeating trainer 20 and special trainer 4 it changes a lot, not just the names of the last two trainers like the others. I have one save with 19 trainers and 3 special trainers and another after defeating 20 and 4 and it not only changes the trainers list. From DA24 to DC06 all this is filled with data that in the save before unlocked the shadow trainer was everithing zero's. I think that is all the information of the Shadow Trainer, that means none of the e-reader trainers data is stored in the game, is everithing readed from the card, not only the normal trainers, but also the fight with special trainers and shadow trainers. In 1BB0C it change also from 0s to 30 DC 30 C7 30 B9 00 00 00 00 00 00 1E 00. It could be the data of the shadow pokemon from the shadow list, i'm not sure yet. I dont know what is the data stored in this area, it seems a list of something. After chatching the shadow pokemon there is more changes, i ignore those that happens around the party pokemon data and the bank data of course. It chenges in the position 9AB9 from 00 to 01. This are is between the special trainers and the normal e-reader trainers. DA24, in the data just before all the shadow trianer data, has changed from 0 to 1. 1B01F change from 30 to 31, in decimal from 48 to 49, just the number of shadow pokemon captured. In 1B353 there is 07 C6 90 38 09 00 00 00 80, before it was 0's 1BDC5 changed from 0 to 1 1BB20 changed from FF FF 00 32 to 00 30 00 46. Is in the same part of the list mentioned with the changes in 1BB0C. I could be the shadow pokemon list. Ok, the next part will be trying to inject this data to a save without doing nothing in the e-reader room to make the trainer appears. The data from DA24 to DC06 is the first we should try. That should make the trainer appears. And last, a link with the save files https://mega.nz/#!aZtjWS5K!-ofYUkW2_5jpf9PGT3odpEuO49ZTNOwlZimjFY7Df7o
25. As i said the PAL version of Pokemon Colloseum does not work with the e-reader in Dolphin but the JP version works. I dont know it doesnt working with the PAL game is an error with dolphin or just e-reader works with the american version but not with the european one. BUT it is possible to have an unreleased pokemon with PAL version using just Dolphin and VBA. I explain what i did First, change the region of your savegame to JP, to do that open the gci save file with an hex editor and change the first 4 bytes. In PAL the first bytes is GC6P and USA savefile will have GC6U or maybe GC6E, we need GC6J for JP version. Just like that, nothing more. The save banner will be the wrong one but doesn't matter, the game doesn't care about the banner. Now open again the save file with PkmGCSaveEditor and change the region and language in Game Configuration to NTSC-J and Japanesse or else the game will not works. Inject the gci file into the memory card raw for japanesse games with the memory card tool included with dolphin and then press the option "Fix Checksum". Load the japanesse ISO, remember to do not have the GBA pluged into controller port B or else the controller will not works. You just need to load the game and then select GBA in port B controller options. Load the e-reader+ rom in VBA. I use myself the version VisualBoyAdvance-M-SVN-r1507, that version have options to load e-reader raw dotcodes. In VBA select link connection with Dolphin and connect. In the Gamecube load your savefile a go to the e-reader room in Phenac Stadium. In VBA select GameCube connection and then in Gamecube talk to the woman at the left and select the first option, a program will be loaded into the GBA. This is the point where the PAL game does not works, it wont connect with VBA, but the japanesse game will. You can now make a savestate in VBA and use it always to connect to GC, that way wont be necesary to do the process of download the program to the GBA anymore. But do not try to make savestates in Dolphin, i did it and then Dolphin could not save the files in its memory card. You will need to play in Dolphin without savestates, using only normal save files. Ok, now the e-reader part. In VBA select load e-reader dot code and load one of the Colloseum cards, for example the first card, A1. It wont do nothing, is normal. Then go to elevator in GC and enter. It will launch a japanesse menu with a list (still empty) of e-reader trainers, here if you press A it will load the last card readed in VBA, in this case the fist trainer, and inmediatly the fight will begin. After beating the first trainer, you will return to the e-reader menu. If you press A again it will tell you that you need to read the next cards of the series. Go to VBA an load another card, for example the card A2. Another fight will begin. You can read the card in VBA whanever anytime, the GC will read the last card loaded when you press A in the e-trainers menu. You can read the cards in any order, you can a card of a defeated trainer and it will starts a fight with more levels until you beat him in 3 difficulties. If you leave the e-trainers menu you will need to talk again to the left woman to check the connection with the VBA, thats way is impossible to fight the trainers without e-reader using a save editor, the game will check the connection with GBA and it will check the e-reader before allow you to start a battle. After beating 5 trainers in a row in one difficulty mode you will fight a special trainer. After beating 20 trainers and 4 special trainers in one difficulty the shadow trainer will appeared in the room. Here comes the unrealeshed part. Now exit the e-trainers menu, you will see the trainer waiting in front of the door. Ignore him, just save the game and stop the emulator. Now, with the dolphin memory card tool extract the japanesse save game and make all the changes from the start but backwards, we want the file again ready for the PAL/NTSC-U game. Hexesit, PkmGCSaveEditor, inject it into the PAL/USA memory card and fix checksum again. Now load your PAL/NTSC-U game, you will be in the e-reader room with the shadow trainer available. Just beat it and catch your shadow unreleased pokemon. After that you will need to repeat the process again 2 times more, to beat again all the trainers in Normal difficult for the 2ns shadow pokemon, and hard for the 3rd.
