I find it ironic when some ROM hackers say to use "clean" or "unedited" dumps for the patches, yet absolutely never validates if the base vanilla ROM being utilized is actually a good dump or not, and will proceed to create patches for that bad dump (or on occasions, a modified bad dump that isn't known to exist period). We really need to evolve past these bad habits already, 10+ years of Pokemon DS related hacking, come on now lol. These patches require a bad dump, this dump to be exact: File: Pokemon_SoulSilver_USA_NDS-XPA.nds CRC-32: ebb387e7 MD5: 545aa550bafeebdd71ee0256d4c122a0 SHA-1: 0959fe9e64dc749382460f1ccf90996f5ef4088d SHA-256: 90f463f2373cda81b6799f58dd55cf3acadb824f183708c00b74817e2f0a6456 This is the correct dump to be using: File: Pokemon - SoulSilver Version (USA).nds CRC-32: d8ea6090 MD5: 8a6c8888bed9e1dce952f840351b73f2 SHA-1: f8dc38ea20c17541a43b58c5e6d18c1732c7e582 SHA-256: 51d0f94a16af7d77c067b4cb7d821ba890a13203a2e2c76049623332c0582e20 Patches for the actual good dump provided at the bottom of this post, you can apply the patch with any of these three pieces of software, if you prefer something else, just ensure that the patching solution you use is compatible with the patches: Xdelta UI: (Windows) https://gbatemp.net/download/xdelta-ui.38327/ MultiPatch: (MacOS) https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/746/ Xdelta Patcher: (Online) (Intended for mobile users, always better to use actual local software instead if possible.) https://kotcrab.github.io/xdelta-wasm/ As a bonus, here is a working online MD5 checksum checker solution, you can verify the results with what is provided above, offline solutions do exist of course, but you are on your own seeking such things: https://minitoolz.com/tools/md5-file-checksum/ Pokemon - Vitalized Silver (20240115) (USA).xdelta Pokemon - Vitalized Silver (20240115) (Hard) (USA).xdelta

Pokémon Blaze Black 2 & Pokémon Volt White 2
DeadSkullzJr replied to Drayano's topic in ROM - NDS ROM Hacks
Uploaded a fixed version of v1.2, messed something up on accident that I ended up finding out about while fixing another hack. The game won't be any different with this fix, but I'm not someone who likes sitting leaving stuff as-is if I know there's an issue. Links aren't different, you can grab the fixed versions from the post I made about the update. https://projectpokemon.org/home/forums/topic/24126-pokémon-blaze-black-2-pokémon-volt-white-2/?do=findComment&comment=274862 -
white White Hack: Pokémon Special/Adventures Edition
DeadSkullzJr replied to DeGladiator's topic in ROM - NDS ROM Hacks
Hello everyone, yet another compatibility fix update. The original patch was a bit of a doozy to deal with, but I managed to work up what was needed for it and fixed up the hack. As usual as with most of my other hack updates, this fixes compatibility for solutions capable of running compatible titles in DSi mode. v1.3 - June 2, 2023 DeadSkullzJr: - Made adjustments to the ROM image. - Restored Nintendo DSi related data in the ROM image. black / white Pokémon Blaze Black & Pokémon Volt White
DeadSkullzJr replied to Drayano's topic in ROM - NDS ROM Hacks
Hello everyone, did yet another compatibility fix, this time with Blaze Black and Volt White. v3.2 - May 31, 2023 DeadSkullzJr: - Made adjustments to the ROM image. - Restored Nintendo DSi related data in the ROM image. - Removed the anti-piracy bypass patch. The anti-piracy bypass patch was removed because it's generally a bad practice to apply patches like these to ROM hacks due to the constant changes that occur to the ROM image(s). The other reason is because anti-piracy bypass solutions tend to receive updates from time to time to account for aspects of the game that may have been missed in the past. Lastly, these types of patches should only ever be applied by the end user and not forced, these should only ever be used if by chance the environment you are working with requires a solution like this for the game(s) to run properly, not all environments are guaranteed to operate the same exact way or handle game related data in the same manner. Hello everyone, I've been working on a project that I started last year, and decided to share my progress with you all. My goal with this project is to extract as much event distribution information as I can from whatever distribution methods that exists to maintain 100% accuracy with said information. Generations IV and V are my current priorities given all the newer generations seem to be accounted for well enough for the time being. The difference between these extractions versus the traditional save extraction variants, they lack date received information, and in some cases, my extractions have encrypted data where some of the save extracted variants are decrypted (not that it's a bad thing of course, but distributions for these generations are always encrypted so, take that as you will). This is of course all work in progress and I will keep updating this for the future. Download: https://mega.nz/file/1E5zQapS#e81ZxPWd8HyTWR9i8qaeRh75QT_XYlS3nevZqcwAw2M As a small side project, I decided to invent wonder cards of my own for events that never got distributed (currently only for generation IV), I made sure to keep them in line with official wonder cards to make them as authentic as possible down to the data, making these technically 100% accurate. While some of these events are available in one form or another, this is my attempt at a "clean" distribution as if it was official. I provided PGT and WC4 variants of these wonder cards, that way you can use what you feel for your game(s). Just keep in mind there is a PCD box limit of three, PGTs carry the event data needed in-game. Pokémon Blaze Black 2 & Pokémon Volt White 2
DeadSkullzJr replied to Drayano's topic in ROM - NDS ROM Hacks
Hello everyone, I decided to redo v1.2 as I managed to make some drastic improvements regarding compatibility, rendering my previous v1.2 build obsolete. With this version you can finally play the ROM hack in DSi Mode using solutions like TWiLightMenu. v1.2 - March 27, 2022 DeadSkullzJr: - Made adjustments to the ROM image. - Restored Nintendo DSi related data in the ROM image. - Removed the anti-piracy bypass patch. The anti-piracy bypass patch was removed because it's generally a bad practice to apply patches like these to ROM hacks due to the constant changes that occur to the ROM image(s). I just tested, they are working as intended for me, the best way to know for certain is to talk to the woman in the Pal Park on the second floor on the right, she gives backdrops depending on the Game Boy Advance title in slot-2. If she gives you stuff then the code is working, as will the encounters, you just have to deal with the scarce encounter chances.

Hello everyone, today I bring you something new to the table. Years ago I wasn't fortunate enough to own every Pokemon game for the Game Boy Advance, it wasn't until years later when I could finally get my hands on more copies of the games, the drawback however is the absurd price tags that many sellers throw these respective titles up for. At one point I looked down at the copies I owned and wondered if I could somehow replicate or utilize dual-slot mode in the game, without having to require these game cartridges. With enough research and some tinkering, I can now happily say that it is now possible to utilize dual-slot mode in Pokemon - Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum Version without requiring the respective Game Boy Advance titles. Pros: - Allows the ability to participate in Dual-Slot Mode exclusive Pokemon encounters. - Able to be switched on the fly without having to reboot the game console. - Allows the ability to obtain Dual-Slot Mode exclusive items. - Can be used on any Nintendo DS/3DS system without requiring the Game Boy Advance game cartridges or Slot-2. Cons: - Does not enable the ability to migrate Pokemon. Why doesn't this allow the ability to migrate Pokemon? Answer: Well, it should be pretty obvious, but the reason being is because you cannot mimic an entire game cartridge with save data using cheat codes. Pokemon - HeartGold/SoulSilver Starter Modifier (Elm) Codes
DeadSkullzJr replied to DeadSkullzJr's topic in RAM - NDS Cheats
You can, however it would be completely pointless given you can only choose one in the first place, I made these separate for each starter just to keep it evened out. -

Pokemon - HeartGold/SoulSilver Starter Modifier (Elm) Codes
DeadSkullzJr replied to DeadSkullzJr's topic in RAM - NDS Cheats
You'll have to use a separate code of sorts or use PKHeX (recommended). -
Sorry for the late reply, the groups are specific to the natures you want depending on gender ratio of your choice. I couldn't cram the nature list in the description so you'll have to rely on the information from the internet regarding the groups. These codes when used are only active when you press and hold the L or R button (varies on the version of the game respectively), once you release the button(s) everything will return to normal.
