  1. This is the exact kind of situation Admiral_Fish explained to me was the reason for the verification going back. It would definitely be great if PKHex did that too.

    what pid is bacd_r?

Reverse Method 1 with a seed that is between 0 and 65535 (0xFFFF)
  3. Like people do with Zelda? I suppose.
  4. It is weird because I think EU nonEnglish cannot even redeem an SEA Pokemon? Can you confirm @theSLAYER?
  5. Gen 4/5 had distributions locked to a specific language. The wondercards could be written in English for example, but it would have a language flag for that game. For example if WORLDS wanted to distribute the same wondercard in English to every language, there would be 7 wondercards, all in English, but with a language flag specific to the language it was distributing. Gen 6/7 depends on the distribution method. The wondercards themselves are not region locked. Gen 6/7 has language limitation capabilities but as far as I am aware, it was never used. Serial code events are different. The serial code redemption itself is what determines the language/wondercard received (if applicable). Redemption of a serial code is region/language restricted. If a region supports a language, but the wondercard doesn't exist, then the user gets the region's default language (Japanese for Japan, Korean for Korea, and English everywhere else). US - Restricted to NA (including SA) - English, French, Spanish - All other languages get English EU - Restricted to EU Region - English, French, Spanish, German, Italian - All other languages get English JP - Restricted to Japan Region - All languages get Japanese KO - Restricted to Korean Region - All languages get Korean HK/TW - Restricted to EU English, JP, and TW Regions - All languages get English SEA - Restricted to US & JP - All languages get English Sometimes HKTW and SEA are combined so it becomes All US, All EU, JP, and TW (I think Marshadow was like this?)

    bug in last update

Serebii, bless his heart, often puts up event information in anticipation of the event and forgets to correct it later. He is also too busy to keep track and fix all of the small issues. There are lots of them too unfortunately. Our gallery is 99% accurate and PKHex uses the gallery for legality. So definitely check our gallery first.
  7. It is surprising they didn't do this for Japan.
  8. Ah that is a good idea! Note about legality for those finding this post: Strictly speaking, the only valid Pokemon are those redeemed by the staff. This includes specific PID/IVs, console/region/date information, and in Gen 6, the staff redemption memories. Generating your own will be easy to spot as fake. We also know they were redeemed and prepped ahead of time, so the date will most likely not match the day of the event.
  9. Yeah I did that on purpose since the original wondercards (if we had them) would have been pre-evolved. I can make separate cards specifically for PKHex if it helps.
  10. If it exists, we don't have it. We only have the one for FrLg.
  11. Isn't it possible to stop evolution by pressing B? Or is that not possible with trade evolutions? Either way It is possible that a person trades the necessary item to staff who then puts it on the Pokemon then trades.
  12. Local wireless allows anyone to get it anytime and the infrared is not capable of doing it on the switch (as established by @SciresM). I bet they will generate serial codes now. Might even restrict redemption using online sync services.
  13. If I had to guess, they aren't going to use local wireless at all anymore. The fact that they require you to show your switch and game indicates that they either don't have the technology ready, or want to have the same effect without using it. Also Birthday codes will be a high price. but not that high. There are LOTS of pokemon center locations. A quick trip around Japan throughout your birthday month and you could get 100's of serial codes.
  14. PKHex is not updated that often. You should make a folder called mgdb and include the events from our Github. https://github.com/projectpokemon/EventsGallery You can download the entirely thing and extract the Released folder to the mgdb folder you made. Keep it up to date and your legality will work.
  15. I think this is the first time a Pokemon will be given away as a prize. Theories on how this will be done?
  16. Might be something to have @Admiral_Fish work on if he has extra dev cycles.
  17. This is painful since you need to account for the onscreen keyboard and any extra characters used for event pokes (depending on generation).
  18. Gen 2? If its not on our gallery then probably not.
  19. Most likely you aren't getting a Method 1 properly. PKhex checks more then PID/IV. It backtracks everything to the battle start % frame to see if it is valid. There are several steps taken, including nature confirmation rolls, first Pokemon party ability, level/encounter slot, etc. And not in that particular order.
  20. Editing the ROM would require a direct code change, not a data file modification. Nobody is going to create an app to modify the direct code in that way. It's also not one small code change either. Lots of calculations rely on specific integer sizes. Most likely you would break/crash the game trying to make this modification.
