Yeah. I've noticed. They're called Critical Catches and they are more likely to catch the Pokemon than they are with normal catches. Critical Catches are pretty rare and random.

The DW is undergoing maintenance now. But normally when you'd access the 'The Pokemon Global Link is coming March 30, 2011!' If you replace the address in the address bar with 'http://pokemon-gl.com/index.php' you should get the Jap Global Link. If you do this: you'd get the GL.

My first shiny Pokemon was a shiny Geodude in Mt. Mortar (If that's how you spell it) while I was looking for a Marill in my HeartGold.

For me it would be my Pikachu or my Spiky-Eared Pichu.

I once had a really had a hard time catching a lv 70 Lugia. I used about 5 Poké Balls, 7 Dusk Balls and about 60 Ultra Balls. I needed to reset a lot of times too. Stupid thing kepped KO'ing itself with struggle. (Posted from my DSi)
