    Anything that ends in .ds.gba is meant to be launched in DS mode from the GBA slot. If your flashcart is in fact a DS flashcart, you'll need a passme of some sort.

    1. No, Read Only Memory is read only and cannot be changed. 2. It is illegal to share ROMs, edited or not. Even if the service exists, it would be easier to buy a flash cart. I recommend the Supercard DSTWO, but some R4 clones running Wood R4 are also good.

    The checksum tries to make sure there's no corruption in the Pokémon data. If the data was changed due to a bad flash bit or something, the checksum check fails and results in the bad egg.

    You must meant the Powersaves 3DS. I do hope they get Pokémon X/Y support, but that's unlikely because it's designed not to be read from outside the cart.

    Is it an Action Replay 3DS or a 3DS compatible Action Replay DSi? The DSi one doesn't work on 3DS games.

    It's currently a very user unfriendly process, because it's still in the making. Wait until a tool is released because you may have a hard time with capturing packets of data and extracting certain bytes.

    The game probably just checks for the presence of the Shiny Charm. Screwing around with item cheats in the 4th gen showed me that many events are messed up if you have all the key items.

    Backup the save and restart the game and save. Note the name and size of the resulting save and try to replicate that.
